Minnesota is a heavy favourite to win at home as superstar <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nba\/players\/anthony_edwards\">Anthony Edwards<\/a> looks to break out of a dreadful shooting slump. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out my Warriors vs. Timberwolves SGP predictions for Game 2 on May 8, featuring Edwards and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nba\/players\/jimmy_butler_iii\">Jimmy Butler<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Warriors vs. Timberwolves predictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Parlay: Warrios +15.5 | Butler 8+ rebounds | Edwards 3+ threes (+340)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong><strong>Warriors +15.5 <\/strong><\/strong>(-215):<\/strong> Golden State&#8217;s chances to win this series took a massive hit with Curry&#8217;s injury, but I think the team can remain competitive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Warriors&#8217; defence has been playing on another level, holding opponents to 102.0 PPG in the playoffs. The veteran small forward has willed teams to the NBA Finals before, and is capable of playing huge minutes and stuffing the stat sheet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Butler had 20 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists in Game 1. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>He&#8217;s cleared this line in three straight games, playing 40-plus minutes in each contest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Golden State is an undersized team, meaning Butler is key in the rebounding battle. Minnesota had the 10th-best rebounding rate during the regular season, but that doesn&#8217;t worry me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Butler averaged 8.54 rebounds per 48 minutes against the Houston Rockets in Round 1, and they had the best rebounding rate during the regular season.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Edwards 3+ threes<\/strong> (-275):<\/strong> Edwards is in a bad place right now, shooting a combined 1-for-16 from deep in his last two games, but the greats don&#8217;t stay down for long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dynamic shooting guard had a dynamite season from beyond the arc, averaging the second-most makes (4.1) and attempts (10.3) per game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the regular season and playoffs, he is 65-20 against this line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Edwards had cleared this line in six straight games against the Warriors before Game 1, shooting a combined 24-for-53 from deep (45.2%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Warriors vs. Timberwolves predictions made at 10:00 a.m. ET 05\/08\/2025.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Minnesota Timberwolves look to level their series against the Steph Curry-less Golden State Warriors on Thursday.
