The Mariners will send out George Kirby to counter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/emmet_sheehan\/pitching-stats\">Emmet Sheehan<\/a> for Los Angeles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See why I like L.A. to win and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/shohei_ohtani\/batting-stats\">Shohei Ohtani<\/a> to do damage in my Dodgers vs. Mariners SGP <a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\">predictions<\/a> for Sept. 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dodgers vs. Mariners predictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Parlay: Dodgers ML | Ohtani over 1.5 total bases | Sheehan over 5.5 Ks (+420)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\">Dodgers ML (+114)<\/a>:<\/strong> This will be a hard sell against the Mariners, who are on a monumental heater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seattle has lost just once in the past 17 games and is now one game behind the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees for the top seed in the AL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But if there&#8217;s any team that&#8217;s capable of busting a streak, it&#8217;s the Dodgers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>They will start Sheehan tonight, and the 25-year-old is shaping into another stud in the rotation for L.A. More on him later.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Plus, the offence is still elite, scoring the second-most runs per game (5.1).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>On most nights, the Dodgers hold an advantage on offence and with pitching, so that always makes this an intriguing pick at <a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\">plus money<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kirby is no slouch, but he&#8217;s been a lot less consistent than Sheehan. Seattle&#8217;s starter is coming off a great outing (6.0 IP, no runs), but that&#8217;s an outlier compared to other recent performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Including that start, Kirby has a 5.50 ERA over his last seven games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:118381\">Embed: #118381<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/baseball\/mlb?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_mlb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Full MLB betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/mlb-injury-report?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=injury_reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/top-players\/hitting\/OPS-on-base_plus_slugging?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=stats_pages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB stats &amp; standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MLB SGP legs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\"><strong>Ohtani over 1.5 <\/strong>total bases (+104)<\/a>:<\/strong> I&#8217;m betting this as a <a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\">solo play<\/a> as well, but why not add it into the SGP to boost the value?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ohtani is a strong candidate to clear this mark every game. So when the matchup is right, I don&#8217;t hesitate to jump on board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And Ohtani has a good one here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In 18 career plate appearances vs. Kirby, Ohtani has six hits with only two strikeouts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One of those hits was a double, and another left the park for a home run.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The other good news is Kirby hardly hands out free passes (5.6% walk rate), which counters Ohtani&#8217;s 97th-percentile walk rate. There&#8217;s only been one walk in this matchup.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>That all goes before mentioning Ohtani&#8217;s power surge. He&#8217;s slugging .745 over the past 12 games, going 9-3 against this wager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\"><\/a><strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\"><strong>Sheehan over 5.5 Ks<\/strong> (-150)<\/a><\/strong><\/strong>:<\/strong> Now, let me finally focus on the Dodgers&#8217; advantage on the mound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sheehan comes into this game pitching lights out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>He has a 2.86 ERA in 72.1 innings this season and is getting better with time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Over his last six starts, he has a 1.93 ERA with an 11.9 K\/9.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sheehan has reached double-digit Ks twice and is 6-0 on this wager over that span.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mariners&#8217; offence is a wagon right now, but they can still be prone to striking out.
