I&#8217;m also zagging against popular opinion and fading Travis Kelce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The pregame narrative:<\/strong> Kelce is coming off a quiet game and draws a rough matchup, while Hunt&#8217;s situation is just the opposite. Additionally, I like Jalen Hurts to clear a fairly modest passing yards total.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out my Super Bowl prop picks below for the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles matchup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Super Bowl prop picks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/event\/1022628365\"><strong>Full Super Bowl Markets<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/article\/nfl-injury-report\"><strong>Super Bowl 59 Injury Report<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nfl\/teams\/kc_kansas_city_chiefs_afc_west\/stats\"><strong>Kansas City Chiefs Team Stats<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nfl\/teams\/phi_philadelphia_eagles_nfc_east\/stats\"><strong>Philadelphia Eagles Team Stats<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:108531\">Embed: #108531<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Best bet: Hunt over 43.5 rushing yards (-115)<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Isiah Pacheco went down early in the season, Hunt stepped in as a free agent and handled a hefty workload for the Chiefs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon Pacheco&#8217;s return in Week 13, I expected KC to deploy a timeshare that eventually shifted into Pacheco&#8217;s favour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That really hasn&#8217;t been the case in the postseason, though, as Hunt has held a notable usage advantage:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Hunt:<\/strong> 53.0% snaps, 25 carries, 2 targets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pacheco:<\/strong> 29.9% snaps, 10 carries, 3 targets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Hunt had 17 carries for 64 yards and a touchdown in the AFC title game, marking his highest carry count since Week 9. He&#8217;s also scored in four straight games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why deviate from the hot hand?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If Hunt retains his RB1 role, this yardage total should be well within reach. Especially since the Eagles&#8217; stout pass defence might force the Chiefs to deploy a more run-heavy approach than usual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Philadelphia has allowed the fewest pass yards per attempt (5.5) and the lowest success rate per dropback (41.5%), per rbsdm.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Look for Hunt to clear this yardage total for a fifth time in six games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key stat:<\/strong> Hunt had twice as many snaps \u2014 and more than three times as many carries \u2014 as Pacheco in the AFC championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quick picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Kelce<\/strong> under 61.5 receiving yards (-113):<\/strong> Kelce has 70-plus receiving yards in 14 of his past 15 playoff games &#8230; so who do I think I am fading him on the NFL&#8217;s biggest stage?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, Kelce was used only sparingly in the Chiefs&#8217; AFC championship win against Buffalo (four targets, two catches, 19 yards). And now he draws a daunting matchup against Philadelphia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Eagles allowed the fewest yards to opposing tight ends during the regular season (34.8\/game).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In 20 total games, only three TEs have gone over 61.5 receiving yards vs. the Eagles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Kelce, 35, is declining gracefully, but he&#8217;s still declining. I know he&#8217;ll command plenty of attention from the Eagles on Sunday, but I expect them to keep the clamps on him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kelce averaged a career-low 51.4 receiving yards per game during the regular season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hurts over 199.5 passing yards (-117):<\/strong> Hurts doesn&#8217;t often get to air it out for the Eagles, but he showed how successful he can be as a passer in the NFC title game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two-time Pro Bowler completed 20-of-28 passes for 246 yards and two TDs against the Commanders. He joked afterward that the pass-happy attack had &#8220;let (him) out of (his) straitjacket a little bit.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No team runs the ball as often as the Eagles, who have a 55.9% run play percentage this season, per Team Rankings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the Chiefs are a better defence against the run than they are against the pass, so Hurts might get out of that run-heavy straitjacket once more. KC&#8217;s defence ranks ninth in yards per rush (4.2) and 16th in yards per pass (6.6).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Super Bowl 57, Hurts torched the Chiefs for 304 yards and a 103.4 QB rating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>NFL picks made at 1:25 p.m. on 02\/04\/25.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I expect big things from Kareem Hunt, and he&#8217;s featured in my favourite prop bet for Super Bowl 59.
