I also see value in Yegor Sharangovich&#8217;s points prop during the centre&#8217;s hot streak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out my Flames vs. Jets prop picks for Jan. 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Flames vs. Jets prop picks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Go to full <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/ice_hockey\/nhl\">NHL betting markets<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:107518\">Embed: #107518<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Best bet: Connor 1+ power-play points (+175)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m riding with the top scorer on the league&#8217;s top power play in a favourable matchup. It really is that simple, but I will dive deeper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Connor has 21 PP points (t-7th in the NHL).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Flames have the NHL&#8217;s 4th-worst penalty kill (72.3%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Not only that, but Calgary takes the most penalty minutes per game (10.9).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There should be ample opportunity for Winnipeg with the man advantage and I&#8217;m predicting Connor to lead the charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Jets convert on 32.4% of their PPs, so typically only a few chances are needed for the team to be successful. The hope, then, is that their leading scorer is involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key stat:<\/strong> Connor has a point on the power play in one of two games vs. the Flames this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quick pick<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sharangovich 1+ points (+163):<\/strong> On Jan. 23 I backed Sharangovich in my NHL prop picks and he came through with an empty-net goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He followed that up with a two-point point performance against the Minnesota Wild on Saturday, so I&#8217;m going back to the well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His output hasn&#8217;t been up to standard this season, as Sharangovich has just 17 points in 40 games after missing the first portion of the season recovering from an injury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But this is a guy who scored 59 points a year ago. Now, it appears he&#8217;s finding his stride again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since moving back to the centre position \u2014 his natural spot \u2014 he&#8217;s found chemistry with his new linemates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sharangovich is 4-2 against this line over his past six games, with six points total. He&#8217;s been upgraded to the first power-play unit, too, while Connor Zary is sidelined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The move hasn&#8217;t resulted in any production yet, but I feel in assuming the points will come as he spends more time with Calgary&#8217;s top skaters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Picks made at 12:10 p.m. ET on 01\/26\/2025.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Calgary Flames and Winnipeg Jets clash on Sunday evening.
