He&#8217;ll get the start in the first game of the series opposite Tanner Gordon for Colorado. At Coors Field, the ball is expected to fly, and that is reflected in the 12-run total for tonight&#8217;s matchup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out my Blue Jays vs. Rockies same-game parlay predictions for Aug. 4, featuring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/vladimir_guerrero_jr\/batting-stats\">Vladimir Guerrero Jr.<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/bo_bichette\/batting-stats\">Bo Bichette<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blue Jays vs. Rockies predictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Parlay: Guerrero over 1.5 bases | Bichette over 1.5 bases | Lauer over 4.5 Ks (+400)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>Guerrero over 1.5 bases<\/strong><\/strong> (-167)<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>:<\/strong> Guerrero is hitless in back-to-back games with just one walk. But his struggles came against the Kansas City Royals, who own the second-lowest ERA as a team (3.53).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other end of the rankings are the Rockies, who have the worst ERA in baseball (5.78).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of that can be attributed to Coors Field, where Monday&#8217;s game will be played.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That brings me to Colorado&#8217;s starter, Gordon. He&#8217;s coming off a terrible start in which he allowed six earned runs on eight hits in 3.0 innings of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has a 4.85 ERA and 1.54 WHIP across 26.0 IP this season, giving up almost as many earned runs (14) as he has strikeouts (15).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, he gets crushed by batters hitting from the right side. In 53 plate appearances vs. RHBs this season, Gordon has allowed a .367 average and 28 total bases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:116605\">Embed: #116605<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/baseball\/mlb?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_mlb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Full MLB betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/mlb-injury-report?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=injury_reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/top-players\/hitting\/OPS-on-base_plus_slugging?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=stats_pages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB stats &amp; standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MLB SGP legs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>Bichette over 1.5 bases<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong> <strong><strong>(-180)<\/strong>:<\/strong> A lot of what I just said for Guerrero also applies to Bichette, but I want to give the shortstop his shine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Since the all-star break, Bichette is slashing .375\/.415\/.528.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>He&#8217;s 10-7 against this wager during that time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bichette also hits righties better than lefties. He has a .300 BA vs. RHPs this season.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This line is a bit crazy for a total bases prop, but the Rockies are a bad team with an inexperienced starter playing at MLB&#8217;s most hitter-friendly park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And if Gordon gets chased early, Colorado has the third-worst bullpen ERA in baseball (5.20). What&#8217;s not to like?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong><strong><strong>Lauer over 4.5 Ks<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong> <strong>(+105):<\/strong> This line simply makes no sense to me, so I&#8217;ll gladly tack this pick onto the SGP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Toronto&#8217;s starter is an above-average strikeout arm with a 75th-percentile K rate (25.9%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Rockies strike out the second most per game in MLB (9.60).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lauer has cleared this line in 6 of his last 8 starts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The righty has become a staple in Toronto&#8217;s rotation, often working deep into games with a 9.1 K\/9 this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There&#8217;s really no need to overthink this one, as everything points to a good performance from Lauer vs. a struggling offence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Blue Jays vs. Rockies predictions made at 9:35 a.m. ET on 08\/04\/2025<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Toronto Blue Jays head to the Mile High City for a three-game set with the Colorado Rockies.
