I&#8217;m targeting one of its hottest bats to do damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-84329f2b-7888-4034-9979-03e8608897e5\">Check out the best MLB prop bets for Wednesday, May 21, featuring plays on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/ryan_mcmahon\/batting-stats\">Ryan McMahon<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/jacob_degrom\/pitching-stats\">Jacob deGrom<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/jack_kochanowicz\/pitching-stats\">Jack Kochanowicz<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-0a4ee124-09d4-4260-81c9-fd6fe232dbb3\">MLB prop bets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Best bet: deGrom over 15.5 outs (-112)<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We haven\u2019t seen prime New York Mets deGrom this season but he remains an upper-tier arm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>deGrom still possesses elite velocity, piles up Ks and doesn\u2019t walk many batters. His numbers are excellent:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2.29 ERA (10th in MLB)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>0.98 WHIP (10th)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5.5 BB% (17th)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>26.6 K% (19th)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>He\u2019s coming off back-to-back 90-plus-pitch outings for the first time this season and worked eight frames in his last start, his best of the season.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the Texas Rangers will likely stay somewhat cautious with deGrom, they aren\u2019t handling the two-time Cy Young winner with kid gloves.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The New York Yankees have the best offence in baseball \u2014 they lead in wRC+, OBP and home runs \u2014 but this line isn\u2019t asking deGrom to go into the Bronx and fire seven innings.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You have to wonder if the Rangers\u2019 bullpen factors in a couple of extra outs for deGrom as long as he\u2019s keeping Texas in the ballgame.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These teams have a quick turnaround tomorrow, playing at 12:35 p.m. ET, and the Rangers aren\u2019t off until May 29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key stat:<\/strong> deGrom has allowed two runs or fewer in six straight starts, clearing this line four times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:114064\">Embed: #114064<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"insights\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/baseball\/mlb?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_mlb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Full MLB betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/mlb-injury-report?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=injury_reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"insights\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/top-players\/hitting\/OPS-on-base_plus_slugging?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=stats_pages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MLB stats &amp; standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Best MLB picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>McMahon over 0.5 RBI (+163)<\/strong>: I want nothing to do with the Rockies at home against the Philadelphia Phillies. But I also want nothing to do with Taijuan Walker.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This game has a huge total of 11.5. If you want in on Phillies props, you\u2019ll be paying a premium price.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Colorado is terrible, though McMahon makes sense as a target.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the projected cleanup bat, he\u2019ll at least have some competent hitters ahead of him. That includes Ezequiel Tovar, who just returned from a month-long absence.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>McMahon has team-best numbers in May in homers (four), average (.322) and OPS (1.047).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And he\u2019s taken advantage of his home park this season:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>5 of his 6 bombs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>.282\/.416\/.535 line&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Team-leading .951 OPS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a great price, and I don&#8217;t trust Walker at Coors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walker comes in with a 2.62 ERA, but he\u2019s been a punching bag the last two seasons. The righty isn\u2019t a big K guy, walks too many batters and couldn\u2019t keep the ball in the yard last year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kochanowicz under 17.5 outs (-112):<\/strong> Kochanowicz gets the Athletics at Sutter Health Park, the most hitter-friendly stadium in MLB this year, per Baseball Savant.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Athletics have a 110 wRC+ at home and rank in the top 10 in ISO vs. right-handers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a tough matchup for any arm, let alone a wild one who doesn\u2019t miss bats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Perhaps the lack of whiffs helped Kochanowicz work deep last season (he was 8-1 against this line from August on), but he also wasn\u2019t missing the zone the same way he is now.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The righty has walked four batters in three of his last four starts and is hitting this outs prop at a below-50% rate.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Kochanowicz\u2019s 3.3 K-BB% is the worst mark among starting pitchers and does not paint the picture of someone who can be trusted in a difficult environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Angels are in the middle of a tough stretch and aren\u2019t off for another week.
