Chiefs vs. Eagles Super Bowl 59 SGP staff predictions: Same-game parlay picks and recommendations

Chiefs vs. Eagles SGP predictions

This year’s star-studded Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, featuring elite quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts, is ripe for SGP predictions.

The pregame narrative: Kansas City, an NFL-best 15-2 in the regular season, is going for its third consecutive title in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII. Philadelphia has won 15 of its last 16 games and is an underdog for the first time since Week 13.

Check out our staff’s Chiefs vs. Eagles Super Bowl SGP predictions for the Feb. 9 game in New Orleans.

Chiefs vs. Eagles SGP predictions

The last game of the NFL season is coming and SGPs will certainly be a popular wagering option among football bettors.

For those new to football betting or in need of a refresher, we have a couple of resources to get you prepared for the Big Game:

Same-game parlays can be the ultimate risk/reward scenario. They are more difficult wagers to win, especially with more legs added to them, but they have great appeal based on the payout potential.

To help you decide what combinations to put together, NorthStar Bets’ Insights team is rolling out SGP recommendations all week.

Take a look below at how each writer is betting on the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl SGP picks

Steven Psihogios: This is an Eagles-centric SGP. Psihogios likes the slight underdogs to win and expects the team’s big dogs to help make that happen. In addition to Philadelphia on the moneyline, Psihogios has prop picks on Hurts and Saquon Barkley, leading to a +320 ticket. This recommendation cashed in both of the Eagles’ last two playoff wins.

Avery Perri: Perri is also on the Birds, but he’s buying a bunch of points just to be safe. He expects Hurts and A.J. Brown to lead the way in this +375 ticket while also backing Mahomes to clear a teased-down rushing total.

Spencer Closs: Prop picks on Eagles receivers DeVonta Smith and Jahan Dotson make up two legs of this +340 SGP. The other play is the under on an alternative total in a Super Bowl matchup that features two of the NFL’s top defensive teams.

Jordan Horrobin: There’s been plenty of brotherly love for Philly so far, but this ticket is a little more KC-friendly. The +420 SGP features four player props, including yardage milestones for Xavier Worthy and Kareem Hunt.

Chris Toman: Go big or go home. Toman expects Philly to end Kansas City’s three-peat bid on Sunday. He’s also taking the under on an alternate spread alongside prop bets on Hurts and Mahomes. The result? A +1,000 SGP.

Super Bowl ATS picks: Chiefs vs. Eagles predictions

Perri (Eagles +1): Betting against the Chiefs in the playoffs is scary business, but I think the Eagles have what it takes to win — and potentially by a good margin.

Philadelphia has the best roster in football. It leads Kansas City in the following categories: Offensive and defensive EPA per play, scoring offence and scoring defence, turnover margin, ATS record, and yards per game.

Patrick Mahomes is the ultimate X-factor, though Saquon Barkley isn’t far off. The freshly-minted Offensive Player of the Year rushed for 2,000 yards this season and has been unstoppable in the playoffs (477 scrimmage yards, five TDs).

If Nick Sirianni and the Eagles stick to their offensive philosophy, Barkley should touch the ball early and often. I trust him to perform and Philly’s defence to keep Mahomes in check. The three-peat isn’t happening.

Saquon Barkley enters the Super Bowl fresh off winning the Offensive Player of the Year award.

Horrobin (Eagles +1): It’s easy to make an ATS case for the Chiefs if you’re going off historical narratives or gut feel. Yes, KC has won 17 consecutive one-score games, as well as nine consecutive playoff games. And yes, there’s an air of Mahomesian magic whenever No. 15 in red steps on the field.

But logic — and thus, my gut — have me leaning on the Eagles. They have the stingiest pass defence and the meanest run offence in the NFL, headlined by legitimate game-breakers on both sides of the ball (Barkley, Jalen Carter).

When KC beat Philly in the Super Bowl two years ago, the Chiefs had the NFL’s No. 1 offence by yards and points. They finished smack in the middle of the league in both categories this year.

If the Eagles jump ahead, their pound-the-rock offence can shrink the number of possessions and prevent a comeback. Both teams are experienced, rested and healthy. Philly is simply the better squad.

Star player pages

Toman (Eagles +1): As of Friday morning (Feb. 7), Eagles moneyline is a +104 play. I got them last week at +110 and have them to win in some SGPs as well. So, yes, I like Eagles +1 at -110 but do think you’re better off taking them on the ML or as a favourite on an alternate spread.

The Eagles are 7-1 straight up in their last eight games (playoffs included) and they’ve won all of them by six-plus points.

Philadelphia -5.5 has cashed in 12 of its last 15 games, and you can get +195 odds at that number. That’s where the value is for me. You could also take on less risk and get a plus-money payout for the Eagles to cover a field goal. Definitely something to consider.

As a two-time reigning champ that really only lost one game this season (KC sat all its starters in Week 18), the Chiefs are obviously no pushovers. But several metrics point to the Eagles having the better season, better team and the most explosive offensive player (Barkley) that either squad employs.

Regular season ATS records: Toman: 127-125-7 | Horrobin: 120-132-7 | Perri: 116-136-7

How to play Super Bowl LIX squares: Rules and betting odds for Chiefs vs. Eagles

Super Bowl squares

If you’re attending or hosting a Super Bowl LIX party for the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles game, you might want to create your own Super Bowl squares game, or at least understand how they work so you can play along.

Whether you’re hardcore or casual, fans can wager on just about anything in the Big Game. If prop bets or the halftime performance isn’t your thing, you can get in on the action with Super Bowl squares.

Not familiar with Super Bowl squares? Read below for rules and betting odds to see how it works. Hosting your own Super Bowl Squares game? Just save the image above and print copies for your guests!

Super Bowl squares rules

The square consists of 10 vertical columns and 10 horizontal rows, both numbered from zero to nine. One Super Bowl team — Chiefs or Eagles — is assigned the columns and the other gets the rows.

Each of the 100 squares inside is then purchased individually with each square priced equally.

Super Bowl squares

(Open image and download our Super Bowl squares graphic for the Big Game!)

Members of your Super Bowl party can then buy as many squares as they’d like in each quarter. The more squares that are bought, the greater the payout probabilities for the winner.

Once every box of the pool has been sold, the numbers assigned to each row and column are selected at random.

After every quarter, the person whose square corresponds with the intersection of the second digit of each team’s score wins a prize.

For example, a 14–7 score at the end of the first quarter pays out the owner of the square at row 4, column 7.

NorthStar Bets SB squares betting odds

That’s the traditional way of playing. But maybe you’re not at a Super Bowl party or you’d like to jazz it up.

At NorthStar Bets, you can get in on the action by placing individual bets on each quarter’s outcome.

Full SB squares betting markets

Let’s use the first quarter “0-0” as an example.

  • That would cover a 0-0 tie, 10-10 tie, 20-10 score, 10-0, score, etc. As long as both team’s score ends with a zero when the clock strikes zero, the bet would cash.
  • At +300, “0-0” is deemed the most likely outcome. Still, that carries a 25.0% implied probability, hence the generous odds.

As more time in the game elapses, there are more opportunities for crooked numbers to get on the scoreboard.

For example, at the end of the third quarter, both “0-7 Philadelphia” and “7-0 Kansas City” hold +1,500 odds. These are some examples of scores which would cash the latter:

  • Kansas City 17-20 Philadelphia
  • Kansas City 27-10 Philadelphia
  • Kansas City 7-30 Philadelphia

It’s an interesting exercise because you can win your wager with either team getting blown out. That said, Super Bowl squares is largely a game of chance but numbers such as 0, 3 and 7 have higher hit rates.

The 5 best spots in Toronto to get wings for your Super Bowl party

Toronto wing spots

Food is a big part of the Super Bowl experience. A good meal can put the extravaganza over the top.

And what food item is more synonymous with the Super Bowl than wings? If you don’t feel like cooking up some homemade chili, you can’t go wrong with ordering wings for the Big Game. To help you out, our staff writers compiled a list of the best spots in Toronto to get wings for the Super Bowl.

Check out the top spots below.

Best Toronto wings for the Super Bowl

Five writers, five different recommendations. Spencer Closs, Jordan Horrobin, Avery Perri, Steven Psihogios and Chris Toman dish on their favourite places to get wings in the city.

If you’re thinking of adding wings to your Super Bowl bash, these spots are a good place to start.

Wingstop

Closs: Wingstop has a fast-food vibe so you can order six-piece, eight-piece, or 10-piece wing combos (with fries and drink) if you are buying alone. They, of course, also offer family packs of up to 100 wings to feed any Super Bowl party. Since it is a chain restaurant, the accessibility is unmatched.

There are six locations in Toronto and multiple others around the GTA for those outside the city. And don’t worry because Wingstop’s taste is top quality, too. They offer 14 flavours with the typical heat scale wing-lovers are used to.

Duff’s Famous Wings

Horrobin: Devouring legitimate buffalo wings outside of Western New York is a cheat code, and yet that’s exactly what you’ll get at Duff’s Famous Wings at either of its Toronto locations.

You don’t go to Duff’s for ambiance. You go for a pound (or two) of bone-in brilliance, sauced and piled high in a wooden bowl. My ideal bite is that first crunch into a crispy, medium-sauced flat. If you go, don’t get boneless. And please, for the love of God, don’t get cauliflower.

Drums N Flats

Perri: Drums N Flats, or “DNF” as my buddies and I call it, is a staple in the Avenue and Lawrence area. I’ve spent many nights watching big games there, hammering back their double-dipped wings with a few drinks.

They’ve got about every flavour you can imagine and let you choose between drums, flat, or mixed. Blackened Buffalo is my go-to and Angry Mexican also gets a good shout. And if you’re going in person and the game sucks they also have Golden Tee, which is a plus.

Pig Out BBQ

Psihogios: Pig Out has fantastic barbecue and will deliver right to you, saving you time ahead of the Big Game. The Pig Out Platter has everything you need for your Super Bowl party. Ribs, sausage, pulled pork, chicken wings and beef brisket. The barbecue sauce is smokey and flavourful, and the food is always cooked to perfection. I couldn’t recommend it more.

Crown & Dragon

Toman: This place checks off several boxes. Prime location (Yonge and Davenport). Multiple half-price nights throughout the week, including all day Sunday (dine-in only), making it an ideal spot to watch the NFL.

Twenty-five-plus wing options. Rated the No. 1 wing spot in Toronto by multiple reviewers over the years. You’ll know you haven’t been eating the best wings until you devour Crown & Dragon. Don’t take my word for it, give it a try yourself and you won’t be disappointed.

Epic Ape 2 Tips, Strategies and Review

Epic Ape 2 slot is a thrilling online game. Play it in Ontario at NorthStar Bets and read our review with tips, strategy, and more!

Epic Ape 2 is a thrilling online slot game, bringing players deep into a lush jungle filled with exotic animals and exciting bonus features.

This sequel to the original Epic Ape introduces several upgrades, including enhanced graphics, expanded gameplay, and more rewarding bonus rounds.

With a maximum win potential of up to 10,000 x your stake, this high-volatility game offers adventure and riches for players willing to take on the challenge.

Gameplay and Features

Epic Ape 2 is a 6-reel, 4-row slot with 4,096 ways to win, meaning you don’t need to line up symbols across specific pay lines. Instead, winning combinations are created when matching symbols appear on adjacent reels from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel. This format keeps the action exciting and the potential payouts significant.

The game’s theme immerses you in the sights and sounds of the jungle, with symbols that include gorillas, jaguars, chameleons, and other wildlife, as well as the traditional playing card symbols (10 to A) that represent lower-paying symbols.

Epic Ape 2 also includes a Wild symbol, represented by a diamond, which can substitute for other symbols (except the Scatter) to help you land winning combinations.

Free Games Feature: The real excitement begins with the Free Games feature. By landing 3, 4, 5, or 6 Scatter symbols (a roaring gorilla) on the reels, you can trigger up to 100 free spins.

During free spins, Wild symbols come with multipliers of up to 5x, which can lead to some huge wins if you manage to stack them together.

Jackpot Feature: Another major draw of Epic Ape 2 is its four-tiered progressive jackpot, which can be triggered randomly on any spin. These jackpots—Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand—add an extra level of anticipation, as any spin can potentially deliver a massive prize.

Epic Ape 2 Tips and Strategies

Trigger Free Spins for Big Wins: One option is to focus on triggering the Free Games feature, as it holds the game’s best win potential. The multipliers on the Wild symbols during free spins can lead to massive payouts, especially if multiple Wilds appear in a winning combination.

Patience is key, as the feature doesn’t trigger often, but it’s worth the wait.

Maximize Multiplier Wilds: When playing with free spins, aim to land the highest multiplier Wilds possible. As the multipliers can go up to 5x, stacking these Wilds in winning combos can create significant payouts.

For those longer gameplay sessions, make sure to track how often these Wilds appear to strategize your betting levels effectively.

Keep an Eye on the Jackpot: While the jackpots in Epic Ape 2 trigger randomly, they offer substantial payouts if you’re lucky enough to hit one.

In conclusion…

Epic Ape 2 brings an intense, high-stakes jungle adventure to players who enjoy the thrill of progressive jackpots, high-volatility gameplay, and substantial bonus potential.

Its Free Games feature and Wild multipliers offer exciting win possibilities. If you’re a fan of immersive, action-packed slots with high rewards, Epic Ape 2 is worth a spin.

Age of the Gods Cash Collect Review: Tips, Strategies and more!

Age of the Gods Cash Collect is a captivating addition to the popular Age of the Gods series for Ontario online casino and slot players.

Age of the Gods Cash Collect is a captivating addition to Playtech’s popular Age of the Gods series, merging the thrill of Greek mythology with innovative gameplay mechanics.

Set against a majestic, God-filled backdrop, this online casino slot offers players various chances to win through engaging features like Cash Collect symbols and four progressive jackpots.

Here’s everything you need to know about the game, including tips and strategies to maximize your entertainment.

Age of the Gods Cash Collect: Overview

Age of the Gods: Cash Collect is a five-reel, three-row slot with 30 paylines and stunning visuals inspired by ancient Greek gods. With characters such as Athena, Zeus, and Poseidon gracing the reels, the slot transports players to Mount Olympus, where Gods reign supreme.

The game’s standout feature is the Cash Collect mechanic, which allows you to collect instant cash prizes, free spins, or jackpot coins.

The game’s betting range is accessible, and appealing to casual players and high rollers. Additionally, four progressive jackpots—Power, Extra Power, Super Power, and Ultimate Power—provide thrilling opportunities to score substantial payouts.

Key Features:

  1. Cash Collect Feature: The heart of the game is the Cash Collect feature, triggered when the Cash Collect symbol lands on the fifth reel. Cash Collect symbols award instant cash prizes, free spins, or jackpot coins, creating dynamic gameplay with multiple ways to win.

  2. Progressive Jackpots: Four progressive jackpots can be triggered randomly, adding an exciting layer to the game. The Ultimate Power jackpot, the largest of the four, often reaches impressive sums.

  3. Bonus Spins: During Bonus spins rounds Cash Collect symbols become sticky, increasing your chances of landing significant payouts. More spins and Cash Collect symbols lead to higher potential winnings.

  4. Multiplier Symbols: In some versions, multiplier symbols enhance your prizes, doubling or tripling cash values collected during the spins.

Age of the Gods Cash Collect: Tips and Strategies

To enhance your enjoyment while playing, consider these tips and strategies:

  1. Focus on Bonus Spins: The bonus spins rounds can be particularly rewarding, as the sticky Cash Collect symbols stay on the reels. Try to trigger bonus spins as often as possible for increased win potential.

  2. Keep an Eye on Jackpots: Because the progressive jackpots are triggered randomly, they add an element of excitement to each spin. Players should remember that jackpots can drop at any bet level, so even conservative players have a shot at the big prizes.

  3. Play Responsibly: Like all slot games, Age of the Gods: Cash Collect relies heavily on chance. Regular breaks and responsible play can help you make the most of your gaming experience.

In conclusion…

The game combines engaging gameplay with a rich theme inspired by Greek mythology.

The Cash Collect mechanic, progressive jackpots, and bonus spins round make this game an excellent choice for those seeking excitement and lucrative prizes.

With strategic play and a focus on maximizing bonus rounds, players can enhance their chances of enjoying a rewarding experience on the reels.

NFL conference championship betting guide: Props, parlays and best bet recommendations for Sunday’s games

NFL betting guide

We’re down to the final four as the NFL playoffs hit a fever pitch.

Jayden Daniels has led the Washington Commanders to an improbable NFC championship appearance against the division rival Philadelphia Eagles. On the other side, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen meet yet again with legacies on the line.

We have you covered for it in our NFL betting guide, featuring staff picks and predictions to help you make the best wagers for the conference championship games.

NFL betting guide: Championship Sunday

You couldn’t draw up a much better championship Sunday.

We have the Commanders, a perennial David in a league full of Goliaths, who have turned things around thanks to a new head coach and a killer rookie quarterback.

Washington is playing with house money after knocking off the top-seeded Detroit Lions, and now it has a chance to advance to the Super Bowl for the first time in 33 years.

But the Commanders will have to get through an Eagles squad firing on all cylinders, buoyed by an elite defence and Saquon Barkley, who became the fifth player this millennium to rush for 2,000 yards.

As of Friday afternoon, Philadelphia is a 6-point favourite and the over/under is set at 47 points.

But the main event is at Arrowhead Stadium, where the Chiefs look to cement their status as a legendary dynasty.

No team has ever completed a Super Bowl three-peat. But Mahomes, Andy Reid, and an elite defence are knocking at the door.

The one man who can put that to bed on Sunday is Allen.

Buffalo’s signal caller has fallen just short of toppling Kansas City three times in the playoffs before. But his Bills are on a roll and already beat the Chiefs earlier this season.

This has all the makings of an instant classic: Kansas City is a 2-point favourite, and the over/under is set at 48.5 points.

Looking to bet on the action? Here’s a good place to start: Our NFL conference championship ATS picks. Jordan Horrobin and Avery Perri both provide their recommendations against the spread for the conference title games.

Championship Sunday betting predictions: SGPs, prop bets, and more!

Rams vs. Eagles same-game parlay: Washington has been blowout-proof since a rough showing all the way back in its season opener. Taking the Commanders +10.5 is the backbone of Spencer Closs’ +280 SGP (along with a Daniels prop bet).

Rams vs. Eagles prop bets: A.J. Brown is in a rut and was seen reading self-help books during the wild-card round. But Perri is buying low on the star wide receiver.

Barkley and Daniels prop bets: Barkley and Daniels headline the show at Lincoln Financial Field — you can read about all their prop markets and get a best bet for each player here.

Rams vs. Eagles TD picks: Could the Eagles run the “Tush Push” with Goedert on Sunday? It’s not out of the question. But the veteran tight end has also been a go-to guy for Philly in the playoffs, so he’s a reasonable bet to score the conventional way, too.

Bills vs. Chiefs same-game parlay: Buffalo’s last two playoff losses to Kansas City were heartbreaking. But the Bills have kept things close and Perri expects another tight matchup. Prop bets on Allen, Dalton Kincaid and Travis Kelce round out this +400 wager.

Bills vs. Chiefs prop bets: Horrobin likens Kelce to a vintage muscle car that spent most of its recent months hibernating in a garage. But now that we’re in the postseason, It’s time for KC to let that engine purr.

Allen and Mahomes prop bets: “Superhuman” would be the best way to describe Allen and Mahomes on the football field. These two have had countless epic battles, and Horrobin gives out one best bet for both QBs.

Bills vs. Chiefs TD picks: James Cook scored twice when the Bills toppled the Chiefs earlier this season. Closs says he’ll find pay dirt once again.
