The Milwaukee Brewers ace has cleared the prop I&#8217;m playing at a 100% rate since August, while the St. Louis Cardinals rookie has topped his number at an 89% clip over the same time period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-d0873b89-4dfa-47d6-9954-56140c451c77\">Check out how I&#8217;m betting on them in the best MLB prop bets for Sept. 22. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-22b3784f-32c2-400a-beef-1578a991be49\">MLB prop bets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/sports\/baseball\/competitions\/10065\"><strong>Full MLB betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/mlb-injury-report\"><strong>MLB injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/top-players\/hitting\/OPS-on-base_plus_slugging\"><strong>MLB player stats<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/standings\/division\"><strong>MLB standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-0c59b741-4781-48d8-8ffa-d93f8ee90c10\"><strong>Best bet:<strong> McGreevy over 16.5 outs (-130)<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Cardinals righty won\u2019t wow with swing-and-miss stuff, but getting to 17 outs doesn\u2019t require that.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>McGreevy isn\u2019t the flashiest arm, though his start at a top-tier pitching park against an ordinary offence makes him an attractive play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Low strikeout rates and excellent control have allowed him to keep his pitch counts in check and clear this line often despite reaching 100 pitches once in 14 starts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>McGreevy was roughed up for six runs and a season-high nine hits by the Giants earlier this month,&nbsp;but I&#8217;m looking right past that tonight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Giants are 20th in wRC+ this month and have been a below-average offence at their home stadium, Oracle Park, a dreadful venue for home runs and offence in general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-13bf476e-3f27-4d52-86f2-70dff07fd638\"><strong>Key stat<\/strong>: McGreevy has thrown six-plus innings in eight of his last nine starts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-ebade6eb-0e6a-4675-8cbc-3a4396c11ac4\">Best MLB picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Peralta over 5.5 Ks (-125)<\/strong>: The San Diego Padres are among the hardest teams in the majors to retire on strikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And Peralta only fanned three batters when he faced them in June. But he\u2019s on a sensational run right now:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Peralta has allowed one run or fewer in seven of eight starts since the beginning of August.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Over that stretch, he leads all starters in strikeout rate, punching out 35.5% of the batters he\u2019s faced.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Peralta has cleared this number in all eight of those outings and is 15-2 vs. this line since facing the Padres earlier this year.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>San Diego has the third-lowest K rate in the second half but Peralta has had challenging matchups over his dominant two-month stretch.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has faced several teams with bottom-10 second-half K rates and cleared this line against them.
