The Toronto Argonauts will be in that situation yet again against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Injury concerns for the Saskatchewan Roughriders&#8217; offence make the under vs. the Edmonton Elks a worthy bet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out this CFL Week 8 parlay, featuring a pick on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs. BC Lions game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CFL Week 8 parlay picks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Parlay: Elks\/Roughriders under 54.5 points + Blue Bombers -5 + Tiger-Cats +3.5 (+522)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Elks\/Roughriders under 54.5 points (-117):<\/strong> Saskatchewan&#8217;s offensive line is in a tough spot entering Week 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team is down to its third left tackle and backup right guard because of injuries to Payton Collins, Daniel Johnson and Zack Fry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The offence has been inconsistent over the last couple of weeks, following up a 10-point output against the Calgary Stampeders with a 33-point effort against the BC Lions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A smaller-than-usual output could certainly put the under in play, especially against a struggling Edmonton offence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Elks rank among the league&#8217;s worst in the following categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>7th in points\/game (23.6)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>7th in yards\/play (6.28)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>9th in passing yards\/game (218.2)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Edmonton leads the league in yards per rush (5.8) but will likely find little room to run against the league&#8217;s second-best rush defence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Roughriders are ceding just 4.8 yards per carry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/american_football\/cfl?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_cfl\">Full CFL betting markets<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other parlay picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Blue Bombers -5 (-110):<\/strong> Toronto&#8217;s offence is sputtering, and it has very little to do with Chad Kelly&#8217;s absence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Argonauts have demonstrated a complete inability to run the football. They&#8217;re averaging a league-low 46.7 rushing yards per game and 3.7 yards per carry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s unlikely they&#8217;ll turn it around against a Winnipeg defence tied for allowing the third-fewest yards per carry this year (5.0).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Blue Bombers should be able to lean on their greatest strength in this contest. Their offence is averaging the second-most rush yards per game (123.8) and staring down a juicy matchup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toronto allows the third-most yards per carry in the CFL (5.3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winnipeg has covered this spread in four of its five games this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tiger-Cats +3.5 (-134):<\/strong> I&#8217;m a little surprised to see the Hamilton Tiger-Cats enter this contest as underdogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hamilton is a runaway train. The team ranks first in points per game (31.3) and yards per throw (8.3) thanks to a spectacular start from Bo Levi Mitchell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mitchell leads the league with 1,812 passing yards and pairs that with a sterling 12:2 touchdowns-to-interceptions ratio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BC Lions (3-4), meanwhile, have a losing record and a negative point differential (-16). I struggle to see how BC will be able to keep pace with Hamilton, as the Lions rank eighth in points per game this year (23.3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tiger-Cats have covered this spread in four of their six games.
