The reigning AL MVP has an opportunity to do more damage against the Seattle Mariners and Emerson Hancock tonight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-84329f2b-7888-4034-9979-03e8608897e5\">See how I&#8217;m targeting Judge alongside Christian Walker in my best MLB prop bets for May 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-0a4ee124-09d4-4260-81c9-fd6fe232dbb3\">MLB prop bets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/sports\/baseball\/competitions\/10065\"><strong>Full MLB betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/mlb-injury-report\"><strong>MLB injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/top-players\/hitting\/OPS-on-base_plus_slugging\"><strong>MLB player stats<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.com\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/mlb\/standings\/division\"><strong>MLB standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Best bet: Judge 1+ RBI (+110)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Judge is barreling toward the AL Triple Crown, leading MLB in batting average (.409), home runs (14), and RBI (39). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If that&#8217;s not enough to convince you, just take a look at his batted-ball metrics, courtesy of Baseball Savant:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>100th percentile barrel rate (25.0%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>99th percentile average exit velocity (95.9 mph)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>97th percentile hard-hit rate (57.8%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Judge&#8217;s 100th percentile xSLG (.785) is actually five points higher than his real slugging percentage (.779), so this hot start is nowhere near a fluke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I looked long and hard at backing the two-time MVP to record multiple bases at -148. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That&#8217;s playable, considering he&#8217;s reached that threshold in an MLB-best 70.0% of his starts \u2014 23% more than second-place Bobby Witt Jr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But I&#8217;m value hunting, and will instead take him to record an RBI at plus money. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The New York Yankees go up against Hancock, who sports a 5.70 ERA through five starts. The righty ranks in the 16th percentile for xBA (.282), and I trust the bottom of New York&#8217;s order to get aboard for Judge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key stat:<\/strong> Judge has an RBI in eight of his last 13 games (13 total). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Another MLB pick<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Walker over 1.5 bases (+110):<\/strong> Walker is on a heater after a horrible start to the season, and I want in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>First 19 games:<\/strong> .159 BA, .232 SLG, 2+ bases 4 times<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Last 19 games:<\/strong> .288 BA, .507 SGL, 2+ bases 11 times<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Walker is batting .317 in May, recording a hit in eight of nine games, with three going for extra bases. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tonight, the Houston Astros face Michael Wacha and the Kansas City Royals, and that&#8217;s a pitcher Walker has dominated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The veteran first baseman is 5-for-8 against Walker with two doubles and a home run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-84329f2b-7888-4034-9979-03e8608897e5\"><em>MLB prop picks made at 1:21 p.m. ET on 05\/12\/2025.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aaron Judge headlines Monday&#8217;s MLB prop bets.
