The Jets are slight home favourites against the Stars&#8217; red-hot offence, led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nhl\/players\/mikko_rantanen\">Mikko Rantanen<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out my Stars vs. Jets playoff SGP predictions featuring Rantanen and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nhl\/players\/kyle_connor\">Kyle Connor<\/a> for Game 5 on May 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stars vs. Jets predictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Parlay: Stars moneyline | Rantanen to score 1+ points | Connor to score 1+ points (+350)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stars moneyline (+108):<\/strong> Goaltending is the great equalizer, and Hellebuyck&#8217;s play is the reason Winnipeg earned home ice throughout the postseason. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But that cuts both ways, and his horrible run has the Jets one game away from breaking out the golf clubs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Regular season:<\/strong> 2.01 GAA, .925 SV%, 3+ goals allowed in 23 of 63 starts <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Potseason:<\/strong> 3.48 GAA, .851 SV%, 3+ goals allowed in 9 of 11 starts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Dallas, meanwhile, has gotten elite play out of its goalie, Jake Oettinger. The 26-year-old has a 2.55 GAA and .917 SV% this postseason and has shut the door in back-to-back games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It would be one thing if the Jets were dominating play at 5-on-5, but they&#8217;re not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winnipeg has generated just two more chances per game than Dallas. With how tightly contested things are, I have to pick the team with better goaltending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:113792\">Embed: #113792<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/ice_hockey\/nhl?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_nhl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Full NHL betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/nhl-injury-report?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=injury_reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>NHL injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nhl\/top-skaters?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=stats_pages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>NHL stats &amp; standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NHL SGP legs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Rantanen to score 1+ points<\/strong> (-245):<\/strong> Rantanen has been on another planet lately, almost single-handedly pushing Dallas past the Colorado Avalanche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He had five goals and 11 points in the final three games of that series and leads all skaters this postseason with 19 points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Finnish winger has seven points in four games against Winnipeg, clearing this total three times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His line with Roope Hintz and Mikael Granlund leads Dallas in chances (41), scoring chances (25), goals (three), and xG (2.36), per Natural Stat Trick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Conner to score 1+ points (-235):<\/strong> I don&#8217;t expect Oettinger to pitch a shutout, and any offence Winnipeg generates is likely to involve Connor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The American is coming off a career season where he logged 41 goals and 97 points.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the playoffs, he has five goals and 14 points in 11 games (8-3 vs. this line).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Connor&#8217;s line with Mark Scheifele and Gabriel Vilardi has generated double the amount of scoring chances (18) as any other line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Look for that trio to produce again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Stars vs. Jets predictions made at 11:25 a.m. ET 05\/15\/2025.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Presidents&#8217; Trophy-winning Winnipeg Jets face elimination on Thursday after losing both road games against the Dallas Stars.
