Raptors vs. Nets prop picks Nov. 11: Look for Quickley to take advantage of Brooklyn’s struggling defence

Raptors vs. Nets prop picks

The Toronto Raptors’ five-game road trip continues on Tuesday night against the lowly Brooklyn Nets.

The latest: Brooklyn is one of three one-win teams in the NBA, and the team is 0-5 at Barclays Center so far. Toronto won both matchups in Brooklyn last year by double-digit margins, and the Raps are laying 10.5 points tonight.

Check out these Raptors vs. Nets prop picks for the game on Nov. 11, featuring Immanuel Quickley and Egor Demin.

Raptors vs. Nets prop picks

Best bet: Quickley over 22.5 points/assists (-115)

Brooklyn’s defence has posted an NBA-worst 126.6 defensive rating so far, and I’m bullish on Quickley’s opportunity to thrive tonight.

  • For one thing, Quickley has carved up the Nets in the past. He’s 3-0 vs. this points/assists number in three matchups as the Raptors’ starting point guard, averaging 25.7 points and 9.0 assists.
  • Quickley hasn’t scored as much this year as last year, but he has 15+ points in five of his past seven games.
  • The Nets are allowing the most assists per game to opponents (31.0).

-> Bet on Immanuel Quickley here!

I expect Quickley to dish at least six assists, as he has in eight of 10 games this season. If that happens, he’d need a decent — but doable — scoring output to cash.

Hopefully, Quickley can build off his season-high 22 points from last time out. He was an efficient 8-of-16 (5-of-9 from deep) in that game.

One aspect of his game that definitely has meat on the bone is free-throw shooting. Quickley has only scored at a 76.9% clip from the line this season, but he’s an 85.5% shooter from the line in his career.

Key stat: Quickley has cashed this points/assists prop in back-to-back games and has 22+ PA in five of his past seven games.

Toronto vs. Brooklyn props

Demin over 16.5 points/rebounds/assists (-124): With Cam Thomas (hamstring) ruled out again, I’m loving this prop for Demin based on presumed opportunity.

The eighth-overall pick in the 2025 draft has started in both games sans-Thomas, and he cashed this bet both times.

-> Full Raptors vs. Nets props at NorthStar Bets

In fact, in his five games with 20+ minutes played this year, Demin is 4-1 vs. this PRA number.

The Raptors are hefty favourites tonight, but if the game gets out of hand, the 19-year-old Demin doesn’t seem like the type of player who’d be pulled early. And the Nets don’t play again until Friday, anyway.

Best NBA prop picks Nov. 10: Back Derik Queen, Victor Wembanyama and Luka Doncic

NBA prop picks Nov. 10

Victor Wembanyama and Luka Doncic headline Monday’s NBA prop bets.

Tonight’s NBA prop narrative: Doncic (+400) and Wembanyama (+1,000) sit third and fifth on the MVP odds board after strong starts to the season. They should fill the basket tonight with plus matchups against the Charlotte Hornets and Chicago Bulls.

Check out my favourite NBA prop picks for Nov. 10, featuring New Orleans Pelicans rookie Derik Queen.

NBA prop picks Nov. 10

Best bet: Doncic over 34.5 points (-112)

You rarely see a point total this high in the NBA, and may be inclined to fade it out of principle.

But Doncic is a special player with 50-point upside on a nightly basis. He’s averaging 37.0 PPG over six games so far, and has cleared this line four times.

The Slovenian superstar is leading L.A. in FGA (23.8) and 3PA (11.5) per game, so you know he’ll get his shots up — especially with LeBron James out and Austin Reaves (groin) questionable.

-> Bet on Doncic to win the MVP at NorthStar Bets

Charlotte is one of, if not the worst, teams in the NBA, making this an A-plus matchup:

  • 29th in opponent 3PT% (39.7)
  • 26th in opponent PPG (121.0)
  • 24th in defensive rating (117.0)

Doncic can get white-hot from 3-point range, and Charlotte’s perimeter defence is the second-worst in basketball. That should allow him to pile up points quickly.

Key stat: Doncic has scored 34+ points in five of his last seven games against Charlotte.

Today’s best NBA prop bets

Wembanyama over 25.5 points (-120): Wemby, much like Doncic, has high scoring upside.

This line is much lower, though, probably because of the centres’ recent form. Wembanyama is averaging 17.0 PPG this month on 39.7% shooting.

-> Bet on a monster night from Wembanyama against Chicago

I’m not one to forget what he did in October, though:

  • 30.2 PPG
  • 56.3 FG%
  • 4-1 against this line

I don’t think there’s anyone on the Bulls who can guard Wembanyama in the paint.

Nikola Vucevic is Chicago’s tallest player at 6-foot-9, and he struggles to defend the pick and roll, which Wembanyama and Stephon Castle have been abusing so far.

The Bulls are allowing the seventh-most PPG to opposing centres, per Fantasy Pros.

Queen over 6.5 rebounds (+110): I’m liking what I’ve seen out of Queen, the No. 13 overall pick from Maryland, so far.

The 6-foot-9, 250-pound centre is a force in the paint, with strong playmaking skills and a nice scoring touch. Here’s what he’s done in his last three games:

  • 12.0 PPG
  • 6.7 RPG
  • 5.7 APG

Queen is far from a finished product, averaging 3.0 fouls and 1.2 turnovers a night, but is worth backing when the time is right.

And tonight seems like a good opportunity to take the over on his rebounding total, with Zion Williamson out and Yves Missi questionable.

Queen has played 25-plus minutes in consecutive games and has at least five rebounds in five of his last six outings (going 3-3 vs. this line).

The Phoenix Suns, tonight’s opponent, are giving up the eighth-most rebounds per game to opposing centres.

Hawks vs. Clippers SGP predictions Nov. 10: Back Atlanta and Porzingis in +310 wager

Hawks vs. Clippers SGP

Monday’s NBA slate ends at Intuit Dome with the Los Angeles Clippers hosting the Atlanta Hawks.

The pregame narrative: Kawhi Leonard and Trae Young are out, zapping a good bit of star power from this showdown. The Clippers are slight home favourites as the Hawks begin a four-game West Coast road trip.

Check out my Hawks vs. Clippers SGP predictions for Nov. 10, featuring Kristaps Porzingis and Derrick Jones Jr.

Hawks vs. Clippers SGP

Parlay: Hawks +11.5 | Porzingis over 18.5 points | Jones 10+ points (+310)

Hawks +11.5 (-420): I’m being overly cautious with this leg, and believe Atlanta has a good chance to win outright.

The Clippers have dropped four straight games, three of which were at home, and are missing their star player, Leonard. The Hawks are also missing their best player, but have fared much better without Young.

  • L.A. without Leonard: 0-3, 104.0 PPG
  • Atlanta without Young: 4-2, 116.7 PPG

Atlanta has only lost by 12-plus points twice this year, and both games were to the Toronto Raptors, a team with much deeper starting talent than L.A.

-> Bet on NBA futures at NorthStar Bets

James Harden and Bradley Beal are both shooting below 45% from the field, and that’s just not going to cut it.

Embed: #120836

NBA SGP legs

Porzingis over 18.5 points (-112): The oft-injured Porzingis has been eased into his Hawks career, reaching 30 minutes of playing time just once so far.

But that was in his last outing, where he attempted 16 shots (his second most this season).

Porzingis only went 4-for-16 from the field and fell shy of this line with 17 points. But I’m encouraged by the opportunities and expect him to play a big factor tonight.

-> Bet on Porzingis on Monday night

The big man has scored at least 15 points in every game, which is a great floor to work with.

Jones 10+ points (-125): Jones is adding some efficient scoring for the Clippers as a starter.

  • 10.8 PPG
  • 59.0 FG%
  • 41.7 3PT%

He’s reached this milestone in four of his last five games, and came within a basket of cashing the wager in the outlier.

Overall, he is 6-3 against this line.

With Leonard out and Beal (hamstring) questionable, Jones should get plenty of run and see an uptick in shooting volume.

Timberwolves vs. Kings SGP predictions Nov. 9: Back DeRozan and Edwards in +295 ticket

Timberwolves vs. Kings SGP

Sunday’s NBA slate is wrapped up in Sacramento when the Kings host the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The pregame narrative: Sacramento (3-6) is off to a slow start but has largely played teams close. The Kings are 5.5-point home underdogs tonight against a T-Wolves team which is 2-3 ATS on the road.

Check out my Timberwolves vs. Kings SGP predictions for Nov. 9, featuring Anthony Edwards and DeMar DeRozan.

-> Join NorthStar Bets to start betting on the NBA

Timberwolves vs. Kings SGP

Parlay: Kings +7.5 | Edwards 3+ threes | DeRozan over 21.5 points (+295)

Kings +7.5 (-162): Sacramento is expected to have a down year, and its 3-6 record indicates just that.

But the Kings are a scrappy group with a ton of veteran talent (DeRozan, Zach LaVine, Domantas Sabonis), who should seldom go down without a fight.

They are 7-2 ATS against this number, beating the Milwaukee Bucks and Golden State Warriors outright while losing by six on the road to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

OKC did rout Sacramento by 31 after that, which will happen against the champs.

Minnesota hasn’t hit its stride just yet, with a mediocre 5-4 record through nine games. The T-Wolves’ five wins are against teams with a combined 13-30 record.

These teams split the season series 2-2 last year, with Sacramento covering this number in all four games.

-> Bet on NBA Futures now

Embed: #120792

NBA SGP legs

Edwards 3+ threes (-265): Edwards was nearly automatic at this number last season, averaging 4.1 makes on 10.3 attempts per game (39.5%).

Expect more of the same this season.

The high-flying shooting guard is coming off a monster game against the Utah Jazz on Friday, draining 7-of-12 threes in just 27 minutes of playing time.

-> Bet on Anthony Edwards props at NorthStar Bets

Edwards is 4-1 against this line so far, but is really spotless. The only outlier was a game where he exited after three minutes due to injury.

It doesn’t really matter for a player like Edwards, but it’s worth noting that Sacramento allows the 10th-most 3s per game to opposing SGs, per Fantasy Pros.

DeRozan over 21.5 points (-105): DeRozan can still fill the basket in Year 17 — and he hasn’t had to re-invent the wheel.

  • The veteran forward has ranked in the 97th percentile or greater in mid-range shot frequency in each of the last 14 seasons, per Cleaning the Glass.
  • He is taking 71% of his shots in the mid-range this year (100th percentile).
  • DeRozan is averaging 20.1 PPG. If the season were to end today, it would be his 13th straight season averaging above 20.0 PPG.

Minnesota is a strong defensive team, but one area it struggles to defend is the mid-range. The T-Wolves are allowing opponents to shoot 46.8% from that area of the court, which ranks 26th out of 30 teams.

This seems like a great spot for DeRozan to do damage.

Best NBA prop picks Nov. 9: Back Duren, Simons on Sunday and fade Edgecombe

NBA prop picks Nov. 8

One of Sunday’s seven NBA games has caught my attention on the prop market.

Tonight’s NBA prop narrative: The Philadelphia 76ers host the Detroit Pistons with the former playing on a back-to-back. That almost certainly means Joel Embiid will be sidelined, and Detroit is favoured as a result. I’m backing Detroit’s Jalen Duren and am fading Philly’s VJ Edgecombe.

Check out my favourite NBA prop picks for Nov. 9, featuring Boston Celtics shooting guard Anfernee Simons.

-> Join NorthStar Bets & bet on the NBA today!

NBA prop picks Nov. 8

Best bet: Duren over 18.5 points (-118)

Duren is red-hot, and I want in.

  • First four games: 20.3 MPG, 13.3 PPG, 57.6 FG%
  • Last five games: 32.0 MPG, 24.0 PPG, 67.7 FG%

The Pistons’ big man was eased into action but is now fully unleashed, and the results are undeniable.

He just scored 30 points against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday and had a 22-point, 22-rebound outing against the Utah Jazz the game before that.

I want to tap into his abilities as a scorer tonight, on what feels like a very light line against a depleted Sixers squad.

-> Bet on Duren to dominate the Sixers at NorthStar Bets

With Embiid likely out (he hasn’t played on no rest since January 2024), Philly’s frontcourt is lacking size. Paul George and Dominick Barlow are also out, so it’ll mainly be 32-year-old Andre Drummond defending Duren.

Centres have eaten the 76ers alive this year, scoring the sixth-most PPG (25.35), per Fantasy Pros.

Key stat: Duren has 20+ points in four of his last five games.

Today’s best NBA prop bets

Edgecombe under 20.5 points and rebounds (-118): I faded Edgecombe on this exact market yesterday against the Toronto Raptors, and it came through.

The rookie guard finished with 11 points and seven rebounds in 36 minutes, extending his November shooting woes (four games):

  • 11.5 PPG
  • 34.0 FG%
  • 22.2 3PT%

I anticipated Jared McCain to be heavily used yesterday, but he was a DNP coach’s decision from Nick Nurse. That means he should get plenty of run tonight, with Embiid sitting out the back-to-back.

-> Fade Edgecombe against Detroit

Edgecombe is getting lots of run for a rookie, so it would make sense for Nurse to pull back a bit, given his shooting struggles and McCain’s return.

On top of that, the Pistons allow the 12th-fewest PPG to opposing SGs.

Simons 3+ threes (+110): There’s a lot to like about Simons at this price.

No team shot more 3s than the Celtics last year, so Simons was a no-brainer addition after Jayson Tatum went down with an injury.

The shooting guard averaged 3.2 threes on 38.1% shooting over his last four years with the Portland Trail Blazers. And he’s been lighting it up with Boston so far:

  • Simons is averaging 2.8 threes on 7.2 attempts per game (38.9%).
  • He has cleared this mark in five of his last seven games.

The Orlando Magic, Simons’ opponent tonight, rank 20th in 3-point defence. Boston just played Orlando on Friday, and Simons went 3-for-6 from deep.

Suns vs. Clippers SGP predictions Nov. 8: Back Harden and fade Beal in +310 wager

Suns vs. Clippers SGP

The Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers close out Saturday’s NBA slate with the second leg of their home-and-home.

The pregame narrative: Phoenix beat L.A. in the desert on Thursday, but is a slim, 5-point road underdog tonight. Kawhi Leonard remains out for the Clippers, while Jalen Green looks to build off a solid season debut for the Suns.

Check out my Suns vs. Clippers SGP predictions for Nov. 8, featuring James Harden and Bradley Beal.

-> Join NorthStar Bets to start betting on the NBA

Suns vs. Clippers SGP

Parlay: Suns +6.5 | Harden 3+ threes | Beal under 1.5 threes (+310)

Suns +6.5 (-141): I like Phoenix’s chances of winning this game outright.

Los Angeles is a solid home team, but it is missing its star player. In the last two games without Kawhi, the Clippers are 0-2 while averaging just 104.5 PPG.

Last year, L.A. managed to succeed in Leonard’s absence thanks to the elite scoring of Norman Powell and a deep bench.

But Powell is gone, the Clippers’ bench ranks 18th in FG%, and there isn’t much to like about the big acquisition of Beal so far (more on that later).

-> Bet on NBA futures at NorthStar Bets

Phoenix obviously took a step back with Kevin Durant moving on, but Jalen Green should be a solid Robin to Devin Booker’s Batman.

The 2021 No. 2 overall pick scored 29 points on 50.0% shooting in his Suns debut against the Clippers on Thursday.

Embed: #120773

NBA SGP legs

Beal under 1.5 threes (-177): Losing Durant was a blow for Phoenix, but losing Beal might end up being addition by subtraction.

The veteran guard can never stay healthy, and is really struggling to produce while on a minutes restriction for the Clippers.

Beal is averaging 7.4 points on 35.9% shooting while playing 20-odd minutes a night.

He’s gone under 1.5 threes in four of five games, and went 1-for-5 from deep against the Suns on Thursday. The Clippers were -23 with him on the court in that game.

Phoenix is allowing the eighth-fewest 3s per game to opposing shooting guards, per Fantasy Pros.

-> Bet on James Harden on Saturday night

Harden 3+ threes (-186): Harden is one player on L.A. who can light it up from deep.

  • The Beard is averaging 3.6 threes on 8.6 attempts per game (41.7%).
  • He has drained four-plus 3s in three straight games.
  • Harden also averaged 3.0 threes last year with L.A. (35.2% shooting).

The point guard has played 38-plus minutes in every non-blowout game for L.A. this year. I expect Phoenix to keep this close, but not run away with things.

That should mean Harden will get enough opportunities to clear this total. He hit five 3s against Phoenix on Oct. 24.

Raptors vs. 76ers prop picks Nov. 8: Fade VJ Edgecombe and back RJ Barrett

Raptors vs. 76ers prop picks

The Toronto Raptors and Philadelphia 76ers begin their season series on Saturday night, with the former looking for a fifth straight win.

The latest: Toronto followed up its four-game losing streak with a four-game winning streak, but is still a 5-point road underdog in Philadelphia. The Sixers are getting superb play out of Tyrese Maxey, who is leading the league in scoring while Joel Embiid is on a minutes restriction.

Check out these Raptors vs. 76ers prop picks for the game on Nov. 8, featuring VJ Edgecombe and RJ Barrett.

Raptors vs. 76ers prop picks

Best bet: Edgecombe under 19.5 points and rebounds (-107)

Edgecombe is living up to the hype as the No. 3 overall pick.

The Baylor Bears product is averaging 17.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists so far — well above this number. But I think he’s worth fading tonight for a few reasons.

  • Opportunity: Edgecombe averaged 40.2 minutes per game in October with Jared McCain sidelined. The guard returned on Tuesday and should eat into his playing time. Joel Embiid also logged season-highs in minutes (26) and FGA (21) his last time out.
  • Form: The rookie averaged 21.2 PPG on 49.4% shooting in October (4-1 vs. this line) and is averaging 11.7 PPG on 34.2% shooting in November (1-2 vs. this line).
  • Opponent: Toronto allows the second-fewest PPG to opposing shooting guards, per Fantasy Pros.

-> Full Raptors vs. 76ers props at NorthStar Bets

Edgecombe should still get a solid amount of run, but I expect Nick Nurse to pull his minutes back in favour of McCain, who was a rookie of the year candidate last season before getting injured.

Expect a quiet night out of the top pick in a tough matchup.

Key stat: Edgecombe is just 7-for-26 from the floor in his last two games (26.9%).

-> Wager on Saturday’s loaded eight-game NBA slate

RJ Barrett prop bet

Barrett 20+ points (-130): There are a lot of mouths to feed on Toronto’s offence, but Barrett has been consistent across the board.

  • 12+ FGA in eight of nine games
  • 50.0% or better shooting in seven of nine games
  • 20+ PPG in six of nine games (19 points in one of the outliers)

-> Bet on RJ Barrett here!

The third-year Raptor is going to get his shots up, and right now, they’re falling.

Barrett has done a ton of damage at the rim (37% of shots) and in the short mid-range (28% of shots), areas Philadelphia struggles to defend.

The Sixers have the fifth-worst rim defence (72.5%) in the NBA, per Cleaning the Glass.

NBA prop picks Nov. 8

Two of the game’s most electrifying big men, Nikola Jokic and Victor Wembanyama, headline Saturday’s NBA prop bets.

And, most importantly for this wager, his production doesn’t dip when playing a second game in a row — in fact, it improves. Check out his numbers from last season:

  • No rest (12 GP): 33.9 PPG, 69.7 TS%, 32.3% usage rate
  • 1 day rest (41 GP): 28.5 PPG, 64.4 TS%, 29.5% usage rate
  • 2 days rest (9 GP): 26.4 PPG, 69.3 TS%, 25.6% usage rate

The Denver Nuggets’ lead man takes a bigger role when his team is tired, and tonight should be no different.

-> Bet on Jokic to dominate the Pacers at NorthStar Bets

Jokic scored 25 points in 28 minutes yesterday on a hyper-efficient 12-of-15 shooting. That brought his November FG rate up to an absurd 69.1%.

Indiana is suffering a next-level NBA Finals hangover, starting the season 1-7 with the fourth-worst net rating (-8.3) in the league.

The Pacers have been ravaged by injuries, to be fair, but I doubt Jokic cares about that.

Key stat: Jokic is averaging 31.0 PPG this month.

Today’s best NBA prop bets

Wembanyama over 11.5 rebounds (-118): Wembanyama came out of the gates flying, averaging 30.2 points and 14.6 rebounds through five games in October.

November hasn’t been as pretty (16.7 PPG, 8.3 RPG, 0-3 vs. this line), but he should bounce back tonight.

-> Bet on Wembanyama to clear his rebounding total

The French phenom is still playing big minutes and has a size advantage unlike anyone in basketball. Standing at 7-foot-4, he should decimate a Pelicans front court missing Zion Williamson and Yves Missi.

New Orleans ranks 29th in rebounding rate (47.1%) so far.

LaRavia 2+ threes (-108): Austin Reaves and Gabe Vincent are out tonight, meaning LaRavia will step into the starting shooting guard position.

The 24-year-old is shooting 40.6% from deep this year, and is playing a healthy 36.3 minutes per game this month.

LaRavia and the Lakers take on an Atlanta Hawks team with the second-best 3-point defence in basketball. This isn’t an easy matchup, but I’m banking on opportunities.

Luka Doncic has taken 11 threes in consecutive games and should stretch the floor for LaRavia.
