Chavez is 54-6-1, but his age and recent results raise the questions that are typical of Paul&#8217;s opponents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out our Paul vs. Chavez odds for their fight on June 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Paul vs. Chavez odds<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Paul\/Chavez betting markets<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Betting odds<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Paul to win<\/td><td><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/event\/1023472097?coupon=combination|3716531602|0|replace\">-670<\/a><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Chavez Jr. to win<\/td><td><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/event\/1023472097?coupon=combination|3716531605|0|replace\">+430<\/a><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Boxing odds as of 12:13 p.m. on 05\/30\/202<\/em>5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It appears Paul has once again chosen his opponent cautiously, as he continues to shy away from taking any step up in competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chavez appears to be a great boxer on the surface, and he was at one time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But if you look at his record, you&#8217;ll quickly see a loss to Anderson Silva back in 2021. In that fight, the former UFC champion threw 356 punches while Chavez attempted 153.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"insights\"><strong>Go to full <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/event\/1021031061\">Paul\/Chavez betting markets<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And then in 2022, Paul went toe to toe with Silva, in which the now 28-year-old won decisively by unanimous decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He even knocked down the Brazilian \u2014 something Chavez didn&#8217;t come near doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And three years later, Paul is further in his prime while the Mexican veteran is 39 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To Chavez&#8217;s credit, he is coming off a win. But it came over a less impressive ex-UFC fighter in Uriah Hall, who fell to 1-1-0 in boxing after that decision loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His most recent notable win was over German Dominik Britsch (34-3-1), but that was all the way back in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s just not enough to warrant Chavez getting any credibility ahead of this bout, and that&#8217;s reflected in Paul&#8217;s odds to win (-670).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The &#8220;Problem Child&#8221; has been more active, posting a 5-1 record since the start of last year with three KOs (two in the first round).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His power and speed should overmatch whatever skill Chavez has left.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jake Paul takes part in his 13th pro boxing fight against longtime veteran, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. The latest: Paul has accumulated seven KOs with an 11-1-0 record to this point.
