Elsewhere, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/junior_caminero\/batting-stats\">Junior Caminero<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/brent_rooker\/batting-stats\">Brent Rooker<\/a> are both swinging hot bats and look to keep their production rolling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-1fb8fd5d-1623-4b06-83cc-6471dee8b3c9\">Check out the best MLB prop bets for June 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-22b3784f-32c2-400a-beef-1578a991be49\">MLB prop bets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-0c59b741-4781-48d8-8ffa-d93f8ee90c10\"><strong>Best Bet: Strider under 6.5 Ks (+123)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Is Strider back &#8230; or did he just have the good fortune of facing the Rockies?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Strider lost five consecutive starts to begin his 2025 season, posting a 5.40 ERA and 22.4% K rate in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then he faced Colorado, mowing down 13 batters (59.1 K%) in 6.0 scoreless innings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That one dazzling start is skewing his numbers quite a bit, but I know the Rockies are a far more favourable matchup than tonight&#8217;s opponents, the Mets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Rockies have the second-highest K rate in the majors (26.5%). They also have MLB&#8217;s highest whiff rate vs. sliders (37.6%), according to Baseball Savant, and that is Strider&#8217;s primary put-away pitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mets, meanwhile, have the league&#8217;s fifth-lowest K rate (20.3%) and the third-lowest whiff rate against sliders (28.9%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Familiarity is also on the Mets&#8217; side, too. The current New York lineup has seen Strider for a combined 93 plate appearances, logging just a 21.5 K% in those opportunities. For context, the league-average K rate is 22.0%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New York&#8217;s active lineup is 26-for-80 with a .563 SLG against Strider. So even if he&#8217;s somewhat efficient, the Mets could chase him from the game early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-13bf476e-3f27-4d52-86f2-70dff07fd638\"><strong>Key stat:<\/strong> Prior to facing the Rockies, Strider went under 6.5 Ks in four of five starts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:114957\">Embed: #114957<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-10146156-2d6b-49a8-b097-37743fd550b5\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/baseball\/mlb?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_mlb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Full MLB betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/mlb-injury-report?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=injury_reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/top-players\/hitting\/OPS-on-base_plus_slugging?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=stats_pages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB stats &amp; standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-ebade6eb-0e6a-4675-8cbc-3a4396c11ac4\">Best MLB picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-310bddf4-d3c1-4fc6-8fe4-37281455da02\"><strong>Caminero over 1.5 total bases (+125)<\/strong>: Caminero came alive last night to help the Rays overcome an eight-run deficit and beat the Orioles. He went 4-for-5 and drove in two. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 21-year-old is now on quite the offensive run over his past 25 games:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>.323 BA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>.697 SLG<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2.76 bases\/game<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2+ bases in 15 of 25<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>So far this month, he&#8217;s not even performing as well as Baseball Savant thinks he should be. That&#8217;s a scary thought for opposing teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Caminero has a .258 BA in June, versus a .290 xBA. He only has a 12.7 K% this month and is clearly seeing the ball well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-310bddf4-d3c1-4fc6-8fe4-37281455da02\"><strong>Rooker over 1.5 total bases (-108)<\/strong>: Rooker is mashing lefties about as well as anyone this year. Backing him at home against a southpaw is typically a worthwhile play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The A&#8217;s slugger has a .328\/.426\/.655 slash line against left-handers this season, good for a 203 wRC+ (fifth in MLB).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He&#8217;s also on a stellar run since May 22:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>.357 BA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>.602 SLG<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2.27 bases\/game<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2+ bases in 13 of 26<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Athletics&#8217; home field, Sutter Health Park, ranks as the second-friendliest offensive environment, per Baseball Savant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Look for Rooker to let it fly with Astros rookie LHP Colton Gordon on the mound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-571cf986-8d14-4776-b519-20fa27d04fec\"><em>MLB prop picks made at 9:35 a.m. ET on 06\/19\/2025<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s getaway day in MLB, but I&#8217;m looking at some evening matchups for my prop picks.
