Coming off a weekend full of upset wins, our staff has ATS picks for every game in NFL Week 6.
The Week 6 narrative: The Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles both suffered their first losses in Week 5, leaving no undefeated teams remaining. With five teams favoured by a touchdown or more in Week 6, the dogs could be barking once again. The Green Bay Packers are the biggest favourites this week over the downtrodden Cincinnati Bengals.

Thursday Night Football pick
Eagles vs. Giants (Thursday, Oct. 9: 8:15 p.m. ET)
NorthStar Bets line: Eagles -7.5
Horrobin says: Philadelphia hasn’t covered this number yet, thanks in large part to an out-of-sync offence that ranks 30th in total yards. A week after taking six sacks, the Eagles will play without three-time Pro Bowl guard Landon Dickerson, which isn’t ideal. The Giants won outright as 6-point underdogs vs. the Chargers when they last played at home.
Staff picks: Perri (PHI) | Horrobin (NYG) | Closs (NYG) | Toman (PHI) | Psihogios (PHI)
Sunday morning NFL London pick
Broncos vs. Jets (Sunday, Oct. 12: 9:30 a.m. ET)
NorthStar Bets line: Broncos -7.5
Closs says: Denver’s been a roller coaster to start the year, but is fresh off a huge win over the Eagles. The defence is legit, and the offence is good enough to expose the Jets. New York has conceded 27+ points in all five games. The Broncos should be able to move the ball at will while holding Justin Fields and the Jets’ offence in check.
Staff picks: Perri (NYJ) | Horrobin (DEN) | Closs (DEN) | Toman (DEN) | Psihogios (DEN)
NFL ATS picks: The early Sunday slate
Cardinals vs. Colts (Sunday, Oct. 12: 1 p.m. ET)
NorthStar Bets line: Colts -7
Horrobin says: The vibes should be on the floor for the Cardinals after they were outscored 16-0 in the fourth quarter last week to lose to the woeful Titans … at home. Arizona is 1-3 ATS and SU in its past four games and just doesn’t seem to have the scoring upside that Indy (4-1 ATS) has. The Cardinals are averaging 20.6 PPG, while the Colts have scored 29+ points in four of five.
Staff picks: Perri (IND) | Horrobin (IND) | Closs (ARI) Toman (ARI) | Psihogios (IND)
Browns vs. Steelers (Sunday, Oct. 12: 1 p.m. ET)
NorthStar Bets line: Steelers -5.5
Perri says: Pittsburgh is coming off a bye week while Cleveland is returning from London to play its third game in a wildly different time zone. That doesn’t seem fair now, does it? The Browns’ offence is awful, ranking last in PPG and bottom-five in EPA per play and pressure rate allowed. I don’t think that unit can figure it out against a well-rested Steelers defence.
Staff picks: Perri (PIT) | Horrobin (PIT) | Closs (PIT) | Toman (PIT) | Psihogios (PIT)
Cowboys vs. Panthers (Sunday, Oct. 12: 1 p.m. ET)
NorthStar Bets line: Cowboys -3
Perri says: It’s time we recognize Dallas’ offence as one of the best in football. The Cowboys are averaging 30.2 PPG, sit third in EPA per play, and rank top-10 in both pass block and rush block win rate. Their defence can’t stop a nose bleed, which is a problem, but the Panthers don’t put up enough points to worry me. I think Dallas wins this game by multiple scores.
Staff picks: Perri (DAL) | Horrobin (DAL) | Closs (DAL) | Toman (DAL) | Psihogios (CAR)
Chargers vs. Dolphins (Sunday, Oct. 12: 1 p.m. ET)
NorthStar Bets line: Chargers -4
Toman says: The Chargers are banged up and in need of a bounce back following two bad losses in a row. Well, they’ve found their match in the 1-4 Dolphins, whose only victory came against the winless Jets. Miami is without playmaker Tyreek Hill, has lost three of its four games by more than this number, and is comfortably one of the worst defensive teams in the NFL.
Staff picks: Perri (MIA) | Horrobin (LAC) | Closs (LAC) | Toman (LAC) | Psihogios (MIA)
Rams vs. Ravens (Sunday, Oct. 12: 1 p.m. ET)
NorthStar Bets line: Rams -7.5
Perri says: This has blowout written all over it. Los Angeles has a rest advantage last playing on TNF. It will be eager to get back in the win column and flex its offensive muscles against Baltimore’s horrid defence. The Ravens have allowed a league-worst 35.4 PPG and don’t have Lamar Jackson to bail them out on the other end. This is a big number for a road team, but a justified one.
Staff picks: Perri (LAR) | Horrobin (LAR) | Closs (LAR) | Toman (BAL) | Psihogios (LAR)
Seahawks vs. Jaguars (Sunday, Oct. 12: 1 p.m. ET)
NorthStar Bets line: Jaguars -1
Horrobin says: Jacksonville stumbled its way — literally — into a home victory over the Chiefs last week despite getting outgained by 150+ yards and losing the turnover battle. Up next is a Seattle team with an extra day of rest and a glistening road record. The Seahawks, whose +41 point differential is the fourth-best in the NFL, are 9-1 as visitors since the start of last season.
Staff picks: Perri (SEA) | Horrobin (SEA) | Closs (SEA) | Toman (SEA) | Psihogios (SEA)
49ers vs. Buccaneers (Sunday, Oct. 12: 1 p.m. ET)
NorthStar Bets line: Buccaneers -3
Closs says: Tampa Bay has all the makings of an elite team. It is 4-1 this season with the lone loss coming against the Eagles. But the difference in that game was a blocked field goal that was returned for a Philly TD. San Francisco upset the Rams in Week 5 to reach 4-1, but the foundation is cracking. Both Mac Jones and Brock Purdy are questionable for Sunday, as well as receivers Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall. Tampa’s offence is more reliable, scoring 27.0 PPG. It should be difficult for San Fran to keep pace with so many offensive pieces missing practice.
Staff picks: Perri (SF) | Horrobin (SF) | Closs (TB) | Toman (SF) | Psihogios (SF)
NFL 4 p.m. slate
Titans vs. Raiders (Sunday, Oct. 12: 4:05 p.m. ET)
NorthStar Bets line: Raiders -4.5
Closs says: Even after their first win, I don’t have any faith in the Titans. They needed an all-time choke job from the Cardinals for their one-point win in Week 5. The Raiders haven’t yielded much better results, but the squad has played five potential playoff teams to start the season. They are searching for their first win since Week 1 and have a soft landing spot against arguably the league’s worst team. Tennessee has the second-worst average scoring margin in the NFL (-13.6).
Staff picks: Perri (LV) | Horrobin (LV) | Closs (LV) | Toman (TEN) | Psihogios (LV)
Place your bets on the 4 p.m. NFL slate
Bengals vs. Packers (Sunday, Oct. 12: 4:25 p.m. ET)
NorthStar Bets line: Packers -14.5
Toman says: This should have been a marquee Week 6 matchup. But with Joe Burrow sidelined, it’s instead a cakewalk for the home Packers, who are rested coming out of their bye. Cincinnati (1-4 ATS) has lost its last three games by 13, 25 and 38 points. Despite the hefty spread, I have no concern backing Green Bay as a monster double-digit favourite.
Staff picks: Perri (GB) | Horrobin (CIN) | Closs (GB) | Toman (GB) | Psihogios (CIN)
Patriots vs. Saints (Sunday, Oct. 12: 4:25 p.m. ET)
NorthStar Bets line: Patriots -3.5
Closs says: I am bullish on New England. The Pats have a stud in Drake Maye, whose 107.8 passer rating ranks sixth in the NFL. They are 3-2 and coming off a huge win on the road over the Bills. New Orleans beat the Giants in Week 5, but were down 14-3 at halftime before three turnovers from Jaxon Dart in the second half. Altogether, the Giants turned the ball over five times, and the Saints still only managed 26 points.
Staff picks: Perri (NO) | Horrobin (NE) | Closs (NE) | Toman (NO) | Psihogios (NE)
Sunday and Monday Night NFL ATS picks
Lions vs. Chiefs (Sunday, Oct. 12: 8:20 p.m. ET)
NorthStar Bets line: Chiefs -2.5
Perri says: This feels like a trap line to me, but I’ll bite. Detroit has been picking teams apart during its four-game winning streak, averaging north of 40 points and 390 yards per game. During that run, the Lions rank first in offensive EPA per play and second in defensive EPA per play. Kansas City has two wins against teams with a combined 2-8 record. Give me Detroit all day.
Staff picks: Perri (DET) | Horrobin (DET) | Closs (DET) | Toman (KC) | Psihogios (DET)
Bills vs. Falcons (Monday, Oct. 13: 7:15 p.m. ET)
NorthStar Bets line: Bills -4.5
Horrobin says: It’s easy to remember Atlanta’s 30-0 loss in Carolina and assume this is a bad football team. But the Falcons have covered this number in each of their other three games, including a 16-point win as underdogs in Minnesota. This will be the Bills’ first time playing outside the tri-state area, and they’re facing a squad that’s fresh off a bye.
Staff picks: Perri (BUF) | Horrobin (ATL) | Closs (ATL) | Toman (BUF) | Psihogios (BUF)
Bears vs. Commanders (Monday, Oct. 13: 8:15 p.m. ET)
NorthStar Bets line: Commanders -4.5
Perri says: The 2024 No. 1 and 2 picks square off in this matchup, and I’m leaning with Jayden Daniels and the Commanders. Washington just laid a beating on the Los Angeles Chargers, sacking Justin Herbert four times while rushing for 163 yards at 5.8 per carry. Chicago has a middling offensive line and a poor rush defence, and I think the Commanders can succeed in both aspects again.
Staff picks: Perri (WSH) | Horrobin (CHI) | Closs (WSH) | Toman (CHI) | Psihogios (CHI)
NFL ATS picks: Week 5 + season records: Toman: 7-7 (39-39) | Perri: 10-4 (37-41) | Horrobin: 7-7 (33-45) | Psihogios: 6-8 (36-42) | Closs: 7-7 (38-40)
