Betting preview

The favourite: Argentina (+130)

Argentina is a worthy favourite.

Led by Lionel Messi, the team is the defending Copa America and World Cup champions.

The last time Argentina suffered a meaningful tournament loss was in 2019 when Brazil eliminated them from the 2019 Copa semifinal. Since then, the squad has gone 43-11-2. That includes an undefeated run in the Copa America to this point.

The Argentines are a complete group with depth throughout the pitch.

Messi leads the way up front but Julian Alvarez and Lautaro Martinez and among the world’s best forwards. The latter is leading the race for the Golden Boot with four goals.

Emiliano Martinez is a proven commodity in goal, and arguably the keeper of the tournament.

Argentina has reached the finals in the last three major international tournaments and looks to add another Copa America title to the country’s long list of achievements.

The underdog: Colombia (+275)

Colombia has been just as good as Argentina, if not better.

The Colombians have conceded only two goals while scoring 12. That includes a 5-0 thrashing of Panama in the quarterfinal.

The team is led by James Rodriguez who is many’s pick to win the player of the tournament.

He has one goal and five assists and has put on a vintage performance this tournament reminiscent of his 2014 World Cup.

The nation’s 27-game unbeaten streak will be put to the test as Colombia is a slight underdog (+130) to win the trophy.
