Minnesota starts sophomore David Festa, who has struggled since his callup in June. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check out my <a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\">Twins vs. Dodgers predictions<\/a>, featuring Ohtani and Carlos Correa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Twins vs. Dodgers predictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Parlay: Dodgers F5 -0.5 | Ohtani under 4.5 strikeouts | Correa over 0.5 hits (+330)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\"><strong>Dodgers F5 -0.5 <\/strong>(-121)<\/a>:<\/strong> I wish the Dodgers had five full innings of Ohtani, but we probably wouldn&#8217;t be getting this price if that was the case. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two-way superstar has dazzled on the mound in limited action this year, allowing just one run and five hits over 9.0 IP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most recently, he struck out four San Francisco Giants over three shutout innings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I don&#8217;t think Minnesota will get anything going against Ohtani, who has a 2.97 career ERA and is touching 100 mph on his fastball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dustin May is slated to get the ball to start the fourth, and that could be a problem. The righty has a 4.96 ERA and is battling command issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But Minnesota&#8217;s Festa is even less reliable, sporting a 6.69 ERA and 5.09 FIP across seven starts since his call-up in June. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I expect the Dodgers to bank a sizeable lead through the first five innings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"cacheembed:116118\">Embed: #116118<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-10146156-2d6b-49a8-b097-37743fd550b5\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/baseball\/mlb?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_mlb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Full MLB betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/mlb-injury-report?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=injury_reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/top-players\/hitting\/OPS-on-base_plus_slugging?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=stats_pages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB stats &amp; standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MLB SGP legs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\">Ohtani under 4.5 Ks (-278)<\/a>:<\/strong> I don&#8217;t think this is getting too cheeky in the slightest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ohtani has logged 10 Ks in 9.0 innings so far and will need to put together a monster performance to clear this line with his pitch count.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Twins have a middle-of-the-pack K rate and only struck out at a 16.9% clip in their weekend series against the Colorado Rockies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ohtani has held Minnesota&#8217;s lineup to a .170 batting average but hasn&#8217;t put it down on strikes at a crazy high rate, either. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Twins have a 17.9% K rate against him in 56 plate appearances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\">Correa over 0.5 hits (-180)<\/a><\/strong>:<\/strong> Adding Correa to this wager increases the parlay&#8217;s payout from +155 to +330, which is well worth it in my opinion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The veteran shortstop has been on fire over the last 30 days, batting .333 with a hit in 16 of 22 appearances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He&#8217;s also batting exactly .333 vs. RHP in that span, so I&#8217;m not worried about a platoon disadvantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even if Ohtani can keep him quiet once through the order, I like his chances of getting after May and L.A.&#8217;s bullpen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Twins vs. Dodgers predictions made at 12:00 p.m. ET on 07\/21\/2025<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"thestar wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Looking to get started? <a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNzQxMyZsPTEzNTI3NDExJnA9MjMyNDM%3D\">Sign up here<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Shohei Ohtani toes the rubber on Monday when the Los Angeles Dodgers host the Minnesota Twins.
