Betting insights
- Ottawa had Toronto’s number last season, winning three of four games while averaging 4.5 goals per game. The Sens have a middling 7-7-0 record this season and have struggled to find offence in their last five (2.2 goals/game), while the Leaf’s power play has been clicking in the absence of Auston Matthews (7-of-3).
- The Jets’ 14-1-0 record is the best start through 15 games in NHL history. Winnipeg has been receiving elite play from Connor Hellebuyck who looks for a second-straight Vezina Trophy. Igor Shesterkin has also been solid for New York, meaning offence could be hard to come by.
- Connor McDavid recorded his first three-point game of the season in a Saturday night drumming of the Vancouver Canucks. Now, the Oilers look to improve on their miserable 2-5-3 home record.
- Calgary snapped a three-game losing streak to Vancouver with a 6-5 win on opening night. The Flames are 3-5-2 since their 5-0-1 start to the season and are struggling to get consistent goalkeeping between Dustin Wolf and Dan Vladar.
