He&#8217;s set up well again tonight against the San Francisco Giants at their pitcher-friendly home park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-1fb8fd5d-1623-4b06-83cc-6471dee8b3c9\">Check out my best MLB prop bets for June 6, featuring a prediction on Los Angeles Angels righty Kyle Hendricks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-22b3784f-32c2-400a-beef-1578a991be49\">MLB prop bets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/sports\/baseball\/competitions\/10065\"><strong>Full MLB betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/mlb-injury-report\"><strong>MLB injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/top-players\/hitting\/OPS-on-base_plus_slugging\"><strong>MLB player stats<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/standings\/division\"><strong>MLB standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-0c59b741-4781-48d8-8ffa-d93f8ee90c10\"><strong>Best bet: Schwellebach over 5.5 Ks (-143)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m surprised this price is available, but don&#8217;t anticipate that being the case by first pitch at Oracle Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schwellenbach has big strikeout upside: He has punched out 11 batters in back-to-back starts and has another 10-K outing this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sophomore had a pair of double-digit strikeout games in his 2024 rookie year, finishing with a well-above-average 25.4 K%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His Ks are down a bit this season, but he&#8217;s still above average at missing bats and generally works deep into ballgames. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schwellenbach has gone six-plus innings in five straight starts and 10 of 12 on the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At a run-suppressing park against a team with the 12th-highest K rate in the majors \u2014 and below-average power vs. righties \u2014 this is an attractive play to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-13bf476e-3f27-4d52-86f2-70dff07fd638\"><strong>Key stat:<\/strong> Schwellenbach&#8217;s 11-K performance two starts ago came against the San Diego Padres, the most difficult team in the NL to strike out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-ebade6eb-0e6a-4675-8cbc-3a4396c11ac4\">Best MLB picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-310bddf4-d3c1-4fc6-8fe4-37281455da02\"><strong>Hendricks under 17.5 outs (-118)<\/strong>: The veteran has recorded 17-plus outs in five of his last six starts, clearing this line in half of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-310bddf4-d3c1-4fc6-8fe4-37281455da02\">But his performances haven&#8217;t exactly been pretty. The 12th-year veteran has allowed three-plus runs in five straight outings and is vulnerable to a blowup each time he takes the mound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lowest K\/9 rate of his career<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Highest HR\/9 rate of his career <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2nd-highest BB\/9 rate of his career<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Hendricks enters tonight&#8217;s start against the Seattle Mariners with a bottom-of-the-barrel whiff rate and a 5.34 ERA. Getting this many outs from an arm that struggles to miss bats is asking a lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Angels were off Thursday, so the bullpen comes in with more rest than usual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seattle has the seventh-best offence in baseball by wRC+ and is top 10 in homers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-c3d59bf3-e444-470d-8383-e592fe52f10d\"><strong>Soto over 1.5 total bases (-120)<\/strong>: This price on Soto at Coors Field? The superstar&#8217;s struggles and high walk rate lead to this number, but this still feels like a steal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-c3d59bf3-e444-470d-8383-e592fe52f10d\">That&#8217;s especially the case when you consider Colorado&#8217;s starter: Antonio Senzatela. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Rockies right-hander has allowed four-plus runs in nine of 12 starts, including seven straight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Senzatela has a 7.14 ERA (the highest among qualified starters is 5.51). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The New York Mets pounded him for seven runs and eight hits (two homers) in his last start. One of those home runs was hit by Soto. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Left-handed batters are hitting .409 off Senzatela with a 1.022 OPS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Soto is hitting .229 with a disappointing .797 OPS, but perhaps a breakout is coming.
