Elsewhere, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/kyle_bradish\/pitching-stats\">Kyle Bradish<\/a> looks to build off an excellent season debut in which he racked up a bunch of strikeouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-d0873b89-4dfa-47d6-9954-56140c451c77\">Check out my top MLB prop bets for Sept. 1, featuring a prediction on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/carlos_correa\/batting-stats\">Carlos Correa<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-22b3784f-32c2-400a-beef-1578a991be49\">MLB prop bets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-0c59b741-4781-48d8-8ffa-d93f8ee90c10\"><strong>Best bet: Bradish over 4.5 Ks (-103)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s been a nightmarish season for the Orioles, but a nice end-of-season run from Bradish would at least get the offseason started right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bradish made his season debut on Aug. 26 after a lengthy recovery from Tommy John surgery. It was his first start since June 14, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The right-hander tossed 6.0 strong innings, allowing two runs on four hits over 81 pitchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oh, and the headliner? He had 10 strikeouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For a guy making his first MLB start in 14-plus months, a 10 K outing really stands out. He only needs half of that production on Monday night to cash this prop bet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bradish is facing the San Diego Padres, who are admittedly a tough team to strike out. They have the third-lowest strikeout rate in the majors (18.7%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This just isn&#8217;t a hefty line for the average starting pitcher, and after Bradish&#8217;s explosive season debut, I think it should be well within reach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Against the Red Sox last week, Bradish had a superb 43.2% whiff rate (16 whiffs on 37 swings).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-13bf476e-3f27-4d52-86f2-70dff07fd638\"><strong>Key stat<\/strong>: Bradish, who was the fourth-place AL Cy Young finisher in his most recent full season (2023), has a career 9.3 K\/9 rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:117403\">Embed: #117403<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-10146156-2d6b-49a8-b097-37743fd550b5\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/baseball\/mlb?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_mlb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Full MLB betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/mlb-injury-report?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=injury_reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/top-players\/hitting\/OPS-on-base_plus_slugging?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=stats_pages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB stats &amp; standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-ebade6eb-0e6a-4675-8cbc-3a4396c11ac4\">Best MLB picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Lowe over 1.5 total bases (+112)<\/strong>:<\/strong> There&#8217;s a notable platoon advantage that I&#8217;m happy to tap into with this pick, as the left-hitting Lowe faces Seattle right-hander Luis Castillo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lowe vs. RHPs (2025):<\/strong> .290\/.349\/.557 slash line<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Castillo vs. LHBs (2025):<\/strong> .289\/.363\/.491 slash line<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Lowe has hit 24 of his 28 homers off righties, while Castillo&#8217;s opponent SLG jumps 131 points when a left-hitting player digs into the box. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These guys matched up three weeks ago, and Lowe greeted Castillo with a solo home run in the top of the first inning. All told, Lowe is 3-for-8 with two extra-base hits vs. Castillo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>August was a brutal month for Castillo, as he allowed 18 runs on 33 hits (6.66 ERA) over five starts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Correa over 0.5 RBI (+155): <\/strong>Correa has recorded an RBI in four of nine games as the Astros&#8217; cleanup man, and he&#8217;ll be back in that spot this afternoon against the Los Angeles Angels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a white-hot start in his return to Houston at the start of August, Correa cooled a bit over the back half. Still, there&#8217;s a lot to like here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Correa is 13-for-25 (.520) with a triple and two doubles vs. Angels starter Yusei Kikuchi.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Houston has a ton of experience \u2014 and success \u2014 against Kikuchi. The lineup as a whole is batting .288 with a .562 SLG in 146 at-bats. More traffic on the basepaths would mean more RBI opportunities for Correa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Kikuchi is coming off his worst start of the year (six earned runs over 4.0 innings).
