Elsewhere, look for Stefon Diggs to score his first touchdown as a New England Patriot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check out my top Week 2 NFL TD picks, featuring a pick on Arizona Cardinals running back Trey Benson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-0a4ee124-09d4-4260-81c9-fd6fe232dbb3\">NFL TD picks: Week 2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/sports\/american_football\/competitions\/12295\/matches\"><strong>Full NFL markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nfl\/top-players\/passing-yards\"><strong>NFL player &amp; team stats<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/nfl-injury-report-news\"><strong>NFL injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nfl\/standings\"><strong>NFL standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-479767b6-5872-497b-ac44-239c07c7e3d5\"><strong>Best bet: Higgins anytime TD (+120)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cincinnati has been a notoriously slow team out of the gate in the Joe Burrow era and is lucky to be 1-0 right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bengals generated just seven net offensive yards in the second half against the Cleveland Browns in their opener and still managed to eke out a 17-16 win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here&#8217;s to hoping they&#8217;ve gotten the ugly out of their system, because we all know what Cincinnati&#8217;s offence is capable of when it&#8217;s on the same page. Check out how it stacked up last year:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>6th in PPG (27.8)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>7th in EPA per play (+0.108)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>9th in YPG (365.5)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Higgins is the Robin to Ja&#8217;Marr Chase&#8217;s Batman, but he&#8217;s arguably the better red zone target of the two. Standing at 6-foot-4, 220 pounds, he&#8217;s a matchup nightmare for most cornerbacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The wideout had 23 red zone targets last season \u2014 the third-most in the NFL \u2014 and turned that into seven touchdowns. Chase led the league with 33 targets and also had seven touchdowns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Burrow should get the offence cooking against a Jaguars secondary that got torched last season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key stat<\/strong>: Jacksonville allowed the third-most receiving yards to WRs and ranked last in defensive EPA per dropback, per RBSDM.com. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-fa134a48-a478-432b-95e0-66881f0d337b\">Best NFL touchdown bets<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Diggs anytime TD (+200): <\/strong>Diggs&#8217; best years are behind him, but the four-time Pro Bowler should have an outsized role in New England with Drake Maye under centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The veteran wideout hauled in six of seven targets for 57 yards in Week 1 in his first game back from an ACL injury. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, he gets to play against a Miami Dolphins squad that was just lit up by Daniel Jones, of all people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jones threw for 272 yards in his Indianapolis Colts debut in a 33-8 rout of the Phins. If he can do that, I expect Maye to have a solid game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sophomore QB attempted 46 passes in New England&#8217;s Week 1 loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Benson anytime TD (+200):<\/strong> This is solid value for a running back in a timeshare against an awful defence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Benson wasn&#8217;t called upon much in his 2024 rookie season, toting the ball 63 times for 291 yards (4.6 YPC) and a touchdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But things looked a little different in Week 1 against the New Orleans Saints. Benson had eight carries for 69 yards, while RB1 James Conner had 12 carries for 39 yards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two split red zone carries 2-to-2, an encouraging sign, though neither found the end zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Cards take on a Carolina Panthers team that gave up the most rushing yards and touchdowns to RBs last season. In Week 1, the Jacksonville Jaguars rumbled for 200 rushing yards at 6.3 YPC against Carolina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>NFL TD picks made at 8:07 a.m. ET on 09\/12\/2025<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A pair of big-name receivers headline this week&#8217;s NFL touchdown picks.
