{"id":345079,"date":"2025-05-09T11:03:18","date_gmt":"2025-05-09T15:03:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.northstargaming.ca\/admin\/nsgcms\/?p=345079"},"modified":"2025-05-09T11:03:18","modified_gmt":"2025-05-09T15:03:18","slug":"cavaliers-vs-pacers-game-3-nba-sgp-predictions-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.northstargaming.ca\/admin\/nsgcms\/cavaliers-vs-pacers-game-3-nba-sgp-predictions-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Cavaliers vs. Pacers SGP predictions Game 3: Back Evan Mobley and Myles Tuner at +300"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The No. 1-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers have their backs against the wall as they head to Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Friday to take on the Indiana Pacers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The pregame narrative:<\/strong> Indiana won both games on the road behind some Tyrese Haliburton heroics, and now has a chance to put Cleveland in a back-breaking 3-0 hole. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nba\/players\/evan_mobley\">Evan Mobley<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nba\/players\/darius_garland\">Darius Garland<\/a> are both questionable for the Cavs after missing Game 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out my Cavaliers vs. Pacers SGP predictions for May 9, featuring Mobley and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nba\/players\/myles_turner\">Myles Turner<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cavaliers vs. Pacers predictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Parlay: Pacers +10.5 | Turner over 23.5 points and rebounds | Mobley over 16.5 points (+300)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong><strong>Pacers +10.5 <\/strong><\/strong>(-385):<\/strong> I think it&#8217;s time we put some respect on the Pacers&#8217; name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indiana made light work of the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round, and now has the conference&#8217;s top seed on the ropes. And while it might seem like a surprise, it shouldn&#8217;t be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rick Carlisle&#8217;s squad was one of the league&#8217;s best teams following the all-star break (NBA ranks in parentheses):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>20-9 record (fifth)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>+5.6 net rating (seventh)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>111.5 defensive rating (eighth)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In that same span, Cleveland went 20-8 with a +6.8 net rating. I can&#8217;t see the Cavs putting together a blowout win given that they&#8217;re banged up and on the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indiana is 5-1 straight up against Cleveland this year, covering this line in the only loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:113597\">Embed: #113597<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/basketball\/nba?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=sportsbook_nba\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Full NBA betting markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/nba-injury-report?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=injury_reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>NBA injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nba\/top-players?utm_source=insights&amp;utm_medium=text_link&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=stats_pages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>NBA stats &amp; standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NBA SGP legs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Turner over 23.5 points and rebounds <\/strong>(-117):<\/strong> Turner has cleared this line in four straight games, smashing it in three of them:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Game 2 vs. CLE:<\/strong> 23 points, 8 rebounds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Game 1 vs. CLE:<\/strong> 13 points, 11 rebounds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Game 5 vs. MIL:<\/strong> 21 points, 9 rebounds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Game 4 vs. MIL:<\/strong> 23 points, 5 rebounds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Indiana&#8217;s centre is getting big minutes (32.2 in the playoffs) and has some stark home\/away splits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He averaged 23.9 points and rebounds at home during the regular season and 20.6 on the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jarrett Allen is a capable rebounder, but the 6-foot-11, 250-pound Turner is by far the biggest player on the court for either team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He should continue to do damage on the glass, and is shooting a respectable 50.6% this postseason (37.5% from 3). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong><strong><strong>Mobley over 16.5 points (-132)<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>: I&#8217;m taking a swing on Mobley, who missed Game 2 with an ankle injury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There&#8217;s optimism that the Cavaliers&#8217; big man will suit up tonight, according to Joe Vardon of The Athletic, but this is obviously something to monitor heading into game time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One thing I do know is that when Mobley&#8217;s on the floor, he&#8217;s been effective:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>16.3 PPG<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>59.5% shooting (47.1% from 3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>17+ points in 4 of 5 games<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>He has scored 20 points twice this postseason, including Game 1 against the Pacers.
