This matchup is a pick&#8217;em with Marcus Stroman pitching for the Yanks and Ryan Pepiot going for the Rays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check out my Rays vs. Yankees <a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\">predictions<\/a>, featuring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/josh_lowe\/batting-stats\">Josh Lowe<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/giancarlo_stanton\/batting-stats\">Giancarlo Stanton<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rays vs. Yankees predictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Parlay: Rays F5 +0.5 | Lowe over 0.5 hits | Stanton over 0.5 hits (+290)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\">Rays F5 +0.5 (-165)<\/a>:<\/strong> Stroman is well past his prime, and he seldom gives the Yankees chances to win ballgames.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The righty has a 6.09 ERA, a 1.59 WHIP and some unsightly batted ball metrics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>5th-percentile xERA (5.55)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>14th-percentile xBA (.280)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>16th-percentile barrel rate (10.5%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4th-percentile hard-hit rate (49.1%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stroman also has a fourth-percentile K rate (14.9%) and has gotten lit up by this Rays lineup in the past, ceding a .309 batting average in 60 plate appearances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pepiot, meanwhile, has been on a roll with a 3.60 ERA this month and four quality starts in five games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He has held this Aaron Judge-less Yankees lineup to a .186 batting average in 63 plate appearances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"cacheembed:116452\">Embed: #116452<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-10146156-2d6b-49a8-b097-37743fd550b5\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/baseball\/mlb?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_mlb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Full MLB betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/mlb-injury-report?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=injury_reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/top-players\/hitting\/OPS-on-base_plus_slugging?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=stats_pages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB stats &amp; standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MLB SGP legs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\"><strong><strong><strong>Lowe over 0.5 hits<\/strong> <\/strong><\/strong>(-250)<\/a>: <\/strong>Stroman&#8217;s biggest problems come against left-hitting batters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The 34-year-old is ceding an ugly .298\/.366\/.560 slash line against LHHs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lowe is batting .251 against RHPs and .222 against LHPs this year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Rays&#8217; right fielder is 3-for-10 vs. Stroman with a .371 xBA in those at-bats.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lowe is also on a nice little run, batting .320 in his last seven games. He has a knock in six of those matchups, including all three games in this series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\"><strong><strong>Stanton over 0.5 hits<\/strong><\/strong> (-139)<\/a><\/strong>:<\/strong> I would recommend playing this as a standalone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stanton has been on a roll coming out of the all-star break, batting .333\/.389\/.636 in nine games.
