Elsewhere, Evan Mobley and Jalen Brunson should be efficient from their favourite spots on the floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-8f1effd0-db18-40a8-916e-091372420d9e\">Check out the best NBA prop bets on Dec. 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-0a4ee124-09d4-4260-81c9-fd6fe232dbb3\">NBA prop bets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Go to full <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarbets.ca\/sportsbook\/sports-hub\/basketball\/nba\">NBA betting markets<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-479767b6-5872-497b-ac44-239c07c7e3d5\"><strong>Best bet: Wembanyama over 23.5 points (-122)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"cacheembed:102101\">Embed: #102101<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Folks were rightfully concerned with Wembanyama&#8217;s start to the season but the reigning rookie of the year seems to have figured it out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First nine games: 17.7 PPG, 41.3% shooting, 3-6 against this line<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Last seven games: 30.7 PPG, 52.9% shooting, 6-1 against this line<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Wembanyama is coming off an outing where he dropped 20 points on 9-of-20 shooting against the Los Angeles Lakers, snapping a six-game skid of scoring 24-plus. But he didn&#8217;t get to the free-throw line in that game and still attempted a healthy 20 shots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Somehow, the 7-foot-4 phenom doesn&#8217;t draw many fouls but this bet is more about his volume and matchup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The San Antonio Spurs take on a Sacramento Kings team which gets torched at the rim and beyond the arc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Cleaning the Glass, the Kings let opponents shoot 68.2% at the rim (23rd in NBA) and 38.1% from deep (28th in NBA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wembanyama takes 30% of his shots at the rim and 47% of his shots from beyond the arc. Would I like to see him less dependent on the 3-point ball? For sure, but in the context of this matchup, heaving up threes is a good thing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key stat<\/strong>: The last time Wembanyama played the Kings he dropped 34 points and went 6-of-12 from deep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-fa134a48-a478-432b-95e0-66881f0d337b\">Quick picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mobley over 16.5 points (-110)<\/strong>: Mobley is in the midst of his best scoring season, averaging a career-high 18.2 points per game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His scoring floor is what has my attention. The power forward has cleared this line in eight of his last 15 games \u2014 which isn&#8217;t crazy \u2014 but he&#8217;s had at least 14 points in all but one of those contests. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Night in and night out, Mobley is within a basket of clearing this total. He&#8217;s taking the most shots of his career (12.2) and scored 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting the last time he played the Boston Celtics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking of Boston, its biggest defensive deficiency is letting opponents score at the rim (68.7%, 24th in NBA) and that&#8217;s where Mobley does a lot of his work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Brunson over 2.5 threes (-113)<\/strong>: When Brunson gets hot, look out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The New York Knicks frontman has been buzzing lately, scoring 25-plus points in five of his last eight games. He also netted three-plus 3s in five of those contests and is shooting a respectable 41.0% from deep this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brunson doesn&#8217;t attempt a boatload of 3-pointers (6.2\/game) but he should be active against a New Orleans Pelicans team which lets opponents shoot 37.4% from deep (sixth-highest mark in the NBA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Picks made at 9:19 a.m. ET on 12\/01\/2024.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Victor Wembanyama headlines Sunday&#8217;s NBA prop bets.
