NFL divisional round ATS staff picks: Predictions against the spread for every game

NFL ATS picks

The top-seeded Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs are both off their bye weeks with the divisional round of the playoffs due up.

The latest: Unsurprisingly, Detroit and KC are the heaviest favourites within the four matchups, laying more than a touchdown each. The tightest matchup on the slate is between the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills, who are close to pick’em territory.

Find out how our staff is betting on the action with our NFL divisional ATS picks and predictions.

NFL divisional ATS picks: The Saturday slate

Texans vs. Chiefs (Saturday, Jan. 18: 4:30 p.m.)

NorthStar Bets line: Kansas City -8.5
Perri says: C.J. Stroud is a house cat. The Texans’ quarterback has struggled to perform on the road, and outdoors, in his career. Patrick Mahomes elevates his game in the playoffs (13-5 ATS record) and Steve Spagnuolo has the personnel to give Stroud fits. The Chiefs have been to six straight AFC championship games and I say they make it to a seventh in emphatic fashion.
Pick: Chiefs -8.5

Commanders vs. Lions (Saturday, Jan. 18: 8:00 p.m.)

NorthStar Bets line: Detroit -9.5
Horrobin says: After a so-so NFL debut, Jayden Daniels has authored a storybook rookie season that includes an upset road playoff win just last week. The Commanders are 4-1-1 ATS as underdogs since Week 2, and I think the mobility of Daniels can help them hang in. Detroit allowed an NFL-high 6.2 yards per carry to opposing quarterbacks this season.
Pick: Commanders +9.5

NFL Sunday slate

Rams vs. Eagles (Sunday, Jan. 12: 3 p.m.)

NorthStar Bets line: Philadelphia -6
Horrobin says: The Eagles have the No. 1 rush offence based on EPA per play (according to rbsdm.com), and I expect them to run wild against the Rams. We’ve already seen it, as Philly rushed for a whopping 314 yards in a 17-point win over L.A. in November. The Eagles are 5-1-1 ATS in their past seven home games, and anything inside of a touchdown looks good to me.
Pick: Eagles -6

Ravens vs. Bills (Sunday, Jan. 19: 6:30 p.m.)

Embed: #106401

NorthStar Bets line: Baltimore -1
Perri says: One of Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson will be named NFL MVP in a few weeks. These are two evenly matched teams with elite quarterbacks at the helm. That said, I’ll take the home side in what’s practically a pick’em. Buffalo is a perfect 9-0 at Highmark Stadium this year, winning by an average of 17.4 points. Allen has also been the better playoff performer of the two, which I have to consider.
Pick: Bills +1

Regular season ATS records: Horrobin: 120-132-7 | Perri: 116-136-7
