Meanwhile, the New York Knicks have another shot to take advantage and can advance to the Eastern Conference finals with a win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out my Celtics vs. Knicks SGP predictions for Game 6 on May 16, featuring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nba\/players\/jalen_brunson\">Jalen Brunson<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nba\/players\/jaylen_brown\">Jaylen Brown<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Celtics vs. Knicks predictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Parlay: Knicks moneyline | Brunson over 2.5 threes | Brown over 1.5 threes (+350)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong><strong>Knicks moneyline <\/strong><\/strong>(-139):<\/strong> A series that the Celtics were already trailing took an even worse turn when Jayson Tatum went down with a season-ending injury with three minutes remaining in Game 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Boston battled hard for its fallen teammate in Game 5, winning by 25 points at TD Garden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The home side played inspired basketball, shooting 52% from the field (45% from three). Additionally, all six Celtics who played over 24 minutes shot above 50%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That performance will be tough to replicate in a hostile road environment, though.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m expecting a bounce-back effort from the Knicks in the Big Apple and a let-down performance from the Tatum-less Celtics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New York is 3-0 after a loss in the NBA playoffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:113854\">Embed: #113854<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/basketball\/nba?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_nba\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Full NBA betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/nba-injury-report?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=injury_reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>NBA injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nba\/top-players?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=stats_pages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>NBA stats &amp; standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NBA SGP legs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>Brunson over 2.5 threes<\/strong> <\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>(-137):<\/strong> The star point guard had a down performance in Game 5, scoring 22 points in 32 minutes before fouling out in the final quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That was his lowest minutes workload in these playoffs, so the positive is extra rest off the back of a bad game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brunson has also been very good in bounce-back opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has fallen under 2.5 threes five times in the postseason. Look at his averages in the game after the first four:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>34.0 PPG<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>37.8 3PT%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4-0 against this wager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Brunson has been balling for the Knicks all postseason, scoring 29.4 PPG while averaging 7.1 attempts from beyond the arc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He&#8217;s making 2.7 threes per game and has a history of having above-average performances after a bad shooting night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong><strong><strong>Brown over 1.5 threes <\/strong><\/strong><\/strong> (-186):<\/strong> With Tatum out, Brown is the No. 1 option in Boston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even when his teammate is in, this is a line Brown clears regularly. He&#8217;s drained two or more triples in four of the five games in this series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His volume is up, as he&#8217;s attempting 7.2 threes per game in this series. Compare that to his 5.7 average attempts during the regular season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If he totals that amount again tonight, his 33.3% 3-point accuracy should be good enough to push him past this modest total.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Boston will continue to need elevated production to replace Tatum&#8217;s 21.9 field-goal attempts per game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brown is the top candidate to fill the role.
