Elsewhere, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/freddie_freeman\/batting-stats\">Freddie Freeman<\/a> has a plus matchup to take advantage of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-d0873b89-4dfa-47d6-9954-56140c451c77\">Check out my top MLB prop bets for Aug. 24, featuring a fade on Cincinnati Reds&#8217; starter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/brady_singer\/pitching-stats\">Brady Singer<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-22b3784f-32c2-400a-beef-1578a991be49\">MLB prop bets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-0c59b741-4781-48d8-8ffa-d93f8ee90c10\"><strong>Best bet: Lopez over 17.5 outs (-121)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lopez is shaping into a true ace for the A&#8217;s. His 3.28 ERA ranks 11th in the AL among pitchers with 90 or more innings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And he&#8217;s been on an extreme heater over his last five starts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>0.60 ERA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>36 Ks and only seven walks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No runs allowed in four of five<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>No one on the Mariners has faced Lopez before and I believe that works in his favour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His 29.1% K rate is in the 88th percentile, demonstrating his nasty stuff. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mariners strike out the third most per game (9.00), so it wouldn&#8217;t surprise me if the offence is swinging early and often.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They also hit LHPs worse than RHPs, owning a poor .233 BA and .299 OBP vs. lefties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-13bf476e-3f27-4d52-86f2-70dff07fd638\"><strong>Key stat<\/strong>: Lopez has breezed past this line in his last three starts, working at least six innings in each while working seven or more twice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:117216\">Embed: #117216<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-10146156-2d6b-49a8-b097-37743fd550b5\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/baseball\/mlb?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_mlb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Full MLB betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/mlb-injury-report?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=injury_reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/top-players\/hitting\/OPS-on-base_plus_slugging?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=stats_pages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB stats &amp; standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-ebade6eb-0e6a-4675-8cbc-3a4396c11ac4\">Best MLB picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Freeman over 1.5 total bases (+110)<\/strong>: The Dodgers&#8217; first baseman went hitless on Saturday, but take a look at his stats from the seven games before:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>.357 BA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1.098 OPS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Five of his 10 hits went for extra bases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, he has great stats in his past matchups with San Diego Padres&#8217; starter Nick Pivetta. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has a .385 average in 38 at-bats with only four Ks and three walks. Six of his 15 hits off Pivetta have gone for extra bases (two home runs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At plus money, there isn&#8217;t really much to think about here when considering Freeman&#8217;s hot stick and his success against Pivetta in the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Singer under 17.5 outs (-122)<\/strong>: Singer has been pretty good lately, but he struggles with consistency and his matchup with the Arizona Diamondbacks concerns me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The righty has cleared this mark in four of his past six starts, but the two outliers were shocking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3.2 IP, four earned runs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2.1 IP, seven earned runs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Two of Arizona&#8217;s top hitters, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and Corbin Carroll, are a combined 6-for-11 off of Singer and star slugger Ketel Marte has a .886 OPS over his last 10 games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even when Singer has been efficient against the Diamondbacks, he hasn&#8217;t had success against this line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his one start against Arizona this year, Singer worked 5.0 innings (17 outs), allowing two earned runs, five hits and three walks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-571cf986-8d14-4776-b519-20fa27d04fec\"><em>MLB prop picks made at 10:52 a.m. ET on 08\/24\/2025<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jacob Lopez has been a bright spot for the Athletics, and he headlines today&#8217;s MLB prop bets.
