Sunday Night Football is oozing with storylines as the Green Bay Packers battle the Pittsburgh Steelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pregame narrative:<\/strong> Aaron Rodgers faces the Packers for the first time. The veteran quarterback will likely be motivated to shine in a pivotal primetime showdown. Jordan Love, however, aims to prove that he’s the man to bring the next Lombardi Trophy to Titletown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Packers vs. Steelers predictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SGP: Steelers +3 | Rodgers over 1.5 touchdowns | Smith over 28.5 receiving yards (+360)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steelers +3 (-112):<\/strong> Betting on Mike Tomlin and the Steelers as a home underdog has historically been a wise move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pittsburgh is 20-7-3 ATS in this spot since he took over as head coach, which is an extremely impressive record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-> Bet on Sunday Night Football<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

While this trend is worth mentioning, it’s not the main reason for this pick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rodgers has led the Steelers to a strong 4-2 record this season, and his teammates should be extra motivated to pick him up in a big spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pittsburgh also holds a rest advantage in this game. It played on Thursday Night Football last week, while Green Bay is playing its second road game in as many weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Packers have not looked good on the road, either, going a pedestrian 1-1-1 despite not playing a team with a winning record as a visitor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunday Night Football SGP picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rodgers over 1.5 touchdowns (-106):<\/strong> Few NFL players are more spiteful than Rodgers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I expect Rodgers to be in peak form against Green Bay, considering the split between him and the franchise was not amicable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rodgers isn’t lighting the league on fire this year, but he’s tied for fifth in passing touchdowns with 14 and has topped this number in four of six games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Green Bay has allowed a fair number of touchdowns to QBs. The Packers are tied for allowing the 10th-most pass touchdowns per game (1.7).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smith over 26.5 receiving yards (-118):<\/strong> Lastly, I’m betting on Smith having a solid receiving day for the Steelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tight end has only topped this mark once in 2025 despite averaging a respectable 4.3 targets per game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The matchup is right for him, however, in Week 8. The Packers are ceding the 11th-most receiving yards to tight ends this season (62.5).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, they’re allowing the most receptions per game to the position (8.3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smith likely remains involved on offence and should have a strong performance on Sunday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
