Stroud"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Houston Texans meet in the first of two Monday Night Football games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The pregame narrative:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nfl\/player-stats\/c_j_stroud\">C.J. Stroud<\/a> and the Texans make their home debut while looking for their first win of the season. On the other side, Tampa Bay aims to improve to 2-0 in the early goings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out my Buccaneers vs. Texans same-game parlay predictions for Week 2 below, featuring Stroud and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nfl\/player-stats\/mike_evans\">Mike Evans<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Buccaneers vs. Texans SGP predictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SGP: Texans ML | Stroud 225+ passing yards | Evans 60+ receiving yards (+300)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Texans ML <\/strong> (-148):<\/strong> Since Stroud arrived in Houston, the Texans have fared much better at home when he starts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Home:<\/strong> 11-5<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Away:<\/strong> 8-9<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>That unsurprisingly has a lot to do with the quarterback&#8217;s performance, but more on that later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Houston dealt with a load of injuries last season, but looks healthy this season, and this is the week I predict we see the offence at full force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This season, it&#8217;s the Bucs with the lengthier injury report as 11 players missed practice at some point this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mix in the travel, and there are some real advantages on the side of the Texans on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:117964\">Embed: #117964<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/american_football?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_nfl\">Full NFL markets<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nfl\/standingshttps:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nfl?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_nfl\">NFL player &amp; team stats<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/nfl-injury-report\"><strong>NFL injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Monday Night Football SGP picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong><strong>Stroud 225+ passing yards<\/strong><\/strong> (-127):<\/strong> Continuing with the narrative, Stroud has far better career stats at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Home:<\/strong> 27 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, 281.4 yards per game, 99.0 passer rating.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Away:<\/strong> 16 touchdowns, nine interceptions, 207.1 yards per game, 86.9 passer rating.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This is his third NFL season, so it&#8217;s been long enough that this is a noteworthy trend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tampa Bay allowed Michael Penix Jr. to throw for 298 yards last week, and he doesn&#8217;t have the arm talent Stroud does. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This should be a performance to remind everyone how dangerous Houston can be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stroud went 6-2 against this line at home last season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Evans 60+ receiving yards <\/strong>(-157):<\/strong> I still think the Bucs can do some damage in this game, and Evans is my top target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The wide receiver has been a model of consistency. He has 105-plus targets and 1,000-plus yards in each of his 11 NFL seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He fell short of this line in Week 1 with 51 yards, but his underlying stats were encouraging. Evans led Tampa Bay with eight targets and five receptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Baker Mayfield only completed 17 passes, though.
