Champions League Matchday 6 is nearly upon us, and with it comes a couple of notable games.
The Matchday 6 narrative: Can Liverpool stop the skid? After starting its season 5-0-0 in the Premier League, the club sits ninth in its domestic table. The Reds’ upcoming match won’t be easy, as they face an Inter Milan side with two UCL runner-ups in the past four years. On Wednesday, two perennial juggernauts take the pitch as Manchester City look to upset Real Madrid.

Champions League Matchday 6 odds and key fixtures
- Is this finally Inter’s year? The club’s next league phase match, against Liverpool, should be a tough one. But the Reds have been flat lately, going 3-2-4 in their last nine games, which means it could be the right time for Inter to strike.
- Liverpool’s recent struggles are well known, but they are still an incredibly talented club. The reigning EPL champs could use a bounce-back effort here.
- Can Real Madrid win a potential shootout? City’s Erling Haaland, who’s arguably the best striker in the world, has 15 goals and three assists through 15 EPL games. Both teams have tremendous talent, but if this turns into a high-scoring match, can Madrid keep up?
- Manchester City was dominant for years, but recently, that gap has narrowed. The Citizens still have elite firepower, but it’s too soon to tell if they can contend with the juggernauts of the Champions League.

Other notes
- These Benfica vs. Napoli odds might confuse some people, as the Italian giants are underdogs in Portugal. But Napoli has lost five of its last seven away games across all competitions, and Benfica has scored exactly two goals in four of its last five outings. It makes sense that the home team is favoured in this match.
- Atletico Madrid is a team filled with world-class talent, and on Wednesday, they face a significantly smaller club in PSV Eindhoven. However, the Dutch team has been dominant this year, going 13-1-1 domestically with a +29 goal differential. PSV beat Liverpool 4-1 on Matchday 5, and Atletico has lost its last two Champions League away games.
- Chelsea picked up an impressive 3-0 win over Barcelona in its last Champions League match, but recorded just two points in its three EPL fixtures since. The Blues can be had at plus money to beat an Atalanta side currently sitting 12th in Serie A with a pedestrian 3-7-4 record.
