With only two teams on bye, we’re set for a 13-game slate this Sunday.

Some big matchups dominate the 4 p.m. hour, highlighted by a battle between the NFC North’s best. The Lions (6-1) visit the Packers (6-2) at Lambeau Field. Then on Monday, the 7-0 Chiefs look to extend their undefeated streak when they take on the Buccaneers at Arrowhead.

NFL betting guide: Week 9

There are several large underdogs on the board this Sunday.

Below, you’ll find moneyline recommendations on two of them. But before we get to that, let’s touch on what lies ahead this weekend.

The big Lions/Packers clash is probably the standout game, but Week 9 is not short on storylines.

Those two plus Kansas City all have winning streaks of at least four games. And the Bills and Eagles are trying to join them, entering Sunday on three-game win streaks.

Every NFC West team is 4-4 except the Rams (3-4), who have won two straight and face the divisional rival Seahawks.

The season has reached the halfway point, so the pressure is mounting for disappointing teams like the Bengals (3-5) to turn things around.

Here are some quick betting notes from the slate:

Parlay picks: This +320 parlay features three legs, including Joe Burrow and the Bengals to cover a 6.5-point spread. Cincinnati has covered this number in all three of its wins ahead of Sunday’s clash with the Raiders (4-4 ATS).

Prop picks: Three receivers make up Horrobin’s top prop recommendations. One of them is Eagles wideout A.J. Brown, who has reeled off three straight games of 80-plus receiving yards since returning from injury.

Dolphins vs. Bills same-game parlay: Tua Tagovailoa is back for a huge divisional clash against the Bills. The last time these teams met (Week 2), Tagovailoa was concussed and Miami was blown out. This +425 SGP features a moneyline pick and two player props.

SNF and MNF predictions

Colts vs. Vikings same-game parlay: Stevie Psihogios expects Minnesota to bounce back after a pair of losses. Aaron Jones is primed to lead the offensive charge in a game that should feature plenty of points.

By the end of this week, the NFL regular season will be half over.

The latest: It’s too early to give the standings a serious look, but the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers play a critical NFC North clash at Lambeau Field this Sunday. On Monday Night Football, the Kansas City Chiefs look to preserve their unbeaten record against the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Texans vs. Jets (Thursday, Oct. 24: 8:15 p.m.)

NorthStar Bets line: New York -2
Perri says: It’s Halloween and the Jets’ season has been a horror show but I think they get the job done against a shorthanded Texans squad. Stefon Diggs and Nico Collins are out which should exacerbate C.J. Stroud’s struggles away from home (5-6 record, 90.5 passer rating). As long as Aaron Rodgers takes care of the ball, New York should get a much-needed win.
Pick: Jets -2

NFL Week 9 ATS picks: The early Sunday slate

Cowboys vs. Falcons (Sunday, Nov. 3: 1 p.m.)

NorthStar Bets line: Atlanta -3
Closs says: Atlanta’s defence has taken a turn for the worst. It has allowed an average of 27.5 points over the last four weeks, making it hard to back this team ATS. The Cowboys haven’t been any better on the defensive side but have already faced elite offences like the 49ers, Lions and Ravens. I suspect a shootout in Atlanta and that favours the underdog, in my opinion.
Pick: Cowboys +3

Broncos vs. Ravens (Sunday, Nov. 3: 1 p.m.)

NorthStar Bets line: Baltimore -9
Horrobin says: Denver is 6-2 ATS this year and has covered a +9 spread in every game. Baltimore is 0-2-1 ATS when favoured by at least a touchdown, which includes an outright loss to the Browns last week. The Ravens have struggled to close out games, which is odd considering their lethal rush attack. I have to back the Broncos with this many points.

Raiders vs. Bengals (Sunday, Nov. 3: 1 p.m.)

NorthStar Bets line: Cincinnati -7
Perri says: This is a must-win game for Cincinnati (3-5) and I say it makes a statement. Las Vegas has lost four straight games and three of those have come by seven-plus points. Joe Burrow is balling out despite the rest of his team’s shortcomings and he should torch a Raiders defence allowing 28.3 PPG during their losing streak.
Pick: Bengals -7

Chargers vs. Browns (Sunday, Nov. 3: 1 p.m.)

NorthStar Bets line: Los Angeles -1.5
Closs says: DeShaun Watson was the problem and Jameis Winston is the solution? It seems crazy but Winston started in place of the injured Watson and led Cleveland to a 29-24 win over the Ravens in Week 8. He threw for 334 yards, three TDs and no interceptions. The Chargers are a run-heavy offence but only average 117.1 ground yards per game (20th). That safe yet ineffective approach shouldn’t work against the new-look Browns.
Pick: Browns +1.5

Dolphins vs. Bills (Sunday, Nov. 3: 1 p.m.)

NorthStar Bets line: Buffalo -6
Perri says: Tua Tagovailoa is back but he also looked horrible against the Bills in Week 2 before exiting early with a concussion. The QB threw three interceptions in a 31-10 loss and is now 1-7 against his AFC East rival with a 74.1 passer rating. Buffalo is rolling right now and has covered this line in three straight games against Miami.
Pick: Bills -6

Patriots vs. Titans (Sunday, Nov. 3: 1 p.m.)

NorthStar Bets line: Tennessee -3.5
Horrobin says: New England has a terrible ATS record (2-5-1), but Tennessee (1-6) is worse. The Titans’ only win this year came against Tyler Huntley’s Miami Dolphins, so I don’t think they should be favoured against anyone. I’ll feel better if Drake Maye is available to play, but I think this is more than doable with Jacoby Brissett, too.
Pick: Patriots +3.5

Saints vs. Panthers (Sunday, Nov. 3: 1 p.m.)

NorthStar Bets line: New Orleans -7
Horrobin says: Derek Carr is back, which significantly raises the floor and ceiling for a Saints offence that was floundering under Spencer Rattler and Jake Haener. The Carr-led Saints dusted the Panthers, 47-10, in the season opener after beating them by a combined score of 48-23 last season. Carolina is 1-7 ATS, and all seven of its losses came by 10-plus points.
Pick: Saints -7

Commanders vs. Giants (Sunday, Nov. 3: 1 p.m.)

NorthStar Bets line: Washington -4
Closs says: The Giants’ defence has been solid but is particularly weak against the run. The unit allows the most yards per carry (5.4) and New York’s offence scores the second-fewest points per game (14.6). That smells like trouble versus a Washington side that rushes for 165.8 yards on average while scoring 29.5 points per game. Jayden Daniels and the Comanders should be too much for the Giants to handle.
Pick: Commanders -4

NFL 4 p.m. slate

Bears vs. Cardinals (Sunday, Nov. 3: 4:05 p.m.)

NorthStar Bets line: Arizona -1.5
Horrobin says: Caleb Williams struggled mightily last week, but Chicago was still positioned to win in Washington before failing to defend a Hail Mary. I think Williams will bounce back this week against the Cardinals, who have the No. 27 total defence in the NFL. Arizona has a -52 point differential in its past six games.
Pick: Bears +1.5

Jaguars vs. Eagles (Sunday, Nov. 3: 4:05 p.m.)

NorthStar Bets line: Philadelphia -7.5
Perri says: Jacksonville is playing better than its 2-6 record would suggest. The squad is 2-3 over its last five games with one-score losses to the Packers and Texans (it is also 6-2 against this line). Philly has beaten up on some bad teams but Trevor Lawrence is hitting his stride and I like him to keep this one close.
Pick: Jaguars +7.5

Make your NFL Week 9 predictions

Lions vs. Packers (Sunday, Nov. 3: 4:25 p.m.)

NorthStar Bets line: Detroit -3
Toman says: Two of the NFC’s hottest teams collide in a huge divisional battle. Both teams are doing a lot of things well but the Lions enter in better health at some key offensive positions. Detroit has only lost once — by four points back to a then-healthy Bucs team in Week 2 — and has won two of its last three games by more than 30 points. Don’t expect that here, but take the 6-1 ATS team to cover.
Pick: Lions -3

Rams vs. Seahawks (Sunday, Nov. 3: 4:25 p.m.)

NorthStar Bets line: Los Angeles -1.5
Horrobin says: Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua returned last week and that made a world of difference for L.A. I feel good about backing the Rams in what is nearly a pick’em against a Seahawks team they beat twice last year. Seattle is just 1-4 ATS at home so far this season.
Pick: Rams -1.5

Colts vs. Vikings (Sunday, Nov. 3: 8:15 p.m.)

NorthStar Bets line: Minnesota -5
Horrobin says: Despite truly terrible quarterback play from Anthony Richardson last week, the Colts hung around in Houston to move to 7-1 ATS on the year. Now Joe Flacco is back under centre, and his 7:1 TD-to-INT ratio tells me the Colts should be a tough out again. Minnesota has suffered back-to-back ATS losses and has failed to cover this number in three of its past four.
Pick: Colts +5

Buccaneers vs. Chiefs (Monday, Nov. 4: 8:15 p.m.)

NorthStar Bets line: Kansas City -8.5
Toman says: It’s a shame the Bucs are down their top two receivers (Chris Godwin, Mike Evans) because they were playing good football with their sights set on an NFC South title. They played tough in their first game without the pair but this week’s task is daunting against the undefeated Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. I don’t expect Tampa’s injured-riddled offence to get much going against Kansas City.
Pick: Chiefs -8.5
