Best NBA prop picks Feb. 11: Betting predictions on Trey Murphy, Brandon Ingram and Jarrett Allen

NBA prop picks Feb. 11

Wednesday night’s NBA slate is loaded, featuring 14 games and all but two teams in action.

Tonight’s NBA props narrative: Several good matchups are scheduled, including a big Eastern Conference tilt between the Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors. A pair of key Detroit absences should help Toronto at home, and I’m looking for Brandon Ingram to take advantage.

Check out my top NBA prop picks for Feb. 11, featuring predictions on Trey Murphy and Jarrett Allen.

NBA prop picks Feb. 11

Best bet: Ingram over 29.5 points/rebounds/assists (-125)

Fresh off his second career all-star selection, Ingram and the Raptors will see a shorthanded Pistons team.

Detroit will be without suspended big men Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart as a result of their roles in a brawl with the Charlotte Hornets earlier this week.

Duren is one of the best rebounders in the NBA and Stewart is strong on the glass, too. They’re also good defenders for a team that ranks second in the NBA in defensive rating.

Ingram is a solid rebounding wing with nightly 20-plus-point upside. The absence of the two Pistons centres could help out the 28-year-old in the two areas that we need.

-> Bet on tonight’s NBA slate now!

Ingram is averaging 31.5 PRA and is the No. 1 scoring option for the Raptors, who sit 10 games above .500.

Even without Duren and Stewart, Detroit is a 1-point road favourite as the Raps take on Cade Cunningham and the No. 1 team in the East.

Key stat: Ingram has recorded 30+ PRA in eight of his last 11 games.

Best NBA picks

Allen to double-double (-141): Allen has put up some monster games with Cleveland Cavaliers teammate Evan Mobley sidelined this month.

  • 4 straight double-doubles.
  • 20+ points in 3 of his last 4.

-> At NorthStar Bets: Wager on NBA props, futures & more

Allen’s production is vastly improved without his fellow big man (18.6 points vs. 12.8; 9.3 rebounds vs. 7.8, per StatMuse), and the addition of James Harden hasn’t cut into the centre’s production.

In two games since Harden joined Cleveland, Allen has recorded consecutive 20-and-10 games, logged more than 30 minutes and taken double-digit shot attempts.

Tonight, he’ll get a Washington Wizards team that allows the most rebounds to the centre position and the second-most points, per Betting Pros.

As a 17-point favourite, there’s concern of reduced minutes in a blowout. But this looks like another game where Allen will feast, as he did vs. Washington in November (16 points, 14 rebounds).

NBA player prop predictions

Murphy over 22.5 points (-124): The Miami Heat’s injury report is long, which should hopefully lead to a competitive game against the lowly New Orleans Pelicans.

And as long as it is and Murphy’s minutes aren’t impacted, I expect his excellent February production to continue.

-> See tonight’s NBA moneyline odds, spreads & game totals

  • 29.5 PPG
  • 53.8 FG%
  • 54.2 3P%

Murphy is averaging 6.5 threes per game this month on monster volume. He’s taken double-digit 3-point attempts in six of his last eight and hasn’t taken fewer than seven attempts since late December.

That volume on good efficiency is a great way to pile up points, and Murphy has done just that, averaging a career-high 22.2 per game (25.2 since Jan. 1).

Murphy already torched Miami once this season, going for 27 points and seven triples in January.

Best NBA prop picks Feb. 3: Predictions on Tyrese Maxey, Jamal Murray and CJ McCollum

Best NBA prop picks

Tuesday’s NBA schedule is loaded, featuring 10 games and several stars in action.

Tonight’s NBA props narrative: The Feb. 3 slate begins with a potential Finals preview: Denver Nuggets vs. Detroit Pistons. Detroit is No. 1 in the East, and Denver has the most road wins in the NBA. I have a play on Jamal Murray and two other prop bets this evening.

Check out my best NBA prop picks for today, featuring predictions on CJ McCollum and Tyrese Maxey.

-> Join NorthStar Bets & start betting on the NBA!

Best NBA prop picks: Feb. 3

Best bet: Murray over 6.5 assists (-139)

There are several reasons I like Murray at this number, and a driving factor is his star teammate, Nikola Jokic.

Murray has cleared this line in consecutive games since Jokic returned after missing a month. Those games also marked two of Murray’s three lowest-scoring outputs since Jan. 1.

The Canadian did a lot of heavy lifting in January with Jokic sidelined, averaging 27.7 points in what’s been a career-best offensive season.

But even as his scoring has gone up, so has his assist production.

-> Bet on Murray, Jokic, Cunningham & more!

  • Murray is averaging a career-high 7.5 assists.
  • He has 21 assists over Denver’s last two games and has big upside. Murray has produced double-digit assists in 38% of his games since January.

The Pistons, No. 2 in the NBA in defensive rating, are strong vs. opposing guards and defend the perimeter well, where Murray excels.

As Jokic inches his way back to normal minutes, expect the three-time MVP to lead Denver’s offence once again.

Key stat: Murray is 25-20 vs. this line this season.

Today’s NBA player prop predictions

McCollum over 16.5 points (-127): Tonight’s Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat game has Tuesday’s highest total by far (240.5).

-> At NorthStar Bets: Wager on NBA props, futures & more

These teams rank No. 1 and 2 in the NBA in pace and combined for 237 points in their lone meeting earlier in the season.

There should be plenty of scoring, and McCollum looks like a good player to target.

Despite coming off the bench and seeing a reduction in minutes since getting traded from the Washington Wizards, McCollum’s shot volume has ticked up.

The veteran guard has played 11 games with Atlanta, averaging 18.0 points. He’s gone for 20-plus in half of those contests.

-> Bet on tonight’s NBA slate now!

NBA best bets

Maxey over 3.5 threes (+120): Maxey will be playing on a back-to-back but I expect the electric guard to take advantage of a favourable situation.

  • Star teammate Joel Embiid is most certainly out, removing a huge offensive force from this game.
  • The Golden State Warriors are swimming in trade rumours ahead of Thursday’s deadline and will be without several key players, including Steph Curry.
  • Additionally, Jimmy Butler is out for the season, Jonathan Kuminga is sidelined, and Draymond Green has been linked in Giannis Antetokounmpo deals. It’s not smooth sailing in Golden State.

-> See tonight’s NBA moneyline odds, spreads & game totals

Those absences and distractions will hopefully offset the significant rest advantage the Warriors will enjoy tonight. Golden State hasn’t played since Friday.

Maxey is averaging a career-high 3.5 triples. He’s gone off from distance over his last three contests after falling short of this number in eight straight.

  • Feb. 2 vs. LAC: 7-14
  • Jan. 31 vs. NO: 4-9
  • Jan. 29 vs. SAC: 4-9

Maxey is clearing this line at a 55% rate this season.

Nuggets vs. Bucks SGP picks Jan. 23: Player prop predictions on Giannis Antetokounmpo and Myles Turner

Nuggets vs Bucks picks

The Denver Nuggets visit the Milwaukee Bucks as part of the NBA’s late slate on Friday night.

The pregame narrative: There’s uncertainty around who’s available, and Milwaukee is struggling, dropping five of its last seven to fall to 11th in the East. As a result, I’m staying away from a side and have instead built a same-game parlay recommendation around the total and two player props.

Check out my Nuggets vs. Bucks picks on Jan. 23, featuring SGP legs on Myles Turner and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

-> Join NorthStar Bets to start betting on the NBA

Nuggets vs. Bucks picks

SGP: Over 212.5 points | Turner over. 4.5 rebounds | Antetokounmpo under 30.5 points (+450)

Over 212.5 points (-139): Milwaukee cashes unders at the third-highest rate in the NBA. But Denver is on the other end as one of three teams hitting overs at a 60% clip.

Neither team has been playing good defence. Since Jan. 1:

  • Denver is 24th in defensive rating.
  • Milwaukee ranks 27th.
  • They’ve allowed 228 PPG combined.

The Nuggets remain without offensive star Nikola Jokic and several players are on the injury report after the team played last night. That includes Jamal Murray (questionable), Peyton Watson (questionable) and Aaron Gordon (probable).

-> Bet on tonight’s Nuggets vs. Bucks game!

Any combination of those guys being out in addition to Jokic would hurt the upside of Denver’s offence tonight.

But I’m still expecting enough points to clear this line. The standard over/under (215) is the lowest of Friday’s eight NBA games.

On the second half of the Nuggets’ eight back-to-backs this season, the over on this total is 7-1.

Milwaukee’s 3-point defence has been atrocious, and Denver (No. 1 in offensive rating) has still been a respectable unit on the offensive side of things without Jokic.

NBA SGP predictions

Turner over 4.5 rebounds (-152): Turner isn’t a big force down low, but hopefully he can take advantage on the glass without one of the game’s elite rebounders on the court.

The Milwaukee centre corralled five rebounds when these teams met on Jan. 11, and is 7-3 vs. this number over his last 10.

-> Build your own NBA SGPs & bet on tonight’s action!

On the season, Turner is averaging 5.3 rebounds per game. While not impressive, I’m not asking for anything extraordinary in this situation.

Hitting his season average against a depleted Nuggets team on a back-to-back should be attainable.

Giannis NBA player prop bet

Antetokounmpo under 30.5 points (-150): This situation is ripe for Antetokounmpo to go off. But I have my reservations.

Something weird is going on amidst the dysfunction in Milwaukee and the trade rumours swirling around the organization’s franchise player.

-> See player props on Giannis, Turner & more!

  • Antetokounmpo has taken between 11 and 13 shots in five of his last six games.
  • He has hit the over on this number just once over that stretch, when he hoisted a modest 17 shots and scored 31 vs. Denver.

With no 3-point shot to speak of, his recent volume from the field makes it incredibly difficult to hit the 30-point mark, even for someone as efficient as Giannis.

Antetokounmpo’s playing time doesn’t help either, as he’s rarely getting more than 30 minutes a game.

Giannis blew past this number in four straight contests to start the season. Excluding an injury-shortened game in December, he’s 8-16 since then.

Lakers vs. Nuggets SGP predictions Jan. 20: Bet on Jamal Murray to deliver, Los Angeles to win

Lakers vs. Nuggets predictions

Tuesday’s NBA schedule features a busy late slate, including a 10 p.m. ET showdown between the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena.

The pregame narrative: Jamal Murray has been going off since his star teammate went down and I expect him to continue lighting it up from downtown tonight. That said, I’m betting on Los Angeles to win as part of a +410 same-game parlay recommendation.

Check out my Lakers vs. Nuggets predictions, featuring a prop pick on Deandre Ayton.

-> Join NorthStar Bets to start betting on the NBA

Lakers vs. Nuggets predictions

SGP: Murray 3+ threes | Lakers moneyline | Ayton 10+ rebounds (+410)

Murray 3+ threes (-175): Los Angeles is 25th in the NBA in defensive rating. The Nuggets rank 26th in January.

This game should feature plenty of offence, and Murray is undisputably Denver’s go-to option with Nikola Jokic sidelined.

Murray was quiet in a blowout loss his last time out, but he was on a heater before that. He scored more than 30 points in three straight, attempting 22 shots from deep in that span.

That volume against a weak Lakers defence, which is 24th in opponent 3-point percentage, should allow Murray to get back on track tonight.

-> Bet on tonight’s Lakers/Nuggets game!

The Canadian is averaging 29.9 points this month and 28.8 in eight games without Jokic this season, per StatMuse.

He’s driving those high point totals with a career-best year from distance, upping his volume but also his efficiency.

  • 3.4 made 3s/game
  • 7.6 attempts
  • 44.7%

Murray is 9-6 vs. this milestone over his last 15 contests.

Embed: #122892

NBA SGP pick

Lakers to win (-134): Win or lose, most Nuggets games without Jokic have been tight.

And while they deserve credit for reeling off a 7-4 record without the former MVP, their last four games have been against bottom-of-the-barrel competition.

-> Build your own NBA SGPs & bet on tonight’s action!

  • Jan. 18: Loss to Hornets
  • Jan. 17: Win over Wizards
  • Jan. 14: Win over Mavericks
  • Jan. 13: Win over Pelicans

The Hornets, Wizards and Pelicans are three of the seven worst teams in the NBA. And the Mavs (eighth-worst) were without Anthony Davis and lost Cooper Flagg for the second half of the game.

Los Angeles is healthier, getting all-star-level production out of veteran LeBron James, and despite its warts, the team is winning at a .610 clip (sixth in the West).

That would be good for third in the East. Denver isn’t an easy spot for opponents, but L.A. has been strong on the road (13-8).

-> See player props on Jamal Murray, Luka Doncic & more!

Lakers prop prediction

Ayton 10+ rebounds (-103): Adding this Ayton leg takes this SGP from +175 to +410.

The Lakers centre is no sure thing at this number but he’s certainly capable. And he’ll have the luxury of not having to compete on the glass with Jokic, one of the best rebounders in the game.

  • Ayton has secured double-digit rebounds in just under half his games (17 of 36).
  • He’s gone for 10+ boards in three of his last four (13, 6, 18, 13).
  • The 7-footer is averaging 8.8 boards, but he managed at least 10.0 in seven consecutive seasons coming into the year.

NFL conference championship schedule, matchups and betting odds: Seahawks and Patriots favoured in NFC, AFC title games

NFL conference championship schedule

We’re two games away from finding out who will play in Super Bowl 60 next month.

The pregame narrative: The top two seeds — both with 14-3 records — made it through to the AFC championship game, where the Denver Broncos will host the New England Patriots. The winner of that match gets either the Los Angeles Rams or Seattle Seahawks, who clash for NFC supremacy.

Check out the NFL conference championship schedule and odds for the AFC and NFC title games on Jan. 25, 2026.

NFL conference championship schedule

The NFL conference championship schedule features a doubleheader on Sunday to determine the Super Bowl LX entrants.

No spread is as big as the 7 points the Seahawks were favoured by in the divisional round. But the NFC’s No. 1 seed is favoured for the ninth consecutive game.

New England is on the road against the AFC’s No. 1 seed but is expected to win after Bo Nix’s season-ending injury in the divisional round.

AFC title game betting notes

Patriots vs. Broncos: Sunday, Jan. 25 (3 p.m. ET)

Embed: #122878

This spread would look a lot different if Nix were healthy.

But the quarterback’s devastating injury has the Broncos turning to Jarrett Stidham, who hasn’t attempted a pass since 2023.

Denver put up 33 points with Nix in the divisional round, escaping by the Buffalo Bills in overtime, but it’s hard to imagine that level of offence vs. the Patriots.

-> Props, SGPs & more — bet on the AFC title game!

  • New England has outscored its opponents 44-19 in the playoffs.
  • The Patriots have allowed fewer than 20 points in four straight and ranked third in the NFL in scoring defence (17.8 allowed per game). Denver was fourth.

Drake Maye’s Patriots were the NFL’s only undefeated road team.

Denver’s defence won’t be an easy task, but New England got here by putting up 28 in sloppy conditions on the Houston Texans’ elite D.

NFC title game: Date, time & betting notes

Rams vs. Seahawks: Sunday, Jan. 25 (6:30 p.m ET)

Embed: #122879

Seattle hasn’t been tested in a month, but that’s all about to change.

Not only will the Seahawks be without key offensive piece Zach Charbonnet (ACL tear), but they’re going against a battle-tested Rams team that went blow for blow with them on two occasions already this season.

The Seahawks’ last competitive game came against these same Rams on Dec. 18, a thrilling 38-37 overtime win that saw Seattle erase a 16-point deficit.

Since then, Seattle’s schedule has looked like this:

  • Dec. 28: 27-10 win vs. Panthers
  • Jan. 3: 13-3 win vs. 49ers
  • Wild-card round bye
  • Jan. 17: 41-6 win vs. 49ers

Five weeks before that first meeting vs. Los Angeles was the last time the Seahawks were underdogs, also against the Rams, who won that contest 21-19.

-> Props, SGPs & more — bet on the NFC title game!

The Rams’ road to the NFC title game hasn’t been as easy. Los Angeles limped through the end of the season before barely squeaking by Carolina in the wild-card round.

In the divisional round, the Matthew Stafford and Puka Nacua-powered Rams needed overtime to get past the Chicago Bears and secure another three-point victory.

But this is a true powerhouse clash.

No team scored more than the Rams this season, and no team allowed fewer points than the Seahawks, who had an NFL-best +191 point differential.

Best NBA prop picks Jan. 19: Betting predictions on Pascal Siakam, Norman Powell and Anfernee Simons

NBA prop picks Jan. 19

NBA fans are treated to all-day basketball and a nine-game slate on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Tonight’s NBA props narrative: The action starts at 1 p.m. ET and continues well into the night, providing bettors with plenty of opportunities on Monday. I’m targeting a pair of players running hot, making bets on Pascal Siakam and Anfernee Simons.

NBA prop picks Jan. 19

Best bet: Siakam over 33.5 PRA (-120)

Siakam is on a tear, clearing this line in three straight and six of eight games this month.

He’s contributing across the board, too, providing some cushion if he’s light in one of these statistical areas tonight.

  • Siakam is averaging 24.3 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.5 assists in January.
  • He’s hit the 30-point mark twice, corralled double-digit rebounds twice, and dished out five-plus assists in more than half his games.

-> Bet on tonight’s NBA slate now!

While the Indiana Pacers aren’t a great rebounding team, neither are the Philadelphia 76ers.

The once fearsome rebounder Joel Embiid (questionable) is scoring again, but he’s contributing little on the boards this season. So the presence of Embiid does little to curb Siakam’s rebounding upside.

Key stat: Opposing power forwards have thrived on the glass vs. the Sixers, who allow the second-most rebounds to the position in the NBA (per Betting Pros).

Best NBA picks

Simons over 13.5 points (-118): The first-year Boston Celtic has struggled in this matchup, falling under this number in all three games vs. the Detroit Pistons this season.

And that’s not at all surprising. Simons is streaky, is playing in a reduced/reserve role since leaving the Portland Trail Blazers, and the Pistons have the NBA’s No. 2 defensive rating.

-> At NorthStar Bets: Wager on NBA props, futures & more

But Simons is having his best shooting month of the season and can pile up points in a hurry as a long-range threat.

  • Simons is shooting 49.2% from the field and 51.4% from deep in January, his best totals of any month this season.
  • The 6-foot-3 guard is averaging 4.1 triples in January, the fifth-best mark in the NBA (per StatMuse).
  • He has cleared this total eight times in nine games this month and is 9-1 vs. this line over his last 10 contests.

NBA player prop predictions

Powell over 23.5 points (-106): Like Simons, Powell’s ability to get going from 3-point land helps lead to some huge scoring outbursts.

But he’s also more consistent, logs big minutes as the Miami Heat’s leading scorer, and is having the best season of his career.

-> See tonight’s NBA moneyline odds, spreads & game totals

Powell is averaging 23.8 points and is an excellent shooter from several areas of the court. He’s just outside the top 10 in true shooting percentage among guards.

Helping his usage and hopefully his scoring is the absence of Tyler Herro. Powell has averaged three more points per game this season when Herro is sidelined.

Powell dropped 25 points on the Golden State Warriors in November and has hit that number in half his games this month.

Timberwolves vs. Rockets SGP predictions Jan. 16: Back Jaden McDaniels, Amen Thompson in +410 same-game parlay

Timberwolves vs. Rockets picks

The Minnesota Timberwolves visit the Houston Rockets as part of Friday night’s light six-game NBA slate.

The pregame narrative: Minnesota is down superstar Anthony Edwards but has played well without him and will enjoy a rest advantage against the sputtering Rockets. I like the underdog Timberwolves to cover and have two prop predictions in this +410 same-game parlay recommendation.

Check out my Timberwolves vs. Rockets picks for Jan. 16, featuring SGP legs on Jaden McDaniels and Amen Thompson.

-> Join NorthStar Bets to start betting on the NBA

Timberwolves vs. Rockets picks

Parlay: Timberwolves +4.5 | McDaniels 15+ points | Thompson 8+ rebounds (+410)

Timberwolves +4.5 (-109): The Rockets have been below .500 since the start of December with some bad losses over that stretch.

  • Utah
  • New Orleans
  • Sacramento (x2)
  • Portland (x2)

These teams are going in opposite directions. Minnesota is fourth in the NBA in net rating over that same time period and has won six of its last seven games.

-> See full betting markets for tonight’s NBA slate

While the Timberwolves are without their leading scorer, they haven’t played since Tuesday, giving them a significant rest advantage. The Rockets lost by 20 to the Thunder last night.

Houston is 0-3 on zero days of rest this season and has cleared 105 points just once over its past seven games.

This team is struggling and it wouldn’t be surprising if some key rotation pieces are absent tonight on the second half of a back-to-back.

Minnesota is 5-1 over its last six games without Edwards.

NBA SGP prediction

McDaniels 15+ points (-186): McDaniels will have an opportunity to take on a bigger scoring role with Edwards sidelined, and he’s taken advantage of that situation before.

In eight games without Edwards, McDaniels has received extra playing time and beefed up his scoring.

  • With Edwards: 13.5 PPG, 31.1 MPG
  • Without Edwards: 19.9 PPG, 34.6 MPG

-> Bet on NBA props at NorthStar Bets

McDaniels has cashed this scoring milestone six times in eight games without Edwards, most recently on Tuesday when he dropped 17 points in a blowout win over the Bucks.

Rockets prop prediction

Thompson 8+ rebounds (-122): The 22-year-old is an excellent rebounder for his size, and his heavy dose of minutes will give him every chance to get to this number again.

  • Thompson is 7-3 vs. this line in his last 10 and is second in the NBA in minutes per game.
  • He’s averaging 8.9 rebounds in January, hitting double digits three times.

Another plus could be Sengun’s availability. Houston’s centre missed three games earlier this month with an ankle injury, making him a possible rest candidate tonight.

Thompson is averaging 9.0 rebounds in his last five games without Sengun, reaching this milestone four times.

Even if Sengun suits up, Thompson remains a viable play.

Best NBA prop picks Dec. 10: NBA Cup predictions on Spurs’ Devin Vassell, Dylan Harper

NBA prop picks Dec. 10

Three players are featured in my favourite NBA props for Wednesday, when NBA Cup action continues with a pair of quarterfinal games on Dec. 10.

Today’s NBA props narrative: The Phoenix Suns are massive underdogs vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder, but I’m targeting one of their players on the prop market. To close out the night, I like two San Antonio Spurs to be involved offensively in what should be a high-scoring game vs. the Los Angeles Lakers.

Check out my top NBA prop picks on Mark Williams, Devin Vassell and Dylan Harper.

-> Join NorthStar Bets & start betting on the NBA!

NBA prop picks: Dec. 10

Best bet: Vassell over 14.5 points (-115)

Vassell has had a quiet start to December outside of a 28-point effort vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers. Still, this line is enticing.

Stephon Castle returned last game after a three-week absence, but the Spurs remain without Victor Wembanyama and his 26.2 points per game.

Vassell is one of many starters who can help fill that scoring void, and he has big 3-point upside that can drive up his output.

Tonight’s matchup is a tough one against the West’s No. 2 seed Lakers, though Los Angeles is more gifted offensively than defensively.

-> Full betting markets for tonight’s NBA Cup games!

Vassell turned in a five-point dud in Castle’s return. But he has still cleared this line seven times in his last nine games.

  • The 25-year-old has five games with 20-plus points this season, showing an ability to blow well past this number.
  • He’s sitting on career-highs in made threes (2.8/game), attempts (7.0/game) and 3-point percentage (39.8%).

Key stat: The Lakers rank 25th in opponent 3-point percentage. Vassell scored 15 on them in November, nailing a pair of triples.

Best NBA picks

Harper over 12.5 points (-110): Harper has been above the 20-minute mark in all four games this month, clearing this line three times.

The rookie is coming off a career-best 22-point outing in 26 minutes, and he’s a huge offensive piece off the Spurs’ bench.

Harper is 8-5 against this number through his first 13 games and has taken double-digit shot attempts in five straight — despite playing reserve minutes.

He’s out there to score, averaging 22.3 points on 17.8 attempts on a per-36-minute basis.

This game has a huge total (239.5), featuring two top-10 teams in offensive rating. Expect plenty of scoring and for Harper to be in on the action.

NBA player prop predictions

Williams over 10.5 points (-110): The Thunder are tough on centres, which is why Williams can be had at this number.

He’s comfortably surpassing this total most nights, averaging 13.2 points in his first season with the Suns.

-> Bet on the Thunder to win their 16th straight game!

The Thunder are enormous favourites at home — and Devin Booker is questionable — but Williams should see enough action to get to this number again.

Williams makes up for light shot volume by converting at a career-best 65.8% clip from the field.

  • He dropped 13 points on Oklahoma City at the end of November.
  • The 7-foot-1 big has cleared this line in seven of his last eight games.

NBA prop picks: Dec. 9

Best bet: Bane under 21.5 points (-110)

These teams are fifth and sixth in the NBA in defensive rating. They played on Friday and combined for 211 points.

This game has extra meaning, as each player of the NBA Cup-winning team will earn more than $500,000. As such, I expect both teams to bring it defensively.

Paolo Banchero has been eased back after missing nearly a month, but he’ll command a lot of possessions if his workload is ready for an uptick after playing twice in the past five days.

Bane has gone under this number in three straight, including Friday’s win over Miami. He was held to five points on 2-of-16 shooting from the field.

The Magic guard is unlikely to shoot that poorly again, but he’s been inefficient outside of the line.

  • Bane is putting up career-worst numbers from the field (43.9%) and 3-point land (32.5%).
  • Miami has been a tough team to exploit from deep. The Heat are holding opponents to the second-lowest 3-point percentage in the NBA.

Franz Wagner’s ankle injury should give Bane more offensive responsibility, but Banchero’s return offsets that to some degree.

Key stat: In 14 games with Banchero, Bane has averaged 14.8 points (per StatMuse).

Best NBA picks

Mamukelashvili over 4.5 rebounds (-138): The first-year Raptor has been making a modest impact that could lead to more playing time.

Mamukelashvili got the start for Jakob Poeltl on Dec. 4 — the first leg of a back-to-back — and delivered with 13 points and eight rebounds over a season-high 37 minutes.

-> Tonight: Knicks vs. Raptors in the NBA Cup quarterfinal. Bet now!

He was back to the bench and quiet on the second leg, but is coming off another strong performance.

Mamukelashvili logged 23 minutes in a reserve role Sunday, scoring 14 points and grabbing six rebounds.

  • The 26-year-old has cleared this line in four of his last five games, including a Nov. 30 contest vs. the Knicks (seven boards).
  • He’s 10-9 vs. this line since going 0-for-5 to start the season.

Poeltl hasn’t cracked the 30-minute mark once this month, opening up some extra minutes for Toronto’s reserves like Mamukelashvili.

NBA player prop predictions

Barnes over 36.5 PRA (-112): Barnes has put up 35-plus PRA in six of eight games without RJ Barrett, who’s sidelined again tonight.

-> Bet on Scottie Barnes & the Raptors on Tuesday night

He did fall short when these teams played last month, but Barnes topped this number three of four times since.

Over those four games, Barnes is averaging 35.8 PRA.

  • He’s recorded double-digit rebounds 12 times this season and has scoring upside without Barrett in the lineup.
  • Brandon Ingram is Toronto’s No. 1 option, but he’s only led the Raptors in scoring in nine of the team’s 25 games.
  • Averaging 7.3 assists in December, Barnes is capable of a 20-and-10 showing and blowing past this line.
