I&#8217;m buying in and backing him to stuff the stat sheet again. I also have picks on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nba\/players\/jalen_duren\">Jalen Duren <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nba\/players\/tyrese_maxey\">Tyrese Maxey<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-8f1effd0-db18-40a8-916e-091372420d9e\">Check out the best NBA prop bets for Feb. 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-0a4ee124-09d4-4260-81c9-fd6fe232dbb3\">Best NBA prop bets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/basketball\/nba\">Full NBA betting markets<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/nba-injury-report\">NBA injury report<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nba\/top-players\">NBA player stats<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nba\/standings\">NBA standings<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-479767b6-5872-497b-ac44-239c07c7e3d5\"><strong>Best bet: Ball over 39.5 points\/rebounds\/assists (-115)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:109008\">Embed: #109008<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a hefty line but with Ball&#8217;s 35.7% usage rate (second in the NBA behind Joel Embiid), he can easily clear this total on any given night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dynamic point guard missed five games but returned to play the San Antonio Spurs on Friday and recorded 38 points\/rebounds\/assists in a normal 36-minute workload.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ball shot 9-of-26 (34.6%) from the floor and saw himself at the free-throw line a measly two times en route to 24 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those stats are below average for Ball, who scores 28.0 points on 41.6% shooting and attempts 5.4 FTs per game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Slightly better efficiency or a few more trips to the line would&#8217;ve done the trick on Friday and I expect a better performance tonight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-479767b6-5872-497b-ac44-239c07c7e3d5\"><strong>Key stat<\/strong>: In his last game vs. the Pistons on Nov. 21, Ball had 35 points, six rebounds and nine assists (50 PRAs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quick picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Duren to record a double-double (-109)<\/strong>: In just 19 minutes of action on Friday, Duren had 13 points and 13 rebounds against the Philadelphia 76ers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was the big man&#8217;s 22nd double-double of the season and his 10th in the last 12 games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During that time, he&#8217;s averaging:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>14.5 points<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>12.1 rebounds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>72.2 FG%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>27.5 minutes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All of those numbers are up from his season averages. It appears Duren is earning the trust of head coach J.B. Bickerstaff as he progresses in his second year in the NBA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And tonight, he has a rather soft matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. They allow the eight-most points and sixth-most rebounds to centres, per Fantasy Pros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maxey over 29.5 points (-112):<\/strong> This is quite the line but I still want in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maxey has been torching opposing defences, averaging 32.1 PPG since Jan. 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In that 17-game span, he&#8217;s cleared this 11 times. It&#8217;s also worth noting that the fewest points he&#8217;s scored in a game during this run is 27 and it was on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m expecting a huge bounce-back effort \u2014 if you can call it that \u2014 vs. the Milwaukee Bucks who allow the most points per game to PGs (26.7).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-84329f2b-7888-4034-9979-03e8608897e5\"><em>Picks made at 8:41 a.m. ET on 02\/09\/2025.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Before the Super Bowl kicks off on Sunday, there&#8217;s afternoon basketball and I have three prop bets from the action.
