The NL division leaders will face off on Wednesday night for the upper hand in the next chapter of this four-game series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out my Mets vs. Dodgers predictions, including <a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\">props<\/a> on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/juan_soto\/batting-stats\">Juan Soto<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/andy_pages\/batting-stats\">Andy Pages<\/a> in a +285 SGP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mets vs. Dodgers predictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Parlay: Over 8.5 runs | Soto over 1.5 total bases | Pages over 0.5 hits (+290)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\">Over 8.5 runs (-200):<\/a><\/strong> This is a pretty easy sell with two elite offences battling it out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yesterday&#8217;s game went <a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\">over this mark<\/a>, finishing 6-5, and I feel this is another pitching matchup each lineup can exploit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s start with Tony Gonsolin of the Dodgers. The righty missed all of last season recovering from Tommy John surgery, and he&#8217;s struggling in his return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>5.23 ERA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1.45 WHIP<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6.01 FIP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>He does have a 3-1 record, but I think that attributes more to the run support his offence provides, which is beneficial to the over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the Mets, Griffin Canning takes the mound, and his 3.23 ERA is good on paper, but he gives up a lot of action on the base paths (1.39 WHIP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And if we look at his advanced stats, per Baseball Savant, he ranks below average and is at the receiving end of some good luck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>36th-percentile xERA (4.18)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>11th-percentile average exit velocity (91.4)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>11th-percentile hard-hit rate (47.4)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If he gives up hard contact to this Dodgers&#8217; lineup, that&#8217;ll surely spell trouble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a start against L.A. on May 23, Canning gave up three earned runs in 2.2 innings pitched. He has cleared this line in five straight games with three home runs in the process. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s a small sample size, but his 1.399 OPS during those five games is otherworldly and hopefully a sign of an emerging <a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\">hot streak<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gonsolin is a pitcher that Soto can continue his momentum against.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTc4NzU5JnA9MjM3Njk%3D\">Pages over 0.5 hits (-220):<\/a><\/strong> Pages has gone underappreciated in a dangerous L.A. lineup filled with sluggers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The speedy outfielder is batting .280 in his sophomore season. He&#8217;s heating up, too. Take a look at his last 11 games:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>.326 BA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>.860 OPS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10-1 against this line<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Pages is an everyday player, ranking behind only Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts with 234 plate appearances for the Dodgers this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He&#8217;s earned that by being an excellent defender and constant threat with the bat.
