But after a pair of losses to the Boston Red Sox this week, combined with a pair of wins by the New York Yankees, the Jays&#8217; divisional lead has vanished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out our Blue Jays AL East odds as of Sept. 25, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"world-series-odds\">Blue Jays AL East odds<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: Updated odds that reflect Wednesday&#8217;s results are unavailable as of Thursday morning.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:115644\">Embed: #115644<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m sure Jays fans would prefer a less stressful end to the season, but this is what it&#8217;s all about, right? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toronto has already well exceeded its preseason win projection and remains in a strong spot to lock up the division despite its recent 1-6 speed bump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Jays hold head-to-head tiebreakers over both the Yankees and Red Sox. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>FanGraphs gives Toronto a 54.1% chance of winning the AL East entering play on Sept. 25.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>With four games to play, Toronto still controls its own destiny for the AL East crown.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Toronto&#8217;s final stretch includes one game against both the Boston Red Sox and three against the Tampa Bay Rays, with the former still <em>technically <\/em>having a chance to win the division (0.1% chance, per FanGraphs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Jays are 7-5 against Boston this year and are slated to start Louis Varland in Thursday&#8217;s series finale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New York, meanwhile, has one more game against the dreadful Chicago White Sox, followed by three games against the Baltimore Orioles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Yankees recently took three of four from the O&#8217;s at Camden Yards (Sept. 18-21), and the White Sox have an AL-worst 58 wins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toronto is still in pole position, but its margin of error is gone now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/baseball\/mlb?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_mlb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Full MLB betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/mlb-injury-report?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=injury_reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/top-players\/hitting\/OPS-on-base_plus_slugging?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=stats_pages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB stats &amp; standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Toronto Blue Jays are now in a dog fight to win the AL East with four games to play.
