Every NFL team is in action for the first time since Week 4.
The latest: No team is on a bye or overseas this weekend, leaving us a jam-packed 14-game slate on Sunday. Six of those games have spreads of a touchdown or more, led by the Detroit Lions, who are 11-point favourites over the Tennessee Titans.

Thursday Night Football pick
Vikings vs. Rams (Thursday, Oct. 24: 8:25 p.m.)
Embed: #98151
NorthStar Bets line: Minnesota -3
Horrobin says: Cooper Kupp’s return is exciting for the Rams, but I don’t expect it to make enough of a difference on the scoreboard. Minnesota is 5-1 ATS and overall (with the lone blemish coming against the stellar Lions last week), and it ranks No. 6 scoring on both sides of the ball. L.A. is 1-4 ATS as an underdog.
Pick: Vikings -3
NFL Week 7 ATS picks: The early Sunday slate
Cardinals vs. Dolphins (Sunday, Oct. 27: 1 p.m.)
Embed: #98160
NorthStar Bets line: Miami -3.5
Perri says: Tua Tagovailoa is back under centre … is that enough for the Dolphins to snap out of their funk? I think so, especially against a Cardinals secondary which allows the seventh-most receiving yards per game. Miami’s defence has also been quietly impressive, ranking seventh in EPA per play.
Pick: Dolphins -3.5
Falcons vs. Buccaneers (Sunday, Oct. 27: 1 p.m.)
Embed: #98158
NorthStar Bets line: Atlanta -2.5
Closs says: Tampa Bay’s defence isn’t getting any stronger and its offence sure took a hit. The Buccaneers lost Chris Godwin and Mike Evans in Week 7 and will be without both for at least a few weeks. Atlanta has the better defence, too, so I like it to win by a field goal over the short-handed Bucs.
Pick: Falcons -2.5
Ravens vs. Browns (Sunday, Oct. 27: 1 p.m.)
Embed: #98152
NorthStar Bets line: Baltimore -8.5
Toman says: Baltimore has won five straight, but covered this number twice. And just barely last week after giving up 21 fourth-quarter points to Tampa Bay. There’s not much to like about the Browns but their quarterback play can’t be any worse without Deshaun Watson. Cleveland also has Nick Chubb back, and the squad has covered this spread in four of its six losses.
Pick: Browns +8.5
Packers vs. Jaguars (Sunday, Oct. 27: 1 p.m.)
Embed: #98156
NorthStar Bets line: Green Bay -4
Horrobin says: Will the Jaguars be sluggish after spending two weeks across the pond? I think it’s possible. Either way, they’re in a tough spot against a Green Bay squad that earned a resume-building win over Houston in Week 7. The Packers’ average victory margin is 6.2 points and they’ve covered this number in back-to-back road games.
Pick: Packers -4
Colts vs. Texans (Sunday, Oct. 27: 1 p.m.)
Embed: #98155
NorthStar Bets line: Houston -5
Horrobin says: Let it be known that Jonathan Taylor’s status is crucial to this pick. He’s torched the Texans in their past five matchups, averaging 5.6 yards/rush with seven TDs. Indy also tends to play Houston close, covering this number in 10 straight head-to-head meetings. Also, the Colts are a league-best 6-1 ATS on the year.
Pick: Colts +5
Jets vs. Patriots (Sunday, Oct. 27: 1 p.m.)
Embed: #98159
NorthStar Bets line: New York -7
Horrobin says: New England is a tough team to put your faith in right now, but so is New York. The Jets have lost four in a row — straight up and ATS — and they’ve lost or pushed against this number in all four road games this year. New York did win this head-to-head matchup in Week 3, but Drake Maye was still holding a clipboard at that point.
Pick: Patriots +7
Eagles vs. Bengals (Sunday, Oct. 27: 1 p.m.)
Embed: #98161
NorthStar Bets line: Philadelphia +2.5
Toman says: Cincinnati’s defence is suddenly healthy and has responded by surrendering a total of 21 points in the last two weeks. But those games came against two offensively challenged teams (Browns, Giants). The Eagles represent quite a step above both, and Jalen Hurts has his full arsenal of offensive weapons available. Back Philadelphia, which is coming off its best game of the season.
Pick: Eagles +2.5
Titans vs. Lions (Sunday, Oct. 27: 1 p.m.)
Embed: #98157
NorthStar Bets line: Detroit -11
Perri says: This is a huge number but I can’t bet against the Lions right now. Detroit just picked up a tight road win against a good Vikings team one week after blowing out the Cowboys 47-9 in Dallas. Tennesee, meanwhile, is 1-5 while averaging the seventh-fewest points per game. Don’t overthink it.
Pick: Lions -11
NFL 4 p.m. slate
Bills vs. Seahawks (Sunday, Oct. 27: 4:05 p.m.)
Embed: #98162
NorthStar Bets line: Buffalo -3
Perri says: It’s hard to get a handle on which version of either team we’ll see, so I’ll bank points with the home side. The Bills have only beaten bad teams this year with embarrassing road losses to the Ravens and Texans. Josh Allen is playing solid football but so is Geno Smith, I expect Seattle’s offence to keep the pace.
Pick: Seahawks +3
Saints vs. Chargers (Sunday, Oct. 27: 4:05 p.m.)
Embed: #98163
NorthStar Bets line: Los Angeles -7
Perri says: Backing the Saints in any capacity is ugly but I can’t trust the Chargers’ offence to cover this number. Los Angeles has the second-fewest red zone scoring attempts per game (2.2) and the third-worst red zone conversion rate (38.46%). Jim Harbaugh’s team is 0-3-1 against this number in the last four games.
Pick: Saints +7

Panthers vs. Broncos (Sunday, Oct. 27: 4:25 p.m.)
Embed: #98166
NorthStar Bets line: Denver -10
Horrobin says: You could argue that the Broncos shouldn’t be double-digit favourites against anybody … but have you seen the 2024 Panthers? All six of their losses have come by 10-plus points, and their -133 point differential is almost twice as bad as any other team. Denver has extra rest after a blowout TNF win in New Orleans in Week 7 and should add to its commendable 5-2 ATS record.
Pick: Broncos -10
Bears vs. Commanders (Sunday, Oct. 27: 4:25 p.m.)
Embed: #98164
NorthStar Bets line: Chicago -2.5
Closs says: Daniels hasn’t practiced yet this week and the clock is ticking. Chicago allows the eighth-fewest yards (314.0) and fourth-fewest points (16.8) per game. Caleb Williams has seven TD passes and one interception over his last seven games. Even if the Commanders’ rookie is available, I still like the red-hot Bears on Sunday.
Pick: Bears -2.5
Chiefs vs. Raiders (Sunday, Oct. 27: 4:25 p.m.)
Embed: #98165
NorthStar Bets line: Kansas City -10
Horrobin says: The Raiders lost at home to the Panthers this year, and I feel like that is enough of an argument to fade them. But I’ll keep going. KC is 11-1 ATS in its last 12 games dating back to last season and is coming off a 10-point road win over the reigning NFC champs. The Chiefs are also 4-1 ATS in their past five road games against the Raiders.
Pick: Chiefs -10
Cowboys vs. 49ers (Sunday, Oct. 27: 8:20 p.m.)
Embed: #98167
NorthStar Bets line: San Francisco -4
Perri says: Dallas got thrashed when we last saw it take the field but I’m calling for a bounceback. San Francisco’s offence is decimated with key players like Deebo Samuel and George Kittle questionable and Brandon Aiyuk and Christian McCaffrey out. Mike McCarthy-led teams are 12-5 straight up after the bye (3-1 with Dallas).
Pick: Cowboys +4
Sunday and Monday night NFL ATS picks
Giants vs. Steelers (Monday, Oct. 28: 8:15 p.m.)
Embed: #98168
NorthStar Bets line: Pittsburgh -6
Perri says: Mike Tomlin put his neck on the line by naming Russell Wilson his Week 7 starter against the Jets — and it worked. Russ was cooking in a 37-15 win where the Steelers amassed 409 yards of total offence. Now they host a Giants team in flux with Daniel Jones at the helm. Even if Pittsburgh’s offence regresses its defence should ruin Jones’ night.
Pick: Steelers -6
Staff Week 7 + season-long records: Toman: 8-7 (54-48-5) | Closs: 9-6 (53-49-5) | Psihogios: 8-7 (47-55-5) | Horrobin: 6-9 (44-58-5) | Perri: 7-8 (43-59-5)
