NFL betting guide

Only one week remains in the NFL regular season.

Before the jam-packed 14-game slate on Sunday, NFL fans are treated to two Saturday games, both with playoff implications. Only one spot in each conference remains unclaimed, the AFC’s last wildcard position, and the NFC South division winner.

Check out our Week 18 NFL betting guide, featuring staff picks and predictions to help you make the best wagers.

NFL betting guide: Week 18

Let’s lay out what’s at stake this Saturday:

  • The Baltimore Ravens can secure the AFC North title and a home playoff game with a win over the Cleveland Browns.
  • Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals need a win against the Pittsburgh Steelers to keep their playoff hopes alive. They also need some help from the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets.

Sunday’s 1 p.m. slate includes games with playoff implications in both conferences.

The Washington Commanders take on the Dallas Cowboys with seeding still on the line.

At the same time, the Green Bay Packers host the Chicago Bears. Both the Commanders and Packers are 11-5 with the tie-breaker currently in Washington’s favour.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the New Orleans Saints in a win-and-in scenario, with the NFC South still undecided.

Similar to the Buccaneers, the Denver Broncos can lock up the last AFC wildcard spot with a win against the Chiefs at 4:25 p.m.

With Kansas City resting most of its starters, the Broncos are 10.5-point favourites.

The biggest game of the week comes in prime time: the Minnesota Vikings travel to Detroit to face the Lions. The winner of this game will receive the No. 1 seed in the NFC and the lone first-round bye.

Here are some quick betting notes for Week 17:

  • Highest total: Vikings vs. Lions (56)
  • Biggest spread: Browns vs. Ravens (-20)
  • Seven teams have odds of +200 or longer to win (Browns, Panthers, Bears, Saints, Cowboys, Chiefs, Rams)

Lines and odds are listed as of 2:05 p.m. ET on Jan. 3.
