After that, he gets Atlanta\u2019s sputtering bullpen.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has a prime opportunity to feast and is a hammer play at plus money.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you look beyond a small one-week sample, Stowers has been on a tear anyway you slice it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>2025 season:<\/strong> .935 OPS (career-high)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Last 30 days:<\/strong> 1.207 OPS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Last 15 days:<\/strong> .921 OPS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>vs. RHPs:<\/strong> .993 OPS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>He\u2019s coming off a monster July, batting .364, slugging .818 and smashing 10 bombs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carrasco is making his second start for the Braves, and he impressively turned in a quality start at hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But I\u2019m not swayed by that. The 38-year-old had an ERA north of 6.00 over 41 starts the previous two seasons.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carrasco struggled in limited time with the New York Yankees before joining Atlanta and enters tonight\u2019s start in the bottom 20th percentile in K rate, barrel rate and fastball velocity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Atlanta\u2019s bullpen has a 6.72 ERA in the second half with an 8.0 K-BB%. Only the Colorado Rockies have been worse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-13bf476e-3f27-4d52-86f2-70dff07fd638\"><strong>Key stat<\/strong>: Stowers is 12-8 vs. this line over his past 20 games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-10146156-2d6b-49a8-b097-37743fd550b5\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/baseball\/mlb?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_mlb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Full MLB betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/mlb-injury-report?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=injury_reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/top-players\/hitting\/OPS-on-base_plus_slugging?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=stats_pages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB stats &amp; standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-ebade6eb-0e6a-4675-8cbc-3a4396c11ac4\">Best MLB picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Edwards over 0.5 runs (-108)<\/strong>: The Marlins\u2019 offence is not littered with household names, but the lineup has produced.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The club has above-average marks in wRC+ in the second half (108) and vs. right-handed pitching (104) this season.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Miami is just outside the top 10 in homers and on-base percentage post-ASG, while ranking eighth in ISO.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This team isn\u2019t a pushover and, in fact, is comfortably ahead of Atlanta in the NL East.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Edwards is the club\u2019s leadoff man and is pacing the team in hits, while ranking second to Stowers in runs and OBP.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 25-year-old (batting .298\/.361\/.369) has really picked things up since June.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He\u2019s got a .326\/.382\/.430 slash line over 54 games since then, scoring 36 times. That\u2019s good for a 108-run pace over 162 games.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For context, only nine players topped that number last season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Naylor over 0.5 RBI (+155)<\/strong>: I love Naylor&#8217;s spot in the Seattle Mariners&#8217; revamped lineup, batting cleanup behind Randy Arozarena, Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodriguez. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The slugging first baseman is going to have a lot of opportunities to cash in and today&#8217;s matchup looks like a strong one for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seattle faces Shane Smith and the Chicago White Sox. The rookie right-hander has hit a wall after posting a 2.68 ERA through 11 starts going into June. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since then, he&#8217;s produced a 6.88 ERA in eight outings, allowing five-plus runs on four occasions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Naylor is having a big start to the month, sporting a 1.011 OPS in August.
