Elsewhere, look for Justin Fields to back up his stellar New York Jets debut with another strong performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out our NFL Week 2 staff best bets for our favourite picks this weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NFL Week 2 best bets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>These NFL Week 2 best bets were provided by NorthStar Bets writers Avery Perri, Spencer Closs and Jordan Horrobin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/sports\/american_football\/competitions\/12295\/matches\"><strong>Full NFL markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nfl\/top-players\/passing-yards\"><strong>NFL player &amp; team stats<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/nfl-injury-report-news\"><strong>NFL injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nfl\/standings\"><strong>NFL standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ATS picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cowboys -5 (-110)<\/strong>: The New York Giants didn&#8217;t show much promise in Week 1, losing 21-6 against the Washington Commanders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Russell Wilson completed less than 50% of his passes for 168 yards, and the running backs combined for a measly 30 yards on 10 rushes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Cowboys, on the other hand, were competitive against the Philadelphia Eagles and had a legit chance to win on the road. Now, Dallas gets a worse opponent at home, where Dak Prescott is 43-18 in his career. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>-Closs<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eagles -1 (-110):<\/strong> I get that it&#8217;s a road game for the Eagles, but I really don&#8217;t think the reigning champions should have this tight of a line in the Super Bowl rematch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Philadelphia steamrolled the Kansas City Chiefs in February, scoring the first 34 points of a 40-22 victory. Week 1 wasn&#8217;t a great showing for the Eagles, but they still came away with a divisional win. The Chiefs, meanwhile, fell to the Chargers as 3-point favourites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Eagles are largely the same team as last year, they have an extra day of rest, and they&#8217;re facing a Chiefs offence that could be missing Xavier Worthy (in addition to the suspended Rashee Rice).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>-Horrobin<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bengals -3.5 (-106):<\/strong> Burrow has never won a game in Week 2, and Cincinnati looked awful in its opener. But I\u2019m betting on his larger body of work and expect an end to this bizarre trend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bengals were top-10 in total offence, scoring offence, and offensive EPA per play last year, according to RBSDM.com. Jacksonville, meanwhile, ranked last in defensive EPA per pass and went 4-13 with zero wins against playoff teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m not putting any stock into Jacksonville&#8217;s win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 1. Cincinnati is the far better team and should roll.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>-Perri<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Best moneyline bet<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Broncos ML (-120):<\/strong> I&#8217;m not interested in overreacting to Week 1, so Daniel Jones and the Indianapolis Colts will have to do more than beat up on the Miami Dolphins to impress me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Denver was a top-10 scoring team on both sides of the ball in Bo Nix&#8217;s rookie year, and the team is expected to be a feisty playoff-calibre squad again. The Broncos are 9-0 SU as favourites since the start of last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nix threw three interceptions in a Week 15 matchup vs. the Colts last year, but the Broncos still emerged with a 31-13 victory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>-Horrobin<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NFL Week 2 best bets: Player props<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Javonte Williams over 55.5 rushing yards (-118):<\/strong> Dallas used Williams early and often against Philadelphia in Week 1, as the newly-acquired running back turned 15 rushes into 54 yards and two TDs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Was it the most efficient performance? No, but Philly owns one of the best run defences in football, and the same can&#8217;t be said for New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Giants allowed the sixth-most rushing yards per game last season and ceded 220 at 6.9 YPC to the Washington Commanders in Week 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No other Cowboys RB had more than four carries in the opener, so I expect Williams to have a healthy workload. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>-Perri<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fields over 44.5 rushing yards (-118):<\/strong> Fields looked electric in his New York Jets debut, throwing efficiently while rushing for 48 yards and two touchdowns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Jets have the game script to hurt the Buffalo Bills&#8217; defence, courtesy of the Baltimore Ravens last week: A heavy dose of RPOs with Breece Hall and Fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m not saying that duo is Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson, but it&#8217;s not so far off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Buffalo gave up 238 rushing yards in Week 1 \u2014 70 to Jackson \u2014 and got gashed by Patrick Mahomes for 43 rushing yards in last year&#8217;s AFC championship game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bills&#8217; run defence is sieve-like, and Fields has the speed to clear this on a few chunk plays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>-Perri<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>NFL Week 2 best bets made at 1 p.m. ET on 09\/11\/2025.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our staff&#8217;s Week 2 best bet recommendations feature three ATS picks, one moneyline wager, and two player props.
