Washington is a slight road underdog after winning 15-9 in L.A. last night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out my Nationals vs. Angels <a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\">predictions<\/a>, with a +275 parlay featuring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/cj_abrams\/batting-stats\">CJ Abrams<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/josh_bell\/batting-stats\">Josh Bell<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nationals vs. Angels predictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Parlay: Soroka over 5.5 Ks | Abrams 1+ hits | Bell under 1.5 bases (+275)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\">Soroka over 5.5 strikeouts (-148)<\/a>:<\/strong> Soroka doesn&#8217;t have the nastiest stuff out there, but he&#8217;s trending up ahead of what should be a very promising matchup in the strikeout department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In four starts this month, he has 31 Ks and has cashed this bet three times (he had five Ks in the one start that went under).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Angels have the second-highest K rate in the majors (26.6%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Calgary native just set a career high with 10 strikeouts last time out \u2014 after matching his previous career high in Ks, with nine, in his previous start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In what has been an injury-plagued career, it&#8217;s nice to see Soroka find some solid ground. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His 5.06 ERA is nothing to write home about, but he&#8217;s at least giving the Nationals some length. Dating back to mid-May, he has worked into (or through) the sixth inning in seven straight outings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:115316\">Embed: #115316<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"insights\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/baseball\/mlb?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_mlb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Full MLB betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/mlb-injury-report?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=injury_reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"insights\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/top-players\/hitting\/OPS-on-base_plus_slugging?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=stats_pages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB stats &amp; standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MLB SGP legs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\">Abrams 1+ hits (-295)<\/a>:<\/strong> Coming off a three-hit night in the series opener, this is understandably the lightest ask of my SGP legs on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Abrams has 1+ hits in 46 of 68 (67.6%) starts this season.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Over his past 17 games, he&#8217;s 14-3 vs. this prop while posting a .366\/.444\/.563 slash line.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Abrams is the Nationals&#8217; leadoff hitter, so he&#8217;ll have as many plate appearances as anyone in Washington&#8217;s lineup tonight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He&#8217;s the quintessential leadoff man, with excellent speed (17 steals, t-12th in MLB) and contact (.290 xBA, 87th percentile).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\">Bell under 1.5 total bases (-167)<\/a>:<\/strong> Bell&#8217;s batting average has ticked up slightly this month, but his productivity level isn&#8217;t moving in the right direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>2025 season:<\/strong> .194\/.282\/.355, 80 wRC+, 10.3% barrel rate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>June 2025:<\/strong> .219\/.275\/.342, 72 wRC+, 9.0% barrel rate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The switch-hitting Bell is typically stronger from the left side, but Angels starter Kyle Hendricks is tougher on left-hitting players.
