{"id":320676,"date":"2025-01-10T12:58:47","date_gmt":"2025-01-10T17:58:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.northstargaming.ca\/admin\/nsgcms\/?p=320676"},"modified":"2025-01-10T12:58:47","modified_gmt":"2025-01-10T17:58:47","slug":"nba-prop-bets-january-10-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.northstargaming.ca\/admin\/nsgcms\/nba-prop-bets-january-10-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Best NBA prop bets Jan. 10: Back Vucevic and Tatum, fade George"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p id=\"block-84329f2b-7888-4034-9979-03e8608897e5\">Tonight&#8217;s seven-game NBA slate features Jayson Tatum, Paul George and Nikola Vucevic as compelling prop targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-84329f2b-7888-4034-9979-03e8608897e5\"><strong>The pregame narrative<\/strong>: Vucevic has a smash spot, Tatum&#8217;s matchup looks like a plus, and the struggling George is a fade for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-8f1effd0-db18-40a8-916e-091372420d9e\">Check out the best NBA prop bets for Jan. 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-0a4ee124-09d4-4260-81c9-fd6fe232dbb3\">NBA prop bets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Go to full <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/basketball\/nba\">NBA betting markets<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-479767b6-5872-497b-ac44-239c07c7e3d5\"><strong>Best bet: <strong>Vucevic over 30.5 points\/rebounds<\/strong> (-117)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:105892\">Embed: #105892<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vucevic has double-doubled in both meetings versus the Washington Wizards this season (12 and 14; 19 and 12).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chicago Bulls centre enters tonight&#8217;s game against the Wizards with these averages:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>20.2 pts (17\/36 vs. 19.5 line)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10.1 rebs (12\/36 vs. 11.5 line)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>30.3 pts\/rebs (17\/36 vs. 30.5 line)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>He also has multiple games\u00a0landing on exactly 30 points\/rebounds.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of price, the rebound prop is most enticing because it&#8217;s a slight plus-money offer (+102).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But that&#8217;s for a reason, as Vucevic has only collected 12-plus boards in a third of his games \u2014 although he&#8217;s done it twice versus Washington.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While he hasn&#8217;t topped a 19.5-point total against them, this still looks like a 20\/10 game for\u00a0him with room for upside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Getting to 20\/10 simply means hitting his season averages. But Washington is a plus matchup even if Vucevic didn&#8217;t exactly\u00a0exploit\u00a0it offensively in his previous two meetings.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Wizards allow the most points per game to centres, per Betting Pros, and are inside the top 10 for most rebounds allowed to the position.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are the bottom two teams in the NBA in opponent scoring, and Washington gets throttled in the paint, where Vucevic thrives.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Going the combo route adds some cover in the event he explodes offensively or dominates the glass.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But it&#8217;s entirely possible he does both and blows past this line.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key stat<\/strong>: Tonight&#8217;s projected total of 243 points is easily the highest of the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quick picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>George under 21.5 points (-115)<\/strong>: In terms of backcourt positions, the New Orleans Pelicans have struggled more with point guards and are tasked with stopping a good one tonight in Tyrese Maxey.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maxey will be the Philadelphia 76ers&#8217; offensive catalyst and should continue to get huge volume with star Joel Embiid sidelined.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the past two games without Embiid, Maxey has taken a combined 52 shots (including 28 threes).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As for George, the scoring simply hasn&#8217;t been there this season \u2014 with or without Embiid.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He scores more with the former MVP out, but is only 3-8 against this line in those 11 games (per StatMuse).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, George has cleared this line four times in 24 games in what has been a disappointing debut season with the Sixers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tatum over 26.5 points (-110)<\/strong>: This is a big number for anyone, but it&#8217;s still below Tatum&#8217;s season average (28.1 PPG). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Boston Celtics superstar <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/news\/stats\/nba\/players\/jayson_tatum\">has scored 30-plus points<\/a> 16 times, topping this line in 20 of 34 contests overall. That&#8217;s good for a 58.8% success rate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While imperfect, that alone has the odds working in our favour. The matchup is the cherry on top. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sacramento Kings allow the fourth-most points to power forwards and the most 3-pointers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They&#8217;ve been crushed beyond the arc this season (27th in opponent 3-point percentage), and no team attempts more 3s than Boston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tatum should score and boost his output with work from beyond the arc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 26-year-old is averaging career highs in made 3s (3.8) and attempts (10.5). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Picks made at 12:19 p.m. ET on 01\/10\/2025.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tonight&#8217;s seven-game NBA slate features Jayson Tatum, Paul George and Nikola Vucevic as compelling prop targets.
