His 2.75 ERA ranks 14th in MLB, but he struggled in his one start against the Houston Astros this season, at least by his standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Woo gave up a season-high 10 hits in that game vs. Houston.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>He limited the damage, allowing just two runs, but that damage control will often lead to a high pitch count.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Woo went six innings (18 outs) on 93 pitches thrown.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The righty is coming off a strong outing against the New York Yankees, going 7.1 innings while allowing two runs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But he threw over 100 pitches in that start and could be on a shorter leash if a less-dominant outing is pending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-13bf476e-3f27-4d52-86f2-70dff07fd638\"><strong>Key stat:<\/strong> Woo has gone under this mark in 10 of his 18 starts this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-ebade6eb-0e6a-4675-8cbc-3a4396c11ac4\">Best MLB picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Suarez over 1.5 bases (+100)<\/strong>: The slugging third baseman has been excellent in the two games since the all-star break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has three hits in six at-bats, with two of those leaving the park for home runs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, he&#8217;s having a great season, sitting tied with Shohei Ohtani for the third most HRs in the majors (33).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Suarez is posting the second-best OPS of his career (.911) with a 95th-percentile batting run value (+25).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On top of all that, he has a juicy matchup to take advantage of on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Suarez is 7-for-17 (.412) off Miles Mikolas in his career with a .824 SLG. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mikolas (4.94 ERA) is having a poor season and should fall victim to Suarez&#8217;s power when they meet this afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-310bddf4-d3c1-4fc6-8fe4-37281455da02\"><strong>Contreras over 1.5 bases (+125)<\/strong>: The hard-hitting catcher has a nice matchup on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>He&#8217;s 5-for-10 off Kershaw with two doubles and a home run.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>That equals a huge 1.000 SLG in those at-bats.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contreras has a .308 career average against LHP vs. a .258 career average against RHP.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Plus, he&#8217;s in the middle of a power surge.
