The other two players featured in these picks are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nhl\/players\/mark_scheifele\">Mark Scheifele<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nhl\/players\/nico_hischier\">Nico Hischier<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out my NHL <a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTcxMDU0JnA9MjMxODU%3D\">anytime goal picks<\/a> for Feb. 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NHL anytime goal picks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/ice_hockey\">NHL betting markets<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/nhl-injury-report\"><strong>NHL injury report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nhl\"><strong>NHL player stats<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nhl\"><strong>NHL standings<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:110283\">Embed: #110283<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTcxMDU0JnA9MjMxODU%3D\">Best Bet<\/a>: MacKinnon anytime goalscorer (+123)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MacKinnon leads the NHL in assists (66) and is tied for first in points (87). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you do the quick math, you&#8217;ll realize he has just 21 goals, which is well below last year&#8217;s pace. In 2023-24, he had 51 goals (after 41 the season before).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He&#8217;s still an elite goalscorer, though, leading Team Canada and the entire 4 Nations<em> <\/em>Face-Off with four goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Avalanche play at home tonight, where MacKinnon has the higher scoring rate this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Home:<\/strong> 13 goals in 28 games (46.4%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Away:<\/strong> 8 goals in 31 games (25.8%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>He hasn&#8217;t scored since the break but has 11 shots total in the two games back. Both contests were on the road, and I expect better results in the Mile High City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key stat:<\/strong> MacKinnon has scored three times in his last four games against New Jersey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Top picks to score<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTcxMDU0JnA9MjMxODU%3D\">Scheifele anytime goalscorer (+145)<\/a>:<\/strong> What a year it&#8217;s been for Scheifele, who has 32 goals in 58 games. That ranks third in the NHL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After questionably being left off Team Canada, he&#8217;s playing with some extra ferocity right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scheifele found the back of the net against the San Jose Sharks on Monday and played over 24 minutes for just the second time this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oh, and the Jets have won 10 games in a row heading into Wednesday, while the Ottawa Senators have lost four straight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Linus Ullmark, who&#8217;s expected to start for the Sens, has been very streaky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After going on an incredible run in December, he fell victim to another injury. Since his return, Ullmark has allowed 12 goals over three games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That includes getting lit up for five goals on 15 shots against the Montreal Canadiens on Feb. 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTcxMDU0JnA9MjMxODU%3D\">Hischier anytime goalscorer (+215)<\/a>:<\/strong> Going back to the Avalanche vs. Devils game, I&#8217;m backing one of New Jersey&#8217;s top goalscorers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m hoping the Devils can capitalize on the power play led by Hischier. He has 24 goals this season and nine of them came with the man advantage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Colorado has a below-average defence (3.03 goals\/game) and its penalty kill is far from elite (79.9%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are some strong defensive teams in action Wednesday, so this is one of the few edges to go off of.
