That doesn&#8217;t wash away a season&#8217;s worth of quality stuff, though.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gilbert ranks in the 94th percentile in both xERA (2.72) and xBA (.202), per Baseball Savant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Among 138 pitchers with 70+ innings, Gilbert has the eighth-lowest FIP (2.75).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>On the flip side, Chicago&#8217;s Shane Smith has been going through a really rough stretch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his past six outings, Smith has a 9.93 ERA with 43 baserunners in just 22.2 IP. The White Sox are 1-4-1 on the F5 moneyline in that span.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:117110\">Embed: #117110<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-10146156-2d6b-49a8-b097-37743fd550b5\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/baseball\/mlb?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_mlb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Full MLB betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/mlb-injury-report?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=injury_reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/top-players\/hitting\/OPS-on-base_plus_slugging?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=stats_pages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB stats &amp; standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MLB SGP legs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\"><strong><strong><strong><strong>Naylor over 1.5 total bases<\/strong><\/strong> <\/strong><\/strong>(+132)<\/a>: <\/strong>If you&#8217;re looking for another way to fade Smith, I think backing Naylor is a good way to do it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mississauga, Ontario native has put up strong numbers against right-handed pitchers for years, posting an OPS of .800 or better in every season since 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, the left-hitting Naylor has a .293\/.376\/.467 slash line vs. RHPs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Naylor&#8217;s .287 xBA ranks in the 89th percentile, and he&#8217;s flashed some power recently with home runs in back-to-back games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 12 games since joining the Mariners on July 25, Naylor is slugging .500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\"><strong><strong><strong>Sosa over 0.5 hits<\/strong><\/strong> (-182)<\/strong>:<\/a><\/strong> If I&#8217;m going to back any hitter against Gilbert, I want it to be someone who bats from the left side and is in a groove.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sosa, who&#8217;s on a nine-game hitting streak, fits the bill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 25-year-old infielder is 14-for-32 (.438) during the streak with more home runs (four) than strikeouts (three).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sosa is a certified free swinger, posting a whopping 41.9% chase rate (third percentile) while walking just 3.6% of the time (second percentile). When he digs into the box, he&#8217;s up there to hit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Erratic swing decisions aside, Sosa is a solid hitter.
