I&#8217;m backing Barrett Hayton to pick up a point against a struggling defence. I also have player props on Jonathan Marchessault and Sam Bennett.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out my NHL <a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTcxMDU0JnA9MjMxODU%3D\">prop picks<\/a> for Jan. 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NHL prop picks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"insights\"><strong>Go to<\/strong> <strong>full <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/ice_hockey\/nhl\">NHL betting markets<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:107840\">Embed: #107840<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTcxMDU0JnA9MjMxODU%3D\">Best bet:<\/a> Hayton over 0.5 points (+140)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m fading Pittsburgh&#8217;s defence and goaltending more than anything with this pick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s been a rough season for the Pens as they rank towards the bottom in most defensive categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>31st in goals allowed\/game: 3.6<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>29th in shots allowed\/game: 30.9<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fourth-most high-danger goals against per 60: 1.65, according to Natural Stat Trick<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After a sluggish start to the season, Hayton has picked up his game since the new year with 10 points in 12 games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These teams met on Nov. 23, where Utah came out on top in a 6-1 bloodbath. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTcxMDU0JnA9MjMxODU%3D\">Key stat<\/a>:<\/strong> Hayton has recorded six points in the last four games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quick picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.northstarbets.ca\/page?key=ej0xMzUyNDU3MiZsPTEzNTcxMDU0JnA9MjMxODU%3D\">Bennett over 2.5 shots (+120)<\/a>:<\/strong> Bennett&#8217;s Panthers take on the Los Angeles Kings in a tough matchup.
