NFL Week 16 ATS staff picks: Predictions against the spread for every game

NFL Week 16 ATS picks

We’re approaching the NFL’s home stretch with just three weeks left in the regular season.

The latest: Half of the playoff spots are clinched and several games this weekend have big implications on who gets in and who stays out. Matchups like Broncos vs. Chargers, Texans vs. Chiefs, Eagles vs. Commanders, Vikings vs. Seahawks, and 49ers vs Dolphins all have spreads of four points or fewer.

Check out our NFL Week 16 ATS picks for predictions on every game.

Thursday Night Football pick

Broncos vs. Chargers (Thursday, Dec. 12: 8:15 p.m.)

Embed: #103938

NorthStar Bets line: Los Angeles -2.5
Perri says: Los Angeles’ offence has fallen off a cliff without J.K. Dobbins. The squad has scored just 17 points in three straight games while averaging 60.6 rushing yards. Denver has won four straight while averaging 34.8 points and is a league-best 11-3 ATS.
Pick: Broncos +2.5

Saturday slate

Texans vs. Chiefs (Saturday, Dec. 14: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #103939

NorthStar Bets line: Kansas City -3.5
Closs says: Houston is 4-3 on the road but that needs a deeper dive. All four of those wins came against teams currently under .500. On the other hand, the Chiefs are 7-0 at home and still fighting for the top seed in the AFC. Kansas City’s defence is elite, allowing the fifth-fewest points per game (18.5). Patrick Mahomes has been a full participant in practice and I can’t see the Texans causing an issue for the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
Pick: Chiefs -3.5

Steelers vs. Ravens (Saturday, Dec. 14: 4:30 p.m.)

Embed: #103940

NorthStar Bets line: Baltimore -6.5
Perri says: Pittsburgh has dominated this rivalry recently, winning eight of the last nine meetings against Baltimore. That’s mainly because Lamar Jackson hasn’t figured out Mike Tomlin’s defence. He has a 66.7 passer rating and a 5:8 TD-to-INT ratio in five starts against the Steelers. I’ll take the Steelers to cover as a road underdog on Saturday.
Pick: Steelers +6.5

NFL Week 16 ATS picks: The early Sunday slate

Cardinals vs. Panthers (Sunday, Dec. 15: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #103946

NorthStar Bets line: Arizona -4.5
Horrobin says: The Panthers’ one-week experiment as favourites was a crash out, resulting in a 16-point home loss to the Cowboys. Maybe we don’t do that again. The Cardinals are 6-2 ATS in their past eight games and still have a ton to play for. I’ll side with Arizona against a Carolina squad that owns a -69 point differential in eight home matchups.
Pick: Cardinals -4.5

Browns vs. Bengals (Sunday, Dec. 15: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #103941

NorthStar Bets line: Cincinnati -7.5
Horrobin says: Cincinnati’s playoff hopes are hanging by a thread, but one way or another, I think this one will be therapeutic. Cleveland scored a grand total of 28 points across Dorian Thompson-Robinson’s three starts last year, while Cincy has averaged 28.5 points per game on the season. The Browns are 1-5 ATS on the road since Week 4.
Pick: Bengals -7.5

Lions vs. Bears (Sunday, Dec. 15: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #103944

NorthStar Bets line: Detroit -6.5
Horrobin says: Chicago has lost eight in a row, but the team has put up a fight on home soil all year. At Soldier Field, the Bears are 4-1-1 ATS, with an outright win over the Rams and a near miss against the Packers. Detroit, the most injury-ravaged team in the league, is on a three-game ATS losing streak that began with a 23-20 home win over Chicago on Thanksgiving.
Pick: Bears +6.5

Rams vs. Jets (Sunday, Dec. 15: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #103948

NorthStar Bets line: Los Angeles -3.5
Horrobin says: Los Angeles looks like a dangerous team these days, rolling up a 6-2 record (SU and ATS) since late October. The Rams have wins over the Bills, Vikings and Seahawks in that span. As for the Jets, a last-minute win over the Jaguars won’t win me over. New York is just 3-8 ATS since Week 4.
Pick: Rams -3.5

Giants vs. Falcons (Sunday, Dec. 15: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #103942

NorthStar Bets line: Atlanta -8.5
Perri says: It’s Michael Penix Jr. time in Atlanta. The No. 8 overall pick gets a soft landing spot against a Giants team on a nine-game losing skid (1-8 ATS). New York averages the fewest points per game (14.9) and I think Penix can unlock Atlanta’s offensive potential in a cupcake matchup.
Pick: Falcons -8.5

Eagles vs. Commanders (Sunday, Dec. 15: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #103947

NorthStar Bets Line: Philadelphia -3.5
Perri says: The Eagles have won 10 straight games since their Week 5 bye, covering the spread in seven of those contests. That includes a 26-18 win over the Commanders in Philadelphia. For as good as Jayden Daniels has been, he’s still a rookie. I expect Philly’s elite defence to give him trouble.
Pick: Eagles -3.5

Titans vs. Colts (Sunday, Dec. 15: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #103945

NorthStar Bets line: Indianapolis -3.5
Toman says: The Colts basically handed their playoff hopes away with a brutal fourth quarter last week, getting outscored 21-0. It’s an ugly way to go down after treading water in a weak AFC South. This Sunday, they’ll face the bottom of the division and I like them to rebound against the worst ATS team in the NFL.
Pick: Colts -3.5

NFL 4 p.m. slate

Vikings vs. Seahawks (Sunday, Dec. 15: 4:05 p.m.)

Embed: #103949

NorthStar Bets line: Minnesota -3
Closs says: Since their Week 10 bye, the Seahawks are 4-1, with the sole loss coming against the Packers. In those five games, Seattle allowed an average of 18.4 points. Minnesota is 5-1 on the road but has wins over the Bears, Titans, Jaguars and Giants. The Vikings lost to the Rams away from home in Week 8 and I expect a similar result against the NFC West leader.
Pick: Seahawks +3

Jaguars vs. Raiders (Sunday, Dec. 15: 4:25 p.m.)

Embed: #103950

NorthStar Bets line: Las Vegas -1
Horrobin says: The last time Las Vegas won a game, the MLB regular season was still underway. I cannot in good faith back the Raiders to win, especially against a Jacksonville team that at least has shown a bit of fight. The Jaguars are 5-2-1 ATS in their past eight games.
Pick: Jaguars +1

Make your NFL Week 16 predictions

Patriots vs. Bills (Sunday, Dec. 15: 4:25 p.m.)

Embed: #103943

NorthStar Bets line: Buffalo -14
Closs says: How can anyone bet against the Bills right now? Buffalo is a perfect 6-0 at home and has covered this lofty spread in three of those wins. Additionally, the Patriots are 2-6 on the road with an abysmal -67 point differential. Five of their six losses away from home were by a double-digit margin and I feel good about the Bills adding to that.
Pick: Bills -14

49ers vs. Dolphins (Sunday, Dec. 15: 4:25 p.m.)

Embed: #103951

NorthStar Bets line: Miami -1
Closs says: The 49ers have not been good. They are 1-4 over their last five with the win coming against the miserable Bears. They lost by 20-plus points to the Bills and Packers and then failed to score more than six points against the Rams last week. Miami is 4-2 over its past six with the losses coming to the Packers (10-4) and the Texans (9-5). I believe the Phins are a step ahead with Tua Tagovailoa under centre.
Pick: Dolphins -1

Sunday and Monday Night NFL ATS picks

Buccaneers vs. Cowboys (Sunday, Dec. 15: 8:20 p.m.)

Embed: #103952

NorthStar Bets line: Tampa Bay -4
Horrobin says: Fresh off a blowout win over the Chargers, the Buccaneers are now 5-2 ATS as visitors. The Cowboys, meanwhile, are 1-6 ATS as hosts. Each of Dallas’ past six losses came by at least six points, while Tampa Bay has a +64 point differential during an active four-game winning streak.
Pick: Buccaneers -4

Saints vs. Packers (Monday, Dec. 16: 8:15 p.m.)

Embed: #103953

NorthStar Bets line: Green Bay -14.5
Horrobin says: It can be intimidating to lay this many points, but Green Bay has covered the number in three games since mid-October. A decisive win should be in the cards this week against New Orleans, a squad that is 2-4 ATS on the road and struggles to stop the run. The Saints’ defence ranks 30th in yards per carry and rushing success rate.
Pick: Packers -14.5

Staff Week 15 + season-long records: Toman: 9-7 (107-98-6) | Closs: 11-5 (107-98-6) | Psihogios: 9-7 (100-105-6) | Horrobin: 10-6 (100-105-6) | Perri: 13-3 (97-108-6)

NFL Week 15 betting guide: Props, parlays and best bet recommendations for the weekend

NFL betting guide

Another week, another NFL slate loaded with betting opportunities.

There are 13 games coming at you this Sunday, including five cross-conference matchups and multiple games with playoff implications.

Check out our Week 15 NFL betting guide, featuring staff picks and predictions to help you make the best wagers.

NFL betting guide: Week 15

This week’s lines suggest you may see some tight games in the early window. Five of the seven 1 p.m. ET games have spreads of five points or fewer.

  • Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs look to get one game closer to locking up the AFC’s No. 1 seed as they take on the Cleveland Browns.
  • Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins look to keep their playoff hopes alive against the Houston Texans.
  • The Washington Commanders try to hold onto that last wild-card spot in the NFC as they head to New Orleans to take on the Saints.

And then, a huge cross-conference showdown between two juggernauts kicks off at 4:25 p.m.

https://twitter.com/NFLonCBS/status/1867227853424619714

Josh Allen looks to solidify his MVP campaign with a win over the 12-1 Detroit Lions in what’s lined up to be a thriller.

Also in the late afternoon slate is America’s Game of the Week.

The AFC North-leading Pittsburgh Steelers take on the in-state rival Philadelphia Eagles. Pittsburgh will try to keep ground over the Baltimore Ravens, while Philadelphia seeks its 10th straight victory.

All of this before a SNF matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks closes things out.

Yeah… it’s going to be a busy one.

Here are some quick betting notes for Week 15:

  • Highest total: Bills vs. Lions (54.5)
  • Biggest spread: Ravens (-16) vs. Giants
  • Seven teams have odds of +185 or longer to win (Giants, Titans, Browns, Saints, Patriots, Steelers, Bears)

Lines and odds are listed as of 1:30 p.m. ET on Dec. 13.

Week 15 betting predictions

If you need a one-stop shop for spread bets, we have you covered.

Our NFL Week 15 ATS picks, via Avery Perri, Jordan Horrobin, Spencer Closs and Chris Toman, provide a recommendation against the spread for every game.

We have plenty of other picks, too.

Parlay picks: The Atlanta Falcons look to snap a four-game skid against one of the worst teams in the league. Christian Larsen likes them to win outright, along with the Houston Texans. The Indianapolis Colts also factor into this +283 parlay.

Upset picks: Closs is fading one AFC South squad as a favourite and backing another as an underdog.

TD picks: Perri is backing two All-Pro wide receivers alongside the Bengals’ No.2 receiver Tee Higgins, who’s starting to find his footing coming back from injury.

Prop picks: Chuba Hubbard, Justice Hill and Courtland Sutton are the subjects of this week’s NFL prop picks. Find out how Perri is backing them.

Bills vs. Lions prop picks: Allen is putting up video game-type numbers and our Steven Psihogios expects that to continue. He has two bets on the MVP frontrunner and one on David Montgomery.

Bills vs. Lions SGP picks: With two of the top-four teams in the Super Bowl futures market going at it, Horrobin expects the underdog to keep it close. Allen and Jameson Williams also factor into this +370 SGP.

Steelers vs. Eagles SGP picks: Horrobin cooked up another big one: a +525 ticket featuring a Jalen Hurts anytime TD. Hurts has rushed for at least one TD in all but one game since Week 6.

Packers vs. Seahawks prop picks: Two running backs, two prop bets. Perri is backing Zach Charbonnet and Josh Jacobs — one through the air and one on the ground.

Sunday and Monday Night Football predictions

Packers vs. Seahawks SGP picks: Larsen is backing the road team to pull out the victory in a tough environment. He also has plays on D.K. Metcalf and Noah Fant in this +375 ticket.

Packers vs. Seahawks prop picks: Perri expects the running backs to thrive in this contest. Zach Charbonnet and Josh Jacobs highlight his selections for this pivotal NFC showdown.

Bears vs. Vikings SGP picks: Justin Jefferson snapped a six-game scoring slump in Week 14 and Perri expects more touchdowns in Week 15. See how he’s betting on the superstar in this +375 ticket.

Falcons vs. Raiders SGP picks: Psihogios is fading offence for the most part. He’s taking the under on the game total and Kirk Cousins’ passing yards prop, but an over does round out his +360 SGP.

Thursday Night Football pick

Rams vs. 49ers (Thursday, Dec. 12: 8:15 p.m.)

Embed: #103157

NorthStar Bets line: San Francisco -2.5
Closs says: Are the 49ers back or did they just play an inconsistent Bears team? I’m not entirely sure but I cannot bet against the Rams right now. They are on a 6-2 run over their last eight games and the offence looks dynamic now that it’s healthy. San Francisco is 2-6 against above-.500 teams and 1-3 in divisional games.
Pick: Rams +2.5

NFL Week 15 ATS picks: The early Sunday slate

Ravens vs. Giants (Sunday, Dec. 15: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #103158

NorthStar Bets line: Baltimore -16
Perri says: This is a massive line, especially for a road team, but New York doesn’t stand a chance here. The Giants have lost eight straight games while averaging 12.3 points per game. Lamar Jackson is having an MVP-type season but the Ravens are 8-5 with a bunch of one-score losses. Coming off a bye, I expect Baltimore to leave no doubt against an awful opponent.
Pick: Ravens -16

Bengals vs. Titans (Sunday, Dec. 15: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #103159

NorthStar Bets line: Cincinnati -5
Perri says: It’s too late for the Bengals’ playoff hopes but I think they’ll finish the season strong. Cincinnati has averaged 33.4 points across the last five games with Joe Burrow throwing for 342.6 yards per game. The Titans, meanwhile, are one of the most unremarkable teams in football with a 2-11 ATS record. Don’t overthink this one.
Pick: Bengals -5

Cowboys vs. Panthers (Sunday, Dec. 15: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #103160

NorthStar Bets line: Carolina -3
Perri says: One word to describe the Panthers would be frisky. Carolina is 5-1 ATS since Bryce Young re-took the starting job, recently losing to the Chiefs, Eagles and Buccaneers by a combined 12 points. The Panthers haven’t been favoured all season but the Cowboys and Cooper Rush are a tire fire I want no part of.
Pick: Panthers -3

Chiefs vs. Browns (Sunday, Dec. 15: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #103161

NorthStar Bets line: Kansas City -4
Horrobin says: Kansas City has the best record in the NFL but is on a seven-game ATS losing streak. I’m still backing the Chiefs, though, given that they’ve covered this number in four of six road games. Cleveland beat Pittsburgh in a blizzard last month, but the Browns are still just 1-4 ATS in their past five games — with a -55 point differential in that span.
Pick: Chiefs -4

Dolphins vs. Texans (Sunday, Dec. 15: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #103162

NorthStar Bets line: Houston -3
Closs says: I really like the way Miami is playing right now. Tua Tagovailoa has the team on a 4-1 run, throwing 12 TDs and one interception over those five games. Meanwhile, Houston has been struggling, winning just one of its past seven games by more than three points. Give me the Dolphins on the road as they make a late-season push.
Pick: Dolphins +3

Jets vs. Jaguars (Sunday, Dec. 15: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #103163

NorthStar Bets Line: New York -3.5
Horrobin says: Neither of these 3-10 teams deserves to be favoured, and I want no part of laying points with the Jets. Aaron Rodgers’ spiralling squad is 1-9 in its past 10 games, going just 2-8 ATS in that span. The Jaguars are only 3-7 SU in their past 10, but at least they’ve gone 5-1-1 ATS since Week 7.
Pick: Jaguars +3.5

Commanders vs. Saints (Sunday, Dec. 15: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #103164

NorthStar Bets line: Washington -7.5
Horrobin says: Derek Carr likely won’t play for New Orleans, which is bad news for this pick. But the Commanders did allow 34 points to a Cooper Rush-led offence two weeks ago, so I’m not completely out on the Saints’ offensive chances. New Orleans has covered this spread in all four games under interim head coach Darren Rizzi, while Washington has covered it only once in its past six.
Pick: Saints +7.5

NFL 4 p.m. slate

Bills vs. Lions (Sunday, Dec. 15: 4:25 p.m.)

Embed: #103165

NorthStar Bets line: Detroit -2.5
Perri says: Buffalo has played four road games against respectable opponents (Ravens, Texans, Seahawks, Rams) and lost three of them. Josh Allen is on another planet right now but if there’s one team that can keep pace it’s the Lions. Detroit is averaging a league-best 32.1 PPG and has a +105 point differential at home.
Pick: Lions -2.5

Colts vs. Broncos (Sunday, Dec. 15: 4:25 p.m.)

Embed: #103166

NorthStar Bets line: Denver -4
Closs says: The Colts aren’t pretty to watch at times but they find a way to be competitive. Indianapolis has only lost by more than a touchdown three times against the league’s elite teams (Bills, Lions, Vikings). The Broncos won last week but gave up 497 yards and 32 points to Jameis Winston and the Browns. I may look like a fool in the end but I believe cracks are forming in Denver’s foundation.
Pick: Colts +4

Make your NFL Week 15 predictions

Patriots vs. Cardinals (Sunday, Dec. 15: 4:25 p.m.)

Embed: #103169

NorthStar Bets line: Arizona -6
Toman says: This is a big number for the Cardinals, who enter on a three-game skid and have only won by a TD or more in three of their six wins. That said, they’re the much stronger offensive team (the Patriots are scoring the second-fewest points in the NFL) and are still playing for something. Any playoff hopes begin with wins over the bottom-feeding Patriots and then Panthers in Week 16.
Pick: Cardinals -6

Steelers vs. Eagles (Sunday, Dec. 15: 4:25 p.m.)

Embed: #103167

NorthStar Bets line: Philadelphia -5
Perri says: Pittsburgh is a good team but Philadelphia is a cut above. The Eagles are averaging 28.4 points during their nine-game winning streak and have Saquon Barkley putting up MVP numbers. The Steelers’ rush defence has looked suspect lately — it is 26th in defensive EPA per rush since their Week 9 bye — and I expect the Eagles’ run game to be the difference.
Pick: Eagles -5

Buccaneers vs. Chargers (Sunday, Dec. 15: 4:25 p.m.)

Embed: #103170

NorthStar Bets line: Los Angeles -3
Closs says: Tampa Bay takes care of business when it should and has won three straight games against the Raiders, Panthers and Giants. But the story has been different against better teams. Before this run, the Bucs lost three straight to the 49ers, Chiefs and Ravens. I would group the Chargers with the second group as the 8-5 squad has covered this spread in every win.
Pick: Chargers -3

Sunday and Monday Night NFL ATS picks

Packers vs. Seahawks (Sunday, Dec. 15: 8:20 p.m.)

Embed: #103171

NorthStar Bets line: Green Bay -2.5
Toman says: Green Bay has lost twice since Week 4 and both times were to the NFC-best Lions. The Packers’ other two losses this season were by a combined seven points. They’ve been competitive in every outing, ranking top 10 in the NFL in points for and against per game. This is a tough road matchup versus the surging Seahawks but we’ve avoided the dreaded 3-point spread.
Pick: Packers -2.5

Bears vs. Vikings (Monday, Dec. 16: 8:00 p.m.)

Embed: #103172

NorthStar Bets line: Minnesota -7
Horrobin says: Chicago is an awful, awful road team. The Bears are 0-6 as visitors this year, with an 0-5-1 ATS record in those matchups. They haven’t beaten anybody since Week 6 and have scored 20 or fewer points in six of seven games since then. This should turn into a laugher for a Vikings team riding a six-game winning streak.
Pick: Vikings -7

Falcons vs. Raiders (Monday, Dec. 16: 8:30 p.m.)

Embed: #103173

NorthStar Bets line: Atlanta -4
Toman says: Atlanta is in the midst of an ugly stretch but this is about as soft as a bounce-back spot can be. Las Vegas has lost nine in a row and has the second-worst point differential (-125) in the NFL. Neither team has been good against the spread but the Falcons are very much still playing for a division title. I expect a big response after dropping four in a row, including last week by 21 points.
Pick: Falcons -4

Staff Week 14 + season-long records: Toman: 5-7-1 (98-91-6) | Closs: 5-7-1 (96-93-6) | Psihogios: 3-9-1 (91-98-6) | Horrobin: 5-7-1 (90-99-6) | Perri: 5-7-1 (84-105-6)

Prop picks: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Kirk Cousins and De’Von Achane are the subjects of this week’s NFL prop picks.

TD picks: Mike Evans is a TD-scoring machine and has a juicy matchup against the Raiders. He’s one of three players Perri has picked to find pay dirt.

Thursday Night Football pick

Packers vs. Lions (Thursday, Dec. 5: 8:15 p.m.)

Embed: #102544

NorthStar Bets line: Detroit -3.5
Horrobin says: Green Bay’s 10-point home loss against Detroit earlier this season was closer than the score indicated. The Packers outgained the Lions by 150 yards in that game and were on the wrong end of a pick-six in the final minute of the first half. Green Bay is 4-1 straight up on the road.
Pick: Packers +3.5

NFL Week 14 ATS picks: The early Sunday slate

Falcons vs. Vikings (Sunday, Dec. 8: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #102546

NorthStar Bets line: Minnesota -5.5
Perri says: Kirk Cousins put forth a disaster-class last weekend, throwing four interceptions in a 17-13 loss. But Atlanta still covered this number and is now 9-2 against it this season. The Vikings have won five straight one-score games with their last two coming by a combined four points. I think Cousins can come through against his old squad.
Pick: Falcons +5.5

Panthers vs. Eagles (Sunday, Dec. 8: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #102547

NorthStar Bets line: Philadelphia -12.5
Horrobin says: Carolina is on a four-game ATS win streak, and each spread was smaller than this. But Philadelphia is very capable of steamrolling its opposition. The Eagles have won their past seven games by an average of 15.4 points, and their league-best rushing offence should feast against the Panthers’ league-worst rushing defence.
Pick: Eagles -12.5

Browns vs. Steelers (Sunday, Dec. 8: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #102548

NorthStar Bets line: Pittsburgh -6.5
Perri says: Weird things happen when these teams meet. For example, Cleveland beat Pittsburgh 24-19 just a few weeks ago in a blizzard. The Browns have covered this number in four of their last five games against the Steelers and Jameis Winston can sling it. Cleveland is live to win this game if he can take care of the football.
Pick: Browns +6.5

Jaguars vs. Titans (Sunday, Dec. 8: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #102549

NorthStar Bets line: Tennessee -3.5
Perri says: Both of these teams are awful so I’ll just take the points with the home side. Jacksonville’s defence allows the most yards per game and ranks last in EPA per play. Mac Jones is under centre with Trevor Lawrence sidelined, and I can’t trust him. The Titans just got rocked by the Commanders but beat the Texans before that, which has to be worth something.
Pick: Titans -3.5

Raiders vs. Buccaneers (Sunday, Dec. 8: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #102550

NorthStar Bets line: Tampa Bay -6.5
Horrobin says: Las Vegas’ near-miss against the Chiefs last week feels like a prisoner-of-the-moment trap that I won’t fall into. The Raiders have failed to cover this spread in eight of 12 games this year, and they’ve lost eight in a row straight up. The Bucs are coming off a shaky road win against the Panthers, but I like them to straighten things out at home.
Pick: Buccaneers -6.5

Saints vs. Giants (Sunday, Dec. 8: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #102551

NorthStar Bets Line: New Orleans -4.5
Horrobin says: In a battle of two bad teams, New York is simply worse. The Giants are on a seven-game ATS losing streak, and they’ve failed to cover +4.5 in six of those games. Taysom Hill’s injury is a significant blow for the Saints, but Alvin Kamara is still the best offensive player in this matchup, and that’s who I’d prefer to hitch my wagon to.
Pick: Saints -4.5

Jets vs. Dolphins (Sunday, Dec. 8: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #102552

NorthStar Bets line: Miami -6
Horrobin says: The Aaron Rodgers comeback story hasn’t gone as planned, and no Netflix documentary is going to alter that sentiment. New York is 1-8 straight up and ATS in its past nine games, losing outright as the favourite in six of those. Miami has put up 31.7 points per game in three home matchups since Tua Tagovailoa returned.
Pick: Dolphins -6

NFL 4 p.m. slate

Seahawks vs. Cardinals (Sunday, Dec. 8: 4:05 p.m.)

Embed: #102553

NorthStar Bets line: Arizona -2.5
Perri says: Seattle has won three straight but is dealing with a laundry list of injuries. Now, it takes on a Cardinals team with a 4-2 home record (SU and ATS). Arizona has lost back-to-back games but nearly toppled the Vikings in Minnesota. I think Kyler Murray can get the job done with the division title in play.
Pick: Cardinals -2.5

Bills vs. Rams (Sunday, Dec. 8: 4:25 p.m.)

Embed: #102554

NorthStar Bets line: Buffalo -4
Perri says: Buffalo is rolling but I like Los Angeles to win this game outright. The Bills are 6-0 at home but 4-2 on the road with blowout losses to the Texans and Ravens. Sean McVay has the Rams playing exceptional ball, going 5-2 since the bye week. Josh Allen can put up points but Matthew Stafford and Co. are capable of keeping pace.
Pick: Rams +4

Make your NFL Week 14 predictions

Bears vs. 49ers (Sunday, Dec. 8: 4:25 p.m.)

Embed: #102555

NorthStar Bets line: San Francisco -4
Horrobin says: This is turning into quite a “What if” season for Chicago, a team that’s lost four of its past six games by a field goal or less. And the ousting of head coach Matt Eberflus has to be a net positive, right? San Francisco’s situation isn’t any rosier, with Christian McCaffrey on injured reserve and four straight ATS losses.
Pick: Bears +4

Sunday and Monday Night NFL ATS picks

Chargers vs. Chiefs (Sunday, Dec. 8: 8:20 p.m.)

Embed: #102556

NorthStar Bets line: Kansas City -4
Horrobin says: The Chiefs are 0-6 ATS since Week 7, which makes this pick a bit of a tough sell. But they did win by a touchdown in Los Angeles earlier this season and now face a Chargers squad that isn’t the same without J.K. Dobbins. Last week, the Chargers had just 187 total yards in Dobbins’ absence.
Pick: Chiefs -4

Bengals vs. Cowboys (Monday, Dec. 9: 8:15 p.m.)

Embed: #102557

NorthStar Bets line: Cincinnati -5.5
Perri says: Joe Burrow would probably be the MVP frontrunner if he had a defence. The QB leads the league in passing yards (3,337) and touchdowns (30) and has only thrown five interceptions. Cincy is averaging 35.0 PPG across its last four. Cooper Rush simply won’t be able to keep up with that.
Pick: Bengals -5.5

Staff Week 13 + season-long records: Toman: 7-9 (93-84-5) | Closs: 9-7 (91-86-5) | Psihogios: 9-7 (88-89-5) | Horrobin: 10-6 (85-92-5) | Perri: 6-10 (79-98-5)

NFL Week 13 betting guide: Props, parlays and best bet recommendations for the weekend

NFL betting guide

Another week, another NFL slate loaded with betting opportunities.

There are 11 games coming at you this Sunday, including three divisional matchups and a potential Super Bowl preview between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Baltimore Ravens.

Check out our Week 13 NFL betting guide, featuring staff picks and predictions to help you make the best wagers.

NFL betting guide: Week 13

This weeks opening lines are suggesting you may see some tight games in the early window. Six of the seven 1 p.m. games have 4-point spreads or less.

Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals look to keep their playoff hopes alive in a big AFC North showdown with the division-leading Pittsburgh Steelers.

At the same time, two teams in the NFC playoff picture go up against each other — the Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings currently hold the first wild-card spot, while the Cardinals are the first team on the outside looking in with the 8-seed.

The game of the week, however, kicks off at 4:25 p.m. as the Ravens host the Eagles.

This game features two premier running backs in the NFL. Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry are first and second, respectively, in rushing yards heading into Week 13.

A SNF matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Buffalo Bills closes things out.

Buffalo has won six straight games and is steamrolling teams. San Francisco, meanwhile, is struggling to gain any momentum and finds itself last in the NFC West (5-6).

Here are some quick betting notes for Week 13:

  • Highest total: Eagles vs. Ravens (51)
  • Biggest spread: 49ers vs. Bills (-7)
  • Four teams have odds of +200 or longer to win (Raiders, Titans, Panthers, 49ers)

Lines and odds are listed as of 4 p.m. ET on Nov. 29.

Week 13 betting predictions

If you need a one-stop shop for spread bets, we have you covered.

Our NFL Week 13 ATS picks, via Avery Perri, Jordan Horrobin, Spencer Closs and Chris Toman, provide a recommendation against the spread for every game.

We have plenty of other picks, too.

Parlay picks: Pittsburgh has been one of the league’s best ATS teams this season. But to be safe, Perri is buying a few extra points against a divisional rival and has the Bills and Eagles mixed into this +325 parlay.

TD picks: Speaking of the Steelers, Perri is eyeing one of their players to find the end zone this weekend. He has two more picks, including a play on Minnesota Viking star receiver Justin Jefferson.

Prop picks: Taysom Hill, Mike Evans and A.J. Brown are the subjects of this week’s NFL prop picks.

Eagles vs. Ravens same-game parlay: Philadelphia is on fire, having won seven straight. Horrobin expects them to keep it close against a feisty Baltimore squad. Jalen Hurts and Mark Andrews also factor into this +375 SGP.

Sunday and Monday Night Football predictions

49ers vs. Bills best bets: Closs likes the Bills on the spread as a home favourite and has another pick for the Sunday nighter in Orchard Park.

49ers vs. Bills prop picks: Who can stop Josh Allen? Steven Psihogios says the 49ers can’t. He’s doubling down on a pair of Allen props while fading Brock Purdy.

Browns vs. Broncos best bets: Jerry Jeudy is trending up and Nick Chubb is trending down. Psihogios is sticking with the trends with a prop pick for each.

NFL Week 13 ATS staff picks: Predictions against the spread for every game

NFL ATS picks

American Thanksgiving week is always a special one in the NFL, but the holiday tripleheader is far from the only action for bettors to sink their teeth into.

The latest: It’s a bye-free week, meaning we have 16 games from Thursday afternoon through Monday night. The marquee matchup on the slate is arguably the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Baltimore Ravens, which is one of 10 games featuring a spread of 4 points or fewer.

Check out our NFL Week 13 ATS picks for predictions on every game.

Thanksgiving Day picks

Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions (Thursday, Nov. 28: 12:30 p.m.)

Embed: #101831

NorthStar Bets line: Detroit -9.5
Horrobin says: The Bears have lost their past two games by a total of four points, so it might seem nice to bank a boatload with them. But on the road against the Lions, I just can’t do it. Detroit is 4-1 ATS at home, winning by an average of 19.8 points. Chicago is 0-3-1 ATS on the road and should be in for another rude awakening in the Motor City.
Pick: Lions -9.5

New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys (Thursday, Nov. 28: 4:30 p.m.)

Embed: #101832

NorthStar Bets line: Dallas -3.5
Perri says: Drew Lock, Cooper Rush and a little tryptophan should put America to sleep in the Thanksgiving afternoon game. That said, I’ll take the Giants to cover as road underdogs. Dallas has the second-worst scoring defence in football and is 0-5 at home this year with a -128 point differential. Lock might not be great but he’s an upgrade over Daniel Jones and Tommy DeVito.
Pick: Giants +3.5

Miami Dolphins vs. Green Bay Packers (Thursday, Nov. 28: 8:20 p.m.)

Embed: #101833

NorthStar Bets line: Green Bay -3.5
Horrobin says: Miami hasn’t beaten a team with a winning record this season, going 0-4 in those matchups. And Tua Tagovailoa hates the cold. According to the Palm Beach Post, Tagovailoa is 0-7 in games that fall below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. After a 28-point win against the 49ers at home last week, look for Green Bay to stay dominant in the Frozen Tundra.
Pick: Packers -3.5

NFL Week 13 ATS pick: Friday, Nov. 29: 3:00 p.m.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Embed: #101834

NorthStar Bets line: Kansas City -13
Horrobin says: Kansas City is 10-1, but it rarely wins by a comfortable margin. The Chiefs are 0-10-1 against this line and 5-6 ATS overall. Though I’m not an Aidan O’Connell truther, he was under centre when Las Vegas upset KC on Christmas last year. The Raiders are 3-2 ATS this year as underdogs of a touchdown or more.
Pick: Raiders +13

NFL Week 13 ATS picks: The early Sunday slate

Arizona Cardinals vs. Minnesota Vikings (Sunday, Dec. 1: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #101838

NorthStar Bets line: Minnesota -3.5
Toman says: Arizona is coming off a brutal loss after reeling off wins in five of its previous six games. James Conner has been silenced in consecutive weeks and now faces one of the NFL’s elite run defences. The Cardinals run game could be non-existent again versus the Vikings, who have covered this number in seven of their nine wins.
Pick: Vikings -3.5

Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (Sunday, Dec. 1: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #101841

NorthStar Bets line: Houston -4
Horrobin says: Here’s hoping the Jaguars figured some things during last week’s bye after scoring just 13 points in their two previous games. Even with the offensive woes, Jacksonville is 4-1 ATS in its past five. Houston is sketchy on the road (3-3 straight up) and just lost as an 8-point home favourite last week against Tennessee.
Pick: Jaguars +4

Indianapolis Colts vs. New England Patriots (Sunday, Dec. 1: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #101837

NorthStar Bets line: Indianapolis -3
Toman says: The Patriots are the perfect cure for the Colts, who are coming off their worst loss of the season (mind you, it was against the powerhouse Lions). Indianapolis is a strong 8-4 ATS and has played respectable despite QB changes and a difficult schedule. Only the Giants average fewer points per game than New England.
Pick: Colts -3

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Atlanta Falcons (Sunday, Dec. 1: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #101840

NorthStar Bets line: Los Angeles -1.5
Horrobin says: L.A.’s offence is humming, as the Chargers have scored 23-plus points in five straight games. Atlanta, meanwhile, has only scored 23 total points over its past two games. The Falcons are No. 25 in the NFL in yards and points allowed, and I expect them to struggle against Justin Herbert and Co. Also, the Chargers are 4-1 ATS in their past five.
Pick: Chargers -1.5

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals (Sunday, Dec. 1: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #101836

NorthStar Bets line: Cincinnati -3
Perri says: Pittsburgh was playing great football before losing in a blizzard to the Browns in Cleveland. That was a whacky game and I expect the Steelers to rebound as a road underdog. Mike Tomlin’s group is 2-0 ATS in that spot this season and 10-6 ATS over the last three seasons. Russell Wilson hasn’t been perfect but he should be able to carve up one of the worst secondaries in the league.
Pick: Steelers +3

Seattle Seahawks vs. New York Jets (Sunday, Dec. 1: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #101835

NorthStar Bets line: Seattle -2
Horrobin says: In its past two road games, Seattle won outright as an underdog. Now all it needs is another tight win over a New York squad that is 3-8 outright and ATS. The Jets are 1-7 ATS in their past eight and 0-3 ATS as underdogs … and their win on Halloween night against the Texans doesn’t look as impressive as it did at the time.
Pick: Seahawks -2

Tennessee Titans vs. Washington Commanders (Sunday, Dec. 1: 1 p.m.)

Embed: #101839

NorthStar Bets line: Washington -6
Perri says: The Commanders are on a three-game slide after starting the season 7-2, but I trust them to bounce back at home against an awful Titans team. Will Levis is 1-6 in games he started and finished this year, losing five of those by seven-plus points.
Pick: Commanders -6

Make your Week 13 predictions

NFL 4 p.m. slate

Los Angeles Rams vs. New Orleans Saints (Sunday, Dec. 1: 4:05 p.m.)

Embed: #101843

NorthStar Bets line: Los Angeles -2.5
Toman says: This is a huge game with both teams in the playoff hunt thanks to their weak NFC divisions. Both enter in solid form, but the Rams (4-2 straight up since their Week 6 bye) are the far more dangerous team with all their playmakers healthy again.
Pick: Rams -2.5

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Carolina Panthers (Sunday, Dec. 1: 4:05 p.m.)

Embed: #101842

NorthStar Bets line: Tampa Bay -6
Perri says: Bryce Young and the Panthers are on a three-game ATS winning streak, securing two of those games outright and playing the Chiefs in a 30-27 nail-biter. Carolina’s offence looks competent right now and Tampa Bay’s defence was getting shelled before last week’s 30-7 win over the Giants. But I still don’t trust that unit and will take Carolina with the points at home.
Pick: Panthers -6

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Baltimore Ravens (Sunday, Dec. 1: 4:25 p.m.)

Embed: #101844

NorthStar Bets line: Baltimore -3
Perri says: These are two of the league’s best teams but I believe Philly is a cut above Baltimore. The Eagles have been thrashing teams since their Week 5 bye, going 7-0 with a +107 point differential. Philly’s ranks second in EPA per play in that span while Saquon Barkley has emerged as a legitimate MVP candidate. The Ravens aren’t as dominant on both sides of the ball and I expect that to be the difference.
Pick: Eagles +3

Sunday and Monday Night NFL ATS picks

San Francisco 49ers vs. Buffalo Bills (Sunday, Dec. 1: 8:20 p.m.)

Embed: #101845

NorthStar Bets line: Buffalo -7
Perri says: It feels like San Francisco has to snap out of it at some point but I can’t look past its laundry list of injuries. Nick Bosa and Trent Williams both missed practice on Wednesday while Brock Purdy remains questionable with a shoulder injury. Josh Allen is playing like the MVP and Buffalo is rolling teams at Highmark Stadium with a 5-0 record and a +15.8 average margin of victory.
Pick: Bills -7

Cleveland Browns vs. Denver Broncos (Monday, Dec. 2: 8:15 p.m.)

Embed: #101846

NorthStar Bets line: Denver -6
Horrobin says: Last week’s snow globe win for Cleveland was a fun one, but I’m not sure it’s replicable on the road against a really solid Denver squad. The Broncos are 5-0 ATS as favourites this year, and Bo Nix has an 11:1 TD-to-INT ratio over his past five games. In four starts for the Browns, Jameis Winston has four interceptions and three fumbles.
Pick: Broncos -6

Staff Week 13 + season-long records: Toman: 6-7 (92-82-5) | Closs: 4-9 (86-88-5) | Psihogios: 7-6 (86-88-5) | Horrobin: 8-5 (83-91-5) | Perri: 7-6 (80-94-5)

NFL Week 12 betting guide: Props, parlays and best bet recommendations for the weekend

NFL betting guide

Another week, another NFL slate loaded with betting opportunities.

There are 11 games coming at you this Sunday, including a San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers rematch from last year’s NFC Divisional Round and a Sunday Night Football showdown between two red-hot teams.

Check out our Week 12 NFL betting guide, featuring staff picks and predictions to help you make the best wagers.

NFL betting guide: Week 12

Don’t be surprised if you see some blowouts to start the day.

Five of the seven games in the 1 p.m. ET window have spreads of 7.5 points or greater. That includes a matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Carolina Panthers.

Patrick Mahomes and Co. look to rebound from their first loss since Christmas Day 2023 while Bryce Young hopes for a third straight win.

The slate really gets cooking in the afternoon when the 49ers take on the Packers at Lambeau Field. But San Francisco will be doing so without two key pieces: QB Brock Purdy and star DE Nick Bosa.

At the same time, the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals meet in a crucial NFC West matchup with pick’em odds.

A SNF matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams closes things out.

Philly is a perfect 6-0 since its bye and is steamrolling teams. L.A., meanwhile, has won four of its last five and is putting up massive numbers with Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp in the mix.

Here are some quick betting notes for Sunday:

  • Highest total: Lions vs. Colts (50)
  • Biggest spreads: Chiefs (11) vs. Panthers; Cowboys vs. Commanders (-10.0)
  • Seven teams have odds of +200 or longer to win (Cowboys, Colts, Panthers, Patriots, Giants, Titans, Raiders)

Lines and odds are listed as of 4:00 p.m. ET on Nov. 22.

Week 12 betting predictions

If you need a one-stop shop for spread bets, we have you covered.

Our NFL Week 12 ATS picks, via Avery Perri, Jordan Horrobin, Spencer Closs and Chris Toman, provide a recommendation against the spread for every game.

We have plenty of other picks, too.

Upset picks: It’s Tommy DeVito time in New York and Perri expects the undrafted signal caller to pick up where he left off… winning games and making hand gestures.

Parlay picks: Betting against the Cowboys, Titans and Raiders has been awfully profitable this year, and now you can fade all three in one place with Horrobin’s +256 parlay.

TD picks: Perri is locking in on two players from Sunday’s Buccaneers vs. Giants game to score alongside a rookie quarterback with a strong rushing pedigree.

Prop picks: Nico Collins, De’Von Achane and Jayden Daniels are the subjects of this week’s NFL prop picks.

49ers vs. Packers same-game parlay: San Francisco has won consecutive games against Green Bay by the skin of its teeth but Horrobin expects the Packers to at least keep this one close at home. Josh Jacobs and Jauan Jennings also factor into this +325 wager.

Sunday and Monday Night Football predictions

Eagles vs. Rams prop picks: DeVonta Smith is out for Philadelphia. Steven Psihogios expects a pair of Eagles receivers to step up in his absence and have monster performances.

Eagles vs. Rams same-game parlay: Looking for a ticket with some juicy odds? Psihogios has a +550 ticket that includes A.J. Brown and Dallas Goedert.

Ravens vs. Chargers best bets: Justin Herbert is slicing up opposing defences. That’s bad news for a Baltimore squad that can’t stop anything. Psihogios expects the L.A. QB to dominate in a winning effort.

Ravens vs. Chargers same-game parlay:
