Both pitchers are on a roll, and that game has is tied for the lowest total (7.5 runs) of the night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-d0873b89-4dfa-47d6-9954-56140c451c77\">Check out my top MLB prop bets for July 7, featuring Kikuchi, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/elly_de_la_cruz\/batting-stats\">Elly De La Cruz<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/gavin_sheets\/batting-stats\">Gavin Sheets<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-22b3784f-32c2-400a-beef-1578a991be49\">MLB prop bets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-0c59b741-4781-48d8-8ffa-d93f8ee90c10\"><strong>Best bet: Kikuchi over 17.5 outs (-137)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kikuchi has put a rough start to the season behind him and is on a tear heading into the All-Star break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check out the southpaw&#8217;s stats since the start of May:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2.15 ERA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1.27 WHIP<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>.234 OBA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kikuchi&#8217;s biggest problem has been walking batters \u2014 his 10.6% BB rate ranks in the 17th percentile \u2014 which impacts his ability to work deep into ball games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But it looks like he has re-gained some control over his last five starts, issuing just six walks in 32.2 IP (5% BB rate). In that span, Kikuchi has gone 3-2 against this line while landing on exactly 17 outs in the outliers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Texas&#8217; current lineup is sputtering, especially against southpaws. The Rangers rank bottom five in batting average, wRC+ and ISO vs. LHP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kikuchi has also had lots of success against the Rangers, holding this lineup to a .204 batting average in 111 plate appearances. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-13bf476e-3f27-4d52-86f2-70dff07fd638\"><strong>Key stat:<\/strong> Kikuchi has pitched into the sixth inning in 10 of his last 11 starts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-10146156-2d6b-49a8-b097-37743fd550b5\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/baseball\/mlb?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_mlb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Full MLB betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/mlb-injury-report?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=injury_reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/top-players\/hitting\/OPS-on-base_plus_slugging?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=stats_pages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB stats &amp; standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-ebade6eb-0e6a-4675-8cbc-3a4396c11ac4\">Best MLB picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>De La Cruz over 1.5 bases (-105)<\/strong>: When De La Cruz gets into a groove, watch out. The Cincinnati Reds&#8217; superstar is slashing .339\/.369\/.516 over his last 15 games with four extra-base hits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He&#8217;s not really hitting for power, but that&#8217;s bound to change soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De La Cruz ranks in the 77th percentile or higher for xSLG, barrel rate, and average exit velocity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tonight, he goes up against reliever-turned-starter Janson Junk, who has a 4.91 ERA since being moved into the Miami Marlins&#8217; rotation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Junk&#8217;s .299 xBA and 50.9% hard-hit rate both rank in the bottom-fifth percentile. I expect De La Cruz, who has a platoon advantage, to make him pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sheets to record an RBI (+190)<\/strong>: I backed Sheets to record an RBI last Friday and Saturday, and he failed to do so, despite going 3-for-8 in those games \u2014 the third time&#8217;s a charm, right? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The left-hitting Sheets is batting fifth in a stacked San Diego Padres lineup behind Fernando Tatis Jr., Jackson Merrill, Manny Machado and Luis Arraez. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tonight, the Padres host the Arizona Diamondbacks and Zac Gallen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gallen has been a disaster this season, posting career-worst numbers in several major categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ERA (5.45)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>WHIP (1.37)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>OBA (.249)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>K\/9 (8.5)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">San Diego&#8217;s lineup has a ton of experience against Gallen, batting .250 against him in 136 at-bats.
