He&#8217;ll face a struggling pitcher this afternoon and should be able to do damage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-1fb8fd5d-1623-4b06-83cc-6471dee8b3c9\">Check out my best MLB prop bets for June 8, which include predictions on Heliot Ramos and Nolan Arenado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-22b3784f-32c2-400a-beef-1578a991be49\">MLB prop bets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/sports\/baseball\/competitions\/10065\"><strong>Full MLB betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/mlb-injury-report\"><strong>MLB injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/top-players\/hitting\/OPS-on-base_plus_slugging\"><strong>MLB player stats<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/standings\/division\"><strong>MLB standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-0c59b741-4781-48d8-8ffa-d93f8ee90c10\"><strong>Best Bet: Ramos over 0.5 runs (+120)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ramos isn&#8217;t a household name, but he&#8217;s working toward that status with his production at the plate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 25-year-old was an all-star last season and is well on his way to that status again. He&#8217;s posted a .295\/.361\/.488 slash line for the Giants in 63 games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After starting the year as primarily a heart-of-the-order hitter, Ramos has worked his way up the lineup. He&#8217;s batted in the first or second spot in 15 consecutive games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ramos hasn&#8217;t put up elite batted-ball numbers, but he&#8217;s solid across the board. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Baseball Savant, he ranks in the 73rd percentile or better in average exit velocity, barrel rate and expected slugging percentage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Typically, with Spencer Strider on the other side, it might be difficult to bet on a runs prop like this. But Strider really hasn&#8217;t been himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His expected ERA (6.41) is among the worst in the majors, and his fastball velocity (95.2 mph) is down three miles an hour from where it was a few seasons ago. That&#8217;s what elbow surgery can do to a player.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Strider isn&#8217;t as imposing as usual, and Ramos is a rising star for the Giants. I think there&#8217;s some value here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-13bf476e-3f27-4d52-86f2-70dff07fd638\"><strong>Key stat:<\/strong> Ramos has scored in 15 of his past 25 games, posting a 1.011 OPS in that span.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-ebade6eb-0e6a-4675-8cbc-3a4396c11ac4\">Best MLB picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-310bddf4-d3c1-4fc6-8fe4-37281455da02\"><strong>Arenado over 0.5 RBI (+150)<\/strong>: Arenado came in clutch for the Cardinals yesterday, delivering a walk-off RBI single in the ninth against the Dodgers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-310bddf4-d3c1-4fc6-8fe4-37281455da02\">It hasn&#8217;t been a stellar season for him, but the third baseman continues racking up opportunities to make an impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-310bddf4-d3c1-4fc6-8fe4-37281455da02\">Arenado ranks eighth in the majors in plate appearances with runners in scoring position (81). He averages 1.7 PAs with runners on second and\/or third per game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, Arenado faces a longtime (and familiar) foe in Clayton Kershaw. The veteran third baseman is 22-for-74 (.297) with a .554 SLG in this head-to-head matchup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arenado has cashed this bet in 12 of his past 20 games. If he has another RISP opportunity, I like his chances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-c3d59bf3-e444-470d-8383-e592fe52f10d\"><strong>Trout over 1.5 total bases (-110)<\/strong>: This isn&#8217;t a great price when you look at how Trout has fared. But his batted-ball quality remains elite, and this is a matchup he should be able to take advantage of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-c3d59bf3-e444-470d-8383-e592fe52f10d\">Trout and the Angels will face Seattle&#8217;s George Kirby, who is still trying to find his way. Three starts into his 2025 season, Kirby has allowed 13 runs on 21 hits in just 13.2 innings (8.56 ERA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the past, Trout has batted 3-for-6 with a home run and two walks against Kirby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, Trout has a .602 xSLG, per Baseball Savant, which far out-paces his actual SLG (.470).
